Dr. Azarbal came highly recommended by a friend whose family has been seeing him for over 15 years. I called for an appointment and the first available time slot was a month away. I was willing to wait, I heard this office was great and the reviews seemed to agree. I had a late afternoon appointment. When I checked in the receptionist could not find my name in the schedule. I pulled up my call log to show that I did speak to someone in the office a month ago. Without skipping a beat, she worked me in. I filled out some forms and she looked up my dental insurance, which seemed easy peasy for her to do. Despite the initial disappointment of not being properly scheduled, I had a great experience with my X-rays and exam. The office vibe is relaxed and friendly. Although it was busy, Dr. Azarbal maintained a very pleasant disposition and I could hear him asking other patients if they were comfortable. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and he's an attentive listener. He thoroughly explained what was going on with my teeth. Even though the office was shutting down for the day (remember they worked me in), he took his time to give me dental "mini-lessons" with enthusiasm. He and his staff were very courteous and attentive to my needs, and they always checked to be sure I was comfortable. We have a treatment plan and my next few appointments are booked. They confirmed my contact info and will send me text reminders moving forward. I look forward to coming again! read more

Excellent. Dr. Azarbal did incredible work on my teeth (could not even tell between his work and my own real teeth). Came here for years. Had to switch dentists due to insurance the past year. Very unhappy about this as I came here for years. I even chose to pay out of pocket for years to continue seeing him cause he is a great dentist. Does great work and is honest and ethical. Also he has outstanding bedside manner (this can be so rare among clinicians unfortunately). He's fun funny, provides outstanding patient education (some dentists dont care about this-but its so important), and is most personable, supportive and gentle dentist. Highly recommend. read more

My most recent visit to the dentist was un expectantly a less stressful experience. In fact I look forward to my next visit! This is mainly due to the calm and friendly nature of the dental hygienist, who informed me of the procedures and tools that she was utilizing and who kept tabs on my comfort level. (I was undergoing deep cleaning of my teeth and gums - ouch!) A big thanks to my dental hygienist, Mimi!! read more

I was a patient of Dr. Azarbal's for years before switching insurance plans. To make a long story short, I recently had a major dental emergency that wouldn't have been covered under my current insurance plan and needed immediate attention. Dr. Azarbal and his staff were responsive, transparent, and kind in getting me immediately seen and fixing the problem. More than anything, I value trust when it comes to finding the right dentist, and Dr. Azarbal is not only a good dentist but a fair and honest person. read more

Dr. Azarbal is hands down the best dentist I've ever had. I've been his patient for nearly 15 years and have had quite a bit of dental work done. He always does exceptional work. He is also incredibly friendly and caring. I'm leaving California but am seriously considering continuing to visit Dr. Azarbal whenever I'm in town and need some dental work done. So you can stop your search for a good dentist--you've found an excellent one with Dr. Azarbal. read more

I'm a person who is very passionate about their dental health, like most, I hope. After a lifetime of unpleasant dental experiences, over multiple continents, I must admit that I finally found a perfect dentist. If you cringe at the very thought of opening your mouth to have someone look into its multiple cracks and crevices, you probably understand what I mean. At Pasadena Dental Aesthetics, I've made three appointments in 2 months so far (and personally attended two of them without any lingering thought of canceling). This place is great, guys. If I say so myself. You'll get a warm reception, incredible efficiency, friendly staff, a no-nonsense examination and a fair estimate. You'll know exactly what you need to have done. And you'll pay less than you think. Dr Azarbal's CEREC machine is pretty great at saving you time AND money. All in all, look no further. They've got us covered. P.S. I've only written poor dental reviews in the past - this is the first time I felt inspired to leave a positive one. read more

My tooth cracked suddenly and I needed an emergency appointment. The receptionist was so kind and helpful, she tried to find a time to fit me in. This is actually the third time I've come to this dentist and every single time I've really appreciated it. He has a great sense of humor and does such a good job of making me feel comfortable. Once he gets to work, he works really fast and precise. I cannot say enough good things about this dentist and his staff! read more

