I've been craving a steak and truly you can't go wrong coming here. The inside of this restaurant has barely changed in 20 years. The staff has remained courteous and polite. My mom got the three course meal for $60. We split the soup and salad. French onion soup was perfect. The salad that has eggs, bleu cheese and crispy onions...was perfect. My mom thought her stuffed chicken was alright and not worth the price point. But my tbone steak was so good. It was a bit on the salty side at times, but it was so perfectly cooked. After celebrating many special occasions here over the years our most recent visit will likely be our last. We had an early reservation requesting a table by the window. There were empty tables by the window but the hostess wasn't seating us in any of them. When we asked her to honor our request she acted put out as if we were asking for something unheard of. It was clear the host staff had not read our reservation request nor did they care. The basic customer service here compared to other restaurants is completely lacking. The hostess told me requesting a table by the window in the middle dining room wasn't the correct way to word it in the reservation to get a table by the window. Ummm ok. lol In addition to being treated as if we'd stolen a timeless piece of art, they not only stopped giving complimentary birthday desserts but they didn't even decorate the plate of the dessert we ordered and paid for. Such a huge disappointment to not take and post a picture of the decorated plate like we had many many times before. While the food was good it's not enough to make up for the way we were treated. The $60 per came with a salad (I got a Caesar salad), entree ( I got the salmon and shrimp complimented by a garlic butter sauce), side( I got the creamy spinach), and a desert ( I got the strawberry cheese cake). It was just ok. The creamy spinach did not have flavor. The service was A1 from the greeting to conclusion of our visit. While I understand the restaurant would like to reserve the classic look. I went to Ruth Chris for Dinner on New Year's 2026. The food, was good, I actually didn't eat until later, but the Lava Cake, was moist, ice cream and chocolate was just delicious and my New Year's goal, the first day, losing weight and watching what I eat, I couldn't pass that cake up, though. It was pretty full, in the bar area to eat, because you had to have reservations in the dinning area. Great service, to start the New Year's Day off, at a good restaurant. read more

We stopped by Ruth's Chris on a Thursday after work to check out the Happy Hour. I ordered the kettle one lemon drop martini for $12 on happy hour and hubby had the old fashioned for $12. I enjoyed my cocktail but he wasn't a fan of the old fashioned. For our meals hubby had the steak sandwich ($18), which was poorly seasoned and I had the artisan chicken sandwich ($11). My sandwich was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. The sandwiches were accompanied by a large portion of fries, which were good. I've attached photos of the happy hour food and drink specials. Came here for an anniversary dinner with my fiancé. This was both of our first times here. They added red rose petals on the table to celebrate which I thought was a nice personal touch. But I think 2 free glasses of champagne would have been nicer. We both ordered the filet mignon which came out perfect but the size was smaller than expected. I had the opportunity to visit Ruth's Chris recently and my expectations were exceeded! The restaurant has an old school feel, which is definitely felt with their excellent and attentive service. It is clear that the client and their needs are the priority and it felt wonderful to be treated like true guests of honor. We had a reservation set at 5:00pm and were able to sit quickly once we checked in. Our waiter was very attentive and provided us with water, sparkling water, lemon and bread with butter to begin. We ordered the Veal Osso Buco Ravioli as our appetizer and it was delicious. The veal paired fantastically with the saffron, spinach and complimentary sauce. It was a great way to start the night. For the entrees, we ordered two medium rare steaks, the Cowboy Ribeye and the Filet. Both were cooked to the desired doneness and were delectable. I came in with high expectations for these steaks and they were definitely met. The meat was perfectly medium rare, soft to cut and flavored in an unforgettable fashion. To pair with our steaks we ordered a side of the Sweet Potato Casserole. At this restaurant the sides are large and usually split, which is what we decided to do. The casserole was another one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was sweet and perfectly accompanied with a pecan crust, one of my favorite nuts. We ended up not opting for dessert this night but that just gives us another reason to return soon! Overall, I was impressed with the quality of both the steaks and the service here. This is of course a very well known restaurant so I expected it to be a bit more upscale. They