Went to a seminar that was held at Ruth Chris. Of course the service was extremely great. It was, a lot of people there, so the staff did work extremely hard, making sure that, all of our orders, was made to perfection. Everyone enjoyed, the food, which they did ordered, you can never go wrong, with nothing that you order on the Ruth Chris Menu. The area, area we were located at, was nice and quiet, so we would be able to hear our presentation, which we were there to attend. I used to go to Ruth's Chris almost weekly/twice a week at the location in Jersey. A year into the pandemic the patty size shrunk to be smaller than the bun lol. Used to be a great burger for $11. I eventually stopped going but after I moved to Texas I wanted to try one here. They don't mess with the portion size so this made me happy. Service and vibes are great as always, very professional and clean. I give 3 stars because $17 for a happy hour burger is a lot. I'll come back and try something different next time. read more

We stopped by Ruth's Chris on a Thursday after work to check out the Happy Hour. I ordered the kettle one lemon drop martini for $12 on happy hour and hubby had the old fashioned for $12. I enjoyed my cocktail but he wasn't a fan of the old fashioned. For our meals hubby had the steak sandwich ($18), which was poorly seasoned and I had the artisan chicken sandwich ($11). I've been craving a steak and truly you can't go wrong coming here. The inside of this restaurant has barely changed in 20 years. The staff has remained courteous and polite. My mom got the three course meal for $60. We split the soup and salad. French onion soup was perfect. The salad that has eggs, bleu cheese and crispy onions...was perfect. My mom thought her stuffed chicken was alright and not worth the price point. But my tbone steak was so good. It was a bit on the salty side at times, but it was so perfectly cooked. After celebrating many special occasions here over the years our most recent visit will likely be our last. We had an early reservation requesting a table by the window. There were empty tables by the window but the hostess wasn't seating us in any of them. When we asked her to honor our request she acted put out as if we were asking for something unheard of. It was clear the host staff had not read our reservation request nor did they care. The basic customer service here compared to other restaurants is completely lacking. The hostess told me requesting a table by the window in the middle dining room wasn't the correct way to word it in the reservation to get a table by the window. Ummm ok. lol In addition to being treated as if we'd stolen a timeless piece of art, they not only stopped giving complimentary birthday desserts but they didn't even decorate the plate of the dessert we ordered and paid for. Such a huge disappointment to not take and post a picture of the decorated plate like we had many many times before. While the food was good it's not enough to make up for the way we were treated. I've been to this location several times but this time was a huge disappointment. I think our waitresses name was Erin (hard to remember because we came here on Sep 12th, 4pm reservations). She was too occupied with the 3 men who were seated at the table next to us who kept asking for wine that isn't on the menu, preferable Italian wine. She was even tasting wine with them. Entirely too busy to tend to us or anyone because of giving them all of her attention. Even the managers were tending to them too much. I ordered a glass of wine that came to me in a dirty glass, she didn't notice so a busser took it back for me and brought another glass. My partner ordered an iced tea & she didn't bring it until another table ordered the same, then she remembered. We constantly had to ask for things in which she kept forgetting. I asked for garlic butter and instead of bringing it out melted, it was cold. The only thing she asked if we wanted was more bread. My husband never got a refill on his iced tea. We enjoy dining here but this time completely turned me off. She brought out a birthday dessert & when she sat it down, the candle tipped over into the cake & went out & she says, "oooops, there goes the candle", and walked away so, I couldn't even make a wish lol. The $60 per came with a salad (I got a Caesar salad), entree ( I got the salmon and shrimp complimented by a garlic butter sauce), side( I got the creamy spinach), and a desert ( I got the strawberry cheese cake). It was just ok. The creamy spinach did not have flavor. The service was A1 from the greeting to conclusion of our visit. While I understand the restaurant would like to reserve the classic look. Talk about being utterly disappointed. This place was hyped up to be one of the best steakhouses in Dallas and it turned out to be by far one of the worst. Salad had a tub of dressing on it, steaks had no crust, potatoes were sent back because they were so bad and the mushrooms were terrible. I haven't walked out of a restaurant so quick. Please, do yourself a favor and never go here. It's not worth the kind of money they are asking you to spend. So many better options out there. read more