Don't judge a book by its cover - I drive by this place everyday going to work, and never did once realized that it's a business. I am giving this place a 5 stars rating! In a nutshell, this was an emergency visit because the pain was unbearable. It was extremely so bad that if Dental Aesthetics didn't take me then my next stop would've been at a hospital ER for my tooth. I called in to Dental Aesthetics because I found them on yelp (hello helpers!) and it's close to work. I explained to the office staff that my dentist couldn't detect what's wrong with my tooth and asked me to return back in a week, I left her office with excruciating pain (because she needs to book me for 2 hours and doesn't have any openings)... ... versus Dental Aesthetics asked me to come in right away, and they were able to tell me what's wrong - and a quick action plan. I came back within a couple of days for my root canal, then a week later for my crown. All procedures were done at one location. WOW, this is where I am very impressed-SAME DAY crown! I never even needed a temporary crown, because the equipment they use is all technology up-to-date. I didn't have to wait 4 weeks until the lab returns the crown, and then having to come back to get it fitted. All I have to do is wait 30 mins until the crown is done, and pop it right in because it's already pre-measured. Remember when I said don't judge a book by its cover? The inside is remodeled, the front desk is super friendly, the dentists are professionals, and the dentist aid even offered me a blanket. Time is precious, time is money, and having to open up for hours is tiring, right? The doctors here are FAST, and they don't make you wait around. That means taking lesser time off from work (at least for me), I went back to work after my root canal and crown. I found myself a new dental office! read more

Dr. Azarbal is BEST dentist I've ever been to. I was looking to brighten my smile, so I chose Pasadena Dental Aesthetics based on the pictures of their work. I don't trust dentists who mainly do smile makeovers of rotten/missing teeth then make them look "ok." Those type of before and after pics look dramatic, but they are passing a low bar. I wanted to raise my already-ok teeth to Hollywood level. I needed an expert in porcelain veneers. The process couldn't have gone smoother with Dr. Azarbal. He communicated very clearly, identified my main issues, then worked with his lab to create a perfect smile. Part of the process is wearing temporary veneers while the permanent ones are being created. I had looked into other dentists who skipped this step and basically did a "smile in a day" type work, but anything rushed is going to be shoddy. Dr. Azarbal takes the right amount of time and he does very good work. My teeth look so natural and I literally could not be happier. This is Beverly Hills level work. Just go. read more

I fell in the middle of the night and broke two of my front teeth. Dr. Azarbal called me back personally and was so kind. He fit me in that same day, and examined all of my teeth, explaining he would need to keep an eye on all of them due to the force of the fall. He was extremely knowledgeable and diligent: I broke a different tooth years ago and the dentist I saw didn't check any of my other teeth and viewed it purely as a cosmetic issue with that one tooth. When my veneers were ready and I thought the color was a bit off, Dr. Azarbal made sure that I could be seen personally at the lab to correct the color, and waited for me at his office until I came back that evening to cement them in. He went out of his way to take care of me and I am so grateful I found him! read more

Can't believe I'm reviewing my dentist. That should tell you something LOL. I'm TERRIFIED of the dentist. I had some bad experiences as a teen and only go because my husband basically forces me. Dr. Azarbal is just about the sweetest dentist you could imagine and is so patient and gentle with me. I don't think I'd let anyone else near my mouth. The work he does is great (I don't think he wants to deal with me any more than necessary hahaha) so I don't have to go back frequently. Special shoutout to Megan at the front desk who is also sweet as pie. She is always happy to talk to me and make me feel more comfortable. They are really great here. read more

Dr Azarbal and his team are, quite simply, amazing! The entire team are very professional and it's always a pleasure visiting them. Megan is so lovely and very considerate of your needs when scheduling appointments and arranging payment plans. Finally, Dr Azarbal is a gem! He has fixed numerous problems for me and each time the results have been amazing. He is so thorough and knowledgeable and his work is perfect. And he's such a lovely person!! I can't believe that I actually ENJOY going to the dentist now!! read more

I was in pain this morning, feeling helpless with my current Dentist as they were not returning my calls. Then my husband found Padadena Dental Aesthetics, they saved me from horrible pain on the first visit by mid day. It turns out I had infections deep in my gums and the root of my tooth, it had to be extracted to clear the infection. From the moment I walked in to the cozy office to when the procedure was completed, the staff was warm and helpful. Dr. Azarbal and his dental assistant Caesar both put me at ease explaining everything that needed to be done. It's sad I lost a tooth but great that I found a new and wonderful dentist. read more

I came here because I had a missing filling and needed to get it fixed ASAP! Found this on my dental provider's website and saw the Yelp reviews were fairly positive, so I scheduled my first visit not knowing what to expect. Dr. Azarbal and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. He's super upbeat, moves fast but makes sure you know what's happening so you don't feel lost. Dr. Mansuri was also fantastic and he's their root canal specialist. And obviously... my missing filling was more than just a filling with that note! Both are super friendly and great at their jobs. Dr. Mansuri comes in once a week and he called me after my first root canal to make sure everything was ok! Another note - super high tech office. Xrays show up immediately in front of you and they 3D print your crowns! I'm glad I found a dentist I like nearby. Would definitely recommend. read more

II actually found this office through 1-800-dentist after having a terrible and horrifying Root Canal done at another office recommended by my family, I'll never do that again! The first time I spoke with this office I picked up a very professional vibe. Megan helped me with the booking of all of my appointments beautifully. Dr. Azarbal examined and recommended that I see Specialist Dr. Mansouri. Between all 3 of them and even so the rest of the staff, I must say I was instantly much more at ease with the idea of seeing another dentist! I had a great consultation with Dr. Mansouri, we exercised ever option before making a final decision on what we were going to do to fix this problem that I had from the previous dentist, an infected tooth / Root Canal. Dr. Mansouri was very prompt and informative on any and ever question that I had or had not asked. Emense detail and knowledge given with every answer! We came to the decision of re-operating on the tooth, a second root canal. I must say I could not be any happier with the fix so far, I am once again able to get back to my physical life, cycling, going to the gym, and hiking. It feels great! The Dr. also kept in touch and checked up on me repeatedly after the operation to make sure everything was well! I would and do recommend this dental office to anyone in need of any kind of dental work! read more

This was the best dental experience ever! Being a person that works in the dental industry I look for allot of things in a dental office: professionalism in the staff, cleanliness, and advances in technology, but most importantly what type of dentist he is. I went in to get some fillings on my front teeth(done by previous dentists) that had fallen out replaced. I just expected it to be temporary bc they fall out every 6 months and all my old dentists would tell me it would be a temp fix and try to talk me into an expensive veneer. Dr. Azarbal took so much time to explain everything to me and told me that they would not fall out if he did them. Its been 2 years and everything still looks great! To top it off it was absolutely painless. He is now correcting the alignment of my teeth, with invisalign. I found it to be a no BS office and had a great experience. read more

Unlike most people, I LOVE GOING TO THE DENTIST. But not just any dentist! I've been to many dentists over the years, but Dr. Azarbal is by far the best. I've been going to him for almost 8 years now. He knows what he's doing and he does his best to make his patients feel comfortable. I've had both major and minor work done, and all of it has been top-notch. I have to give a shout out to Dr. Mansouri, too. Thankfully I've only needed his expertise once, but he was also very professional and highly skilled. Megan is also amazing. She's been there for years and knows the practice inside and out. If you're having any trouble deciding which insurance plan to pick, she'll give you the lowdown on each. Make that phone call now! Your teeth will thank you for it. read more