need a huge makeover! When you walk into the dining hall is like you've time travelled to the 90s. Please invest in your furnishings. The food was great! We tried the shrimp, filet, spicy shrimp, crab cakes and sweet potato casserole. Literally no complaints on how well everything tasted. The only issue was my original steak came out well done so they made me another and then I didn't have as much crab. I asked for a replacement and they brought out some completely different crab. Will was bartending, and he was a great host. He went through the menu items with us, and was very friendly. I ordered an Old Fashioned to start off, and it was great. We ordered a Spicy Shrimp plate, zucchini fries and sweet potato casserole. For our mains, we ordered the 6 oz filet with shrimp and Cabernet and a steak sandwich. All our dishes came out hot and the plate presentation was great! We were very pleased with our meal, and the bar atmosphere was great. We will definitely return! read more

Our group recently hosted a large party event at this restaurant, and while the quality of the food was undeniably excellent, the overall experience was significantly overshadowed by poor customer service. We provided the restaurant ample notice to prepare for our group size, including sufficient time to staff appropriately for the event. Unfortunately, this preparation was not reflected in the service we received. There were substantial delays in food delivery, and when guests inquired--politely--about the status, the responses from certain staff members were unexpectedly crass and dismissive. One particularly concerning comment was a snarky remark stating, "We'll have it out when it's ready," which set an unprofessional tone and made several guests feel uncomfortable. For a pre-planned large event, this level of disregard for guest experience was both surprising and disappointing. It is important to acknowledge that the culinary team did an exceptional job; the dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and enjoyed by everyone. However, memorable food cannot fully compensate for the lack of professionalism in service. This restaurant has strong potential given the quality of its menu, but meaningful improvements in staff training, communication, and customer service are necessary--especially when accommodating large groups. Four of us attended the Casimigos Tequila pairing dinner at Ruth's Chris. Seemed like there were about 40 people there. The Ruth's Chris people did all the work and talking. The Casimigos rep surprisingly really didn't say anything about the tequila and just turned on a video. Service was very good, especially when they were trying to serve 40 people all at the same time. They kept a smile on their faces the entire time. Glad to see that they are no longer taking silverware off your finished plate and putting it back down on the table for the next course - something that should NEVER be done in a fine dining establishment (I have surprisingly encountered that in the past at Ruth's). The restaurant's ambiance, at least the carpet, needs a refresh in our view. The dinner was a 5-course tasting ($125pp and well worth it), with the main course being a filet mignon. The first course (Amuse-Bouche) paired tequila cocktail was a Casa NOLA - it was delicious and the best cocktail of the night we all thought. Will definitely try and duplicate that at home. The food courses were well thought out and all were delicious. The main was not the best filet I have had at Ruth's Chris before, but it was ok. read more

Went to our regular dinner place with friends when we are in the area and this visit was as grand as always. Mary is our favorite server. I very much was in the mood for a steak, and I was not disappointed. My server was friendly, had great customer service and follow-up. To start, I had a glass of prosecco and the Caesar salad. The salad was generous, had a delicious dressing and was served with large slices of Parmesan cheese throughout. For dinner I had the steak and lobster and substituted grilled asparagus. The plate was served hot and sizzling. The steak was delicious, I did feel that the lobster was a bit overcooked and tough. That was at a disappointing. This used to be my favorite steak house. I LOVED this place. Hadn't been there in a while when I visited Dec9, 2025. Quality of food has gone down significantly. Had the 8 oz filet (medium) - which used to be exceptional. Now it's a shrunken hockey puck cut, dry, tough and over cooked. Nowhere near what it used to be. But priced at $45 for the steak alone. Simply put - you get just as good a steak at Outback or Chili's for much less. This is simply no longer a premium steak or meal. Other sides ok but not worth the price. Baked potato comes with that cheap cheese *sauce* that you find on ballpark nachos - not melted grated cheese. They still try to make it a premium experience with little things like asking you if you're celebrating, what time you need to be done/out, etc. But they ask multiple times and then fail to remember or use the