Haven't seen anyone else rave about the great Happy Hour selections in this lovely lounge, but my late husband and I certainly were fans! I particularly enjoyed the steak sandwich, minus the bun, with lettuce, tomato and tasty French fries. Both of us loved the delicious barbecued shrimp and fried zucchini, as well as the libations. The steak arrived sizzling on the plate exactly the way you hope it will -- tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. The sweet potato casserole was the kind that makes you close your eyes for a second, rich and just sweet enough without being dessert. And the cheesecake...well, I ordered it because it was my birthday, but I would have ordered it any night of the week. Smooth, creamy, and the perfect ending. I had the opportunity to visit Ruth's Chris recently and my expectations were exceeded! The restaurant has an old school feel, which is definitely felt with their excellent and attentive service. It is clear that the client and their needs are the priority and it felt wonderful to be treated like true guests of honor. We had a reservation set at 5:00pm and were able to sit quickly once we checked in. Our waiter was very attentive and provided us with water, sparkling water, lemon and bread with butter to begin. We ordered the Veal Osso Buco Ravioli as our appetizer and it was delicious. The veal paired fantastically with the saffron, spinach and complimentary sauce. It was a great way to start the night. For the entrees, we ordered two medium rare steaks, the Cowboy Ribeye and the Filet. Both were cooked to the desired doneness and were delectable. I came in with high expectations for these steaks and they were definitely met. The meat was perfectly medium rare, soft to cut and flavored in an unforgettable fashion. To pair with our steaks we ordered a side of the Sweet Potato Casserole. At this restaurant the sides are large and usually split, which is what we decided to do. The casserole was another one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was sweet and perfectly accompanied with a pecan crust, one of my favorite nuts. We ended up not opting for dessert this night but that just gives us another reason to return soon! Overall, I was impressed with the quality of both the steaks and the service here. This is of course a very well known restaurant so I expected it to be a bit more upscale. They need a huge makeover! When you walk into the dining hall is like you've time travelled to the 90s. Please invest in your furnishings. The food was great! We tried the shrimp, filet, spicy shrimp, crab cakes and sweet potato casserole. Literally no complaints on how well everything tasted. The only issue was my original steak came out well done so they made me another and then I didn't have as much crab. I asked for a replacement and they brought out some completely different crab. They comped my meal which was extremely nice. Our waitress did a good job at accommodating the issues we had. I would still recommend this place since the food surpassed our expectations. read more

Ruth's Chris has a Happy Hour! We went on a Sunday for Happy Hour. We sat at the bar area. You can sit at the bar, but the bar area also has high and low tables. We chose to sit at a high table. Will was bartending, and he was a great host. He went through the menu items with us, and was very friendly. I ordered an Old Fashioned to start off, and it was great. We ordered a Spicy Shrimp plate, zucchini fries and sweet potato casserole. For our mains, we ordered the 6 oz filet with shrimp and Cabernet and a steak sandwich. All our dishes came out hot and the plate presentation was great! We were very pleased with our meal, and the bar atmosphere was great. We will definitely return! read more

Food was excellent. Salad was very under dressed, though, and we had to wait too long for the requested extra dressing. RC is Our go to upscale restaurant for celebrating, so we dressed for the occasion. We were very disappointed at how relaxed the dress code has become! Beyond graphic tees, ripped dirty jeans and athletic shoes, skimpy attire, etc. Signage is posted, as well as online regarding a dress code but it is clearly not enforced, which can be done easily since most people make reservations it can be verbally stated and enforced if not in compliance. We will be rethinking our dining choice next time. There are SO many upscale restaurants to choose from, Ruth Chris! Stand by your policy or lose your loyal dining patrons. Decent attire is not too much to expect for those of us spending $250+ for dinner out while respecting our fellow diners and your own dress code. read more

Four of us attended the Casimigos Tequila pairing dinner at Ruth's Chris. Seemed like there were about 40 people there. The Ruth's Chris people did all the work and talking. The Casimigos rep surprisingly really didn't say anything about the tequila and just turned on a video. Service was very good, especially when they were trying to serve 40 people all at the same time. They kept a smile on their faces the entire time. Glad to see that they are no longer taking silverware off your finished plate and putting it back down on the table for the next course - something that should NEVER be done in a fine dining establishment (I have surprisingly encountered that in the past at Ruth's). The restaurant's ambiance, at least the carpet, needs a refresh in our view. The dinner was a 5-course tasting ($125pp and well worth it), with the main course being a filet mignon. The first course (Amuse-Bouche) paired tequila cocktail was a Casa NOLA - it was delicious and the best cocktail of the night we all thought. Will definitely try and duplicate that at home. The food courses were well thought out and all were delicious. The main was not the best filet I have had at Ruth's Chris before, but it was ok. read more

Our group recently hosted a large party event at this restaurant, and while the quality of the food was undeniably excellent