Dr. Azarbal came highly recommended by a friend whose family has been seeing him for over 15 years. I called for an appointment and the first available time slot was a month away. I was willing to wait, I heard this office was great and the reviews seemed to agree. I had a late afternoon appointment. When I checked in the receptionist could not find my name in the schedule. I pulled up my call log to show that I did speak to someone in the office a month ago. Without skipping a beat, she worked me in. I filled out some forms and she looked up my dental insurance, which seemed easy peasy for her to do. Despite the initial disappointment of not being properly scheduled, I had a great experience with my X-rays and exam. The office vibe is relaxed and friendly. Although it was busy, Dr. Azarbal maintained a very pleasant disposition and I could hear him asking other patients if they were comfortable. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and he's an attentive listener. He thoroughly explained what was going on with my teeth. Even though the office was shutting down for the day (remember they worked me in), he took his time to give me dental "mini-lessons" with enthusiasm. He and his staff were very courteous and attentive to my needs, and they always checked to be sure I was comfortable. We have a treatment plan and my next few appointments are booked. Excellent. Dr. Azarbal did incredible work on my teeth (could not even tell between his work and my own real teeth). Came here for years. Had to switch dentists due to insurance the past year. Very unhappy about this as I came here for years. I even chose to pay out of pocket for years to continue seeing him cause he is a great dentist. Does great work and is honest and ethical. Dr. Azarbal is BEST dentist I've ever been to. I was looking to brighten my smile, so I chose Pasadena Dental Aesthetics based on the pictures of their work. I don't trust dentists who mainly do smile makeovers of rotten/missing teeth then make them look "ok." Those type of before and after pics look dramatic, but they are passing a low bar. I wanted to raise my already-ok teeth to Hollywood level. I needed an expert in porcelain veneers. The process couldn't have gone smoother with Dr. Azarbal. He communicated very clearly, identified my main issues, then worked with his lab to create a perfect smile. Part of the process is wearing temporary veneers while the permanent ones are being created. I had looked into other dentists who skipped this step and basically did a "smile in a day" type work, but anything rushed is going to be shoddy. Don't judge a book by its cover - I drive by this place everyday going to work, and never did once realized that it's a business. I am giving this place a 5 stars rating! In a nutshell, this was an emergency visit because the pain was unbearable. It was extremely so bad that if Dental Aesthetics didn't take me then my next stop would've been at a hospital ER for my tooth. I called in to Dental Aesthetics because I found them on yelp (hello helpers!) and it's close to work. I explained to the office staff that my dentist couldn't detect what's wrong with my tooth and asked me to return back in a week, I left her office with excruciating pain (because she needs to book me for 2 hours and doesn't have any openings)... ... versus Dental Aesthetics asked me to come in right away, and they were able to tell me what's wrong - and a quick action plan. I came back within a couple of days for my root canal, then a week later for my crown. All procedures were done at one location. WOW, this is where I am very impressed-SAME DAY crown! I never even needed a temporary crown, because the equipment they use is all technology up-to-date. I didn't have to wait 4 weeks until the lab returns the crown, and then having to come back to get it fitted. All I have to do is wait 30 mins until the crown is done, and pop it right in because it's already pre-measured. Remember when I said don't judge a book by its cover? The inside is remodeled, the front desk is super friendly, the dentists are professionals, and the dentist aid even offered me a blanket. Time is precious, time is money, and having to open up for hours is tiring, right? The doctors here are FAST, and they don't make you wait around. That means taking lesser time off from work (at least for me), I went back to work after my root canal and crown. I found myself a new dental office! read more

I fell in the middle of the night and broke two of my front teeth. Dr. Azarbal called me back personally and was so kind. He fit me in that same day, and examined all of my teeth, explaining he would need to keep an eye on all of them due to the force of the fall. He was extremely knowledgeable and diligent: I broke a different tooth years ago and the dentist I saw didn't check any of my other teeth and viewed it purely as a cosmetic issue with that one tooth. When my veneers were ready and I thought the color was a bit off, Dr. Azarbal made sure that I could be seen personally at the lab to correct the color, and waited for me at his office until I came back that evening to cement them in. Can't believe I'm reviewing my dentist. That should tell you something LOL. I'm TERRIFIED of the dentist. I had some bad experiences as a teen and only go because my husband basically forces me. Dr. Azarbal is just about the sweetest dentist you could imagine and is so patient and gentle with me. I don't think I'd let anyone else near my mouth. The work he does is great (I don't think he wants to deal with me any more than necessary hahaha) so I don't have to go back frequently. I was in pain this morning, feeling helpless with my current Dentist as they were not returning my calls. Then my husband found Padadena Dental