information. They asked if we were celebrating any special occasion on the phone when I made the reservation. Nice touch. But they don't note it and ask again at the front desk, then again at the table, and again at the table one more time. Honestly why ask if you don't intend to note it. They also ask, at the table, if you have an event after dinner and need to finish by a certain time. We did and finished our meal with 10 minutes to spare. But our waiter disappeared half way thru the meal. We never saw him again. Then it took a long time to flag down another server to request our bill, and just as long to actually get it. Ended up getting out 10 minutes late despite finishing the meal 10 minutes early. Again, why ask if there's no attempt to use the information. Expensive price for mediocre steak and experience. If this had been a typical mid-level family restaurant, I would have readily accepted it and just avoided the steak next time. But given that it's a premium steak house with high prices, they need this feedback. read more

You simply cannot top this restaurant; it is absolutely perfection. I used to only go with a filet, but recently I moved to crab cakes and sometimes the surf and turf. Service can be a little slow when they are busy, but I never feel neglected for I understand being busy just means the people are enjoying their meal and that the server is trying their best *give then an adequate chance, I always recommend). I cannot even image getting "slow" meal service or a "just-so" steak or a plump crab cake; it just doesn't happen here and it if does, there is something wrong and RCSH will always make it right! Manager took it away and brought my rare steak back on a 500 degree plate. So now my rare steak is now medium rare. I figured they would have comped the lobster tail add on but they didn't. Then reservation requests were repeatedly not honored and service dropped off dramatically. We switched to a different steak house and only returned here to use the remaining funds I had on the gift card. I was actually shocked that not one manager but two stopped by to check on me. My steak was cooked the way I wanted and the side was hot and fresh but the server spent as much time chatting with a co worker as she did with me so my beverage was empty most of the time I was there. It comes with a soup or salad, choice of steak and shrimp($66) or steak and lobster($76) (the steak is a 6oz filet) with a side of creamed spinach or mashed potatoes with a dessert of the chef's choice. I got the Caesar salad, steak and shrimp with a side of creamed spinach and the dessert that night was a delicious bread pudding. This was our first time at this Ruth's Chris in probably 20 or more years. We were looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday and having a very special night out. To say this experience gets a mixed review would be an understatement. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation but were seated fairly quickly. After getting our menus we then waited a long time for our server to greet us. Once I received the wine menu, we then continued to wait for our waitress to come back. The first of many apologies from her. In total it was close to 30 minutes after we arrived before we were finally able to order our meal. The wine was good, as was the bread, and eventually all of our food came out. My daughter loved her stuffed chicken breast, calling it the best chicken she had ever had. I tasted it and agreed it was really really good. My wife's petite fillet, cooked medium was pink in the middle and very tender. The sides we chose, the asparagus, mashed potatoes, and Cremini mushrooms, were all very good as well. Having previously had the regular fillet, I can't say I was impressed with my petite fillet. Even though we both chose medium, mine was cooked much more than my wife's. Had our sever asked us to cut into them before she left, I could've sent it back right then, but she didn't. I was waiting to send it back, but I couldn't get our server's attention. I can't say they were all that busy, but she sure wasn't interested in us. During this time, others in my party finished their food, and we ate the sides as well. I finally had to flag down one of the managers 15-20 mins later who was very gracious and took my steak back. A few minutes later, our waitress returned to ask if we wanted anything dessert or anything else. Well, I'd like my steak. She saw my plate was gone, apologized again, and left. The manager returned a short while later with the new steak, which was much better. She also brought more mashed potatoes and asparagus, which was nice as well so I wouldn't just be eating meat. The bill came, and I noticed they didn't charge for my filet. I don't know if it was a waitress goof or they left it off intentionally, but for a $51 filet that wasn't close to perfect the first time, I didn't complain. Dessert 0/10 horrible...they didn't even have a whole dessert and claimed they ran out and wanted only to serve berries and cream which is literally cream sauce with fruits.
