I went to visit this practice for a second opinion for my new veneers and I'm very impressed with Dr. Sunyoto. He was friendly and knowledgeable and took his time. He has the most advanced diagnostic tools. He has a 3-D machine that takes a complete view of your mouth inside and out, and it was great to see everything clearly. He wasn't out trying to up sell me. He was just giving me an honest opinion and I appreciated that very much. I'll be switching to his practice for my cleaning and any future dental work. Legacy Dental Pasadena - General Dentistry Near Me - Pasadena, California

Extremely disappointing experience with Legacy Dental, especially considering I was prepared to have my dental work done here AND move forward with Invisalign. I initially completed their brief video consultation a few weeks ago and scheduled an in-person appointment. I then had to reschedule because my dental insurance had not kicked in yet and was going to become active the following week. When I was ready to move forward, I was told they would no longer honor their promotional Invisalign pricing because I was BARELY outside of a two-week window from the video consultation. What makes this worse is that, in my experience, it was not made sufficiently clear that this two-week promotional window begins immediately after a roughly five-minute VIDEO consultation rather than after your first actual in-person appointment. Had that been clearly communicated, I obviously would have factored it into my scheduling decision. I spoke directly with David, the office manager, hoping someone in management would look at the circumstances and make a reasonable exception. Instead, there was essentially zero willingness to work with me. I explained that I had only rescheduled because I was waiting for my insurance to become active and that I intended to complete my dental work and purchase Invisalign through their office. None of that seemed to matter. What stood out most wasn't even losing the promotional price--it was how easily management was willing to lose a patient who was prepared to spend thousands of dollars with their office over a technicality involving a promotional deadline that I don't believe was communicated clearly enough in the first place. If your promotions have strict expiration requirements tied to a short virtual consultation, that should be made extremely obvious BEFORE a patient schedules around insurance coverage and makes plans to move forward with treatment. I was fully prepared to become a patient here and spend a significant amount of money on both dental treatment and Invisalign. After the way this was handled, I'll gladly take that business to an office that values the long-term relationship with a patient more than rigidly enforcing a barely-missed promotional window. If you're considering Legacy Dental because of an advertised promotion, I strongly recommend getting every deadline and condition clarified in writing before scheduling anything. read more

Legacy Dental Pasadena - The amazing team at Legacy Dental - General Dentistry Near Me - Pasadena, California

The staff was very friendly and I liked how Dr Sean checked in after my appointment to see how I was doing.

Went in for a routine cleaning and some referrals to local surgeons. Parking is alright, some street and a small dedicated lot, but when I went there was only one space available. Office is just about right for the amount of patients, but if you bring people with you, someone might have to stand. Daniel was a great hygienist and was talkative when spoken to. Dr Sean was great, quick, and very upfront about care, costs, and future health plans. Overall welcoming and will likely be moving forward with Dr Sean as my main dentist. read more

I'm a new patient this year, and so glad my husband and I found Legacy Dental. Lucian's cleaning is efficient and thorough. Both he and Dr. Sean take the time to explain procedures and treatments in terms I can understand. The entire office is a well-oiled machine, and I have not experienced any long wait time or delays during my two visits so far. My husband is in the process of getting implants and has more complex treatment needs. He trusts Dr. Sean and is satisfied with the procedures so far. When our young son is older, we'll be glad to have him join us for dental care at Legacy for years to come. read more

I'm so grateful I found Dr. Sean. I don't live close to Pasadena, but after doing my research, I decided to make the drive from the OC to Legacy Dental for my implant, and I'm really glad I did! Dr. Sean and his staff have been wonderful throughout the entire process. Dr. Sean is clearly very knowledgeable and skilled, but what I appreciated most was how comfortable and at ease he made me feel. The office also has some really impressive technology, which assured me that I was in good hands. I was most impressed by how much the front desk staff helped with my insurance. They took the time to contact my insurance, explain my coverage, and were so transparent about the entire process. A special shout out to David, who was incredibly thorough when it came to working with my insurance. From my very first phone call to walking into the office, I've felt welcomed and taken care of. Dr. Sean and the entire staff at Legacy Dental are amazing! I wish I could give them 10 stars! Warm, welcoming, and professional. I've had a few really bad experiences starting decades ago with other Dentists to the point that just thinking about getting a root canal was almost giving me a panic attack. I had been avoiding the dentist for years, and finally had a molar that was starting to crack and I knew I had to get it taken care of. A mutual friend, and patient, of Dr. Sean's insisted I give him a try. I'm really glad I did. Dr. Sean really listened to my concerns, and emphathized with my absolute terror of getting this done. He didn't do what other dentists have done, which is steam roll over me. He wanted to make sure it was as good of an experience as possible. The root canal was done with oral sedation - I wasn't stressed out, there was no pain, and since he makes the crowns in office - I walked out with my permanent crown all in one visit. I even willingly came back 2 days later for a filling I needed (no sedation). The work he did was amazing, and just as important: I trust him, his skill, his professionalism, his humanity, and his ethics (he also wasn't trying to sell me additional cosmetic services afterwards). He's now stuck with me for life, lol. He's more than worth the hour drive. read more

I haven't been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long time. I found Legacy on yelp and I am so glad I did! Dr. Sunyoto, Lucian and the entire team are amazing! Lucian is always really thorough with cleanings -- takes his time and doesn't rush through anything. Dr. Sunyoto has done a few bigger procedures for me (night guards, crowns) and they've all gone smoothly. They stay current with the latest technology for X-rays, 3d capturing, and in-house production of crowns and night guards which I think makes a real difference in the results and speed. The staff is genuinely friendly, not just going through the motions. I've gotten my whole family to switch over -- best dentist I've found in Pasadena. read more