Aesthetics, they saved me from horrible pain on the first visit by mid day. It turns out I had infections deep in my gums and the root of my tooth, it had to be extracted to clear the infection. From the moment I walked in to the cozy office to when the procedure was completed, the staff was warm and helpful. I came here because I had a missing filling and needed to get it fixed ASAP! Found this on my dental provider's website and saw the Yelp reviews were fairly positive, so I scheduled my first visit not knowing what to expect. Dr. Azarbal and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. He's super upbeat, moves fast but makes sure you know what's happening so you don't feel lost. Dr. Mansuri was also fantastic and he's their root canal specialist. And obviously... my missing filling was more than just a filling with that note! Both are super friendly and great at their jobs. Dr. Mansuri comes in once a week and he called me after my first root canal to make sure everything was ok! Another note - super high tech office. II actually found this office through 1-800-dentist after having a terrible and horrifying Root Canal done at another office recommended by my family, I'll never do that again! The first time I spoke with this office I picked up a very professional vibe. Megan helped me with the booking of all of my appointments beautifully. Dr. Azarbal examined and recommended that I see Specialist Dr. Mansouri. Between all 3 of them and even so the rest of the staff, I must say I was instantly much more at ease with the idea of seeing another dentist! I had a great consultation with Dr. Mansouri, we exercised ever option before making a final decision on what we were going to do to fix this problem that I had from the previous dentist, an infected tooth / Root Canal. Dr. Mansouri was very prompt and informative on any and ever question that I had or had not asked. Emense detail and knowledge given with every answer! We came to the decision of re-operating on the tooth, a second root canal. I must say I could not be any happier with the fix so far, I am once again able to get back to my physical life, cycling, going to the gym, and hiking. It feels great! The Dr. also kept in touch and checked up on me repeatedly after the operation to make sure everything was well! This was the best dental experience ever! Being a person that works in the dental industry I look for allot of things in a dental office: professionalism in the staff, cleanliness, and advances in technology, but most importantly what type of dentist he is. I went in to get some fillings on my front teeth(done by previous dentists) that had fallen out replaced. I just expected it to be temporary bc they fall out every 6 months and all my old dentists would tell me it would be a temp fix and try to talk me into an expensive veneer. Dr. Azarbal took so much time to explain everything to me and told me that they would not fall out if he did them. Its been 2 years and everything still looks great! Five aren't enough stars to express my satisfaction with Dr. Azarbal's dental practice, and indeed his entire team. I'd give them ten if I could. Let me begin by saying I'm rather phobic of dentists, and not a little wary of the modern tendency to gouge and upsell one into some theoretically ideal (and ruinously expensive) course of treatment instead of an appropriate plan to fit one's age and circumstances. And I'm particularly unimpressed by bling -- you know, those large, impersonal, designer-decorated practices with far too much artwork and potted plants and an army of faceless receptionists and office staff, most of whom look both unhappy and underpaid. Pasadena Dental Aesthetics is an oasis from the get-go. Housed in a small, unassuming cottage, the office feels more like a welcoming family home than a dental practice. The staff are friendly, low-key, and laugh a lot. The entire atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and puts even a nervous and mistrustful patient like myself at ease. I came to PDA with an infection and a raft of dental and periodontal issues resulting from neglect on my part. After the immediate crisis had been addressed, the extremely likable Dr. Azarbal and his team came up with a plan based on triage and need. Furthermore, my concerns about both the treatment and subsequent pain were heard and taken seriously from the beginning. Things to love about this practice: 1. A terrific, caring, empathetic, and friendly team who work well together; the atmosphere in the office is always relaxed and happy. 2. Crowns are quickly and accurately 3D printed on site, which obviates the need for temporaries and follow-up visits 4. Dr. Azarbal has trusted and highly skilled specialist colleagues -- an endodontist, periodontist, and maxillofacial surgeon -- who visit the office on a periodic basis, which makes for excellent communication, face-to-face discussion between the primary and the specialist, eliminates duplication, and of course gives the patient the convenience of true one-stop shopping. Like others here, it had been awhile since going to the dentist, due to various reasons. I was nervous, but had to go, as in the course of 2 days an old crown came off and I broke another tooth! As I was moving in 2 weeks to the East Coast, I had to get it all done, and fast. Turns out I needed a root canal and although I was nervous, both Dr. Azarbal and the endodontist were fabulous, figuring out a way to fit me in, telling me about the process the whole time, and keeping me comfortable. Dr. Azarbal took over that business & I thought I've give him a try since I had no reason to doubt his skills. 10 years later, after regular cleanings, Invisalign, one chipped tooth, and two small cavities I am still a loyal and happy patient.