I want to start with I have a very strong fear of the dentist and it prevented me for embarrassingly too long. So I reached out to this office because I saw they do sedation for anxious patients. Five aren't enough stars to express my satisfaction with Dr. Azarbal's dental practice, and indeed his entire team. I'd give them ten if I could. Let me begin by saying I'm rather phobic of dentists, and not a little wary of the modern tendency to gouge and upsell one into some theoretically ideal (and ruinously expensive) course of treatment instead of an appropriate plan to fit one's age and circumstances. And I'm particularly unimpressed by bling -- you know, those large, impersonal, designer-decorated practices with far too much artwork and potted plants and an army of faceless receptionists and office staff, most of whom look both unhappy and underpaid. Pasadena Dental Aesthetics is an oasis from the get-go. Housed in a small, unassuming cottage, the office feels more like a welcoming family home than a dental practice. The staff are friendly, low-key, and laugh a lot. The entire atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and puts even a nervous and mistrustful patient like myself at ease. I came to PDA with an infection and a raft of dental and periodontal issues resulting from neglect on my part. After the immediate crisis had been addressed, the extremely likable Dr. Azarbal and his team came up with a plan based on triage and need. Furthermore, my concerns about both the treatment and subsequent pain were heard and taken seriously from the beginning. Things to love about this practice: 1. A terrific, caring, empathetic, and friendly team who work well together; the atmosphere in the office is always relaxed and happy. 2. Competitive pricing and ethical practices, with no sales pitches, TVs in the waiting area, or pressure to sign up for unnecessary bleaching regimens, etc. 3. Crowns are quickly and accurately 3D printed on site, which obviates the need for temporaries and follow-up visits 4. Dr. Azarbal has trusted and highly skilled specialist colleagues -- an endodontist, periodontist, and maxillofacial surgeon -- who visit the office on a periodic basis, which makes for excellent communication, face-to-face discussion between the primary and the specialist, eliminates duplication, and of course gives the patient the convenience of true one-stop shopping. In summary, if you want skilled, ethical, professional treatment from a charming and personable team who actually care about you as a person, and if you like the idea of all your dental and oral medicine needs being addressed under one roof, try Pasadena Dental Associates. You won't regret it. read more

There are many key factors that make Dr. Azrabal an absolute pleasure to work with. The key being communication and knowledge of what is going on with the treatment plan. I used to be afraid of going into the dentist's office fearing not knowing what is going on. After the initial consultation around December of 2011, Dr. Azrabal won me over with his patience and willingness to explain the procedure(s), and the reasoning behind its necessity. I've always wanted a smile makeover due to severe tetracycline stains when I was younger. Dr. Azrabal and his staff went out of their way to explain that they are not only going to give me the smile makeover I've always wanted but to make sure I keep this investment as long as I can by working on the existing problems first. Dr. Azrabal's willingness to share the knowledge in terms that most people can understand and his patience and willingness to work on patients at different levels of comfort is a definite plus for anyone considering a dentist in the Pasadena area. Make an appointment! You will be pleasantly surprised!!! read more

Like others here, it had been awhile since going to the dentist, due to various reasons. I was nervous, but had to go, as in the course of 2 days an old crown came off and I broke another tooth! As I was moving in 2 weeks to the East Coast, I had to get it all done, and fast. Turns out I needed a root canal and although I was nervous, both Dr. Azarbal and the endodontist were fabulous, figuring out a way to fit me in, telling me about the process the whole time, and keeping me comfortable. No pain, fantastic patient skills, a friendly staff, I only wish I could take them with me on my move to keep my mouth healthy! read more

I started in this office with the previous Doctor sometime in 2003. Dr. Azarbal took over that business & I thought I've give him a try since I had no reason to doubt his skills. 10 years later, after regular cleanings, Invisalign, one chipped tooth, and two small cavities I am still a loyal and happy patient. Dr. Azarbal is a very knowledgeable and always takes time to answer my questions that I come up with though my Google & YouTube education on how to whiten my teeth, or various "good ideas" that I've read through the internet. Let's face it, once you lose your original teeth, they're gone forever. So far, I haven't done anything stupid because Dr. Azarbal always listens and provides his solid professional advice. read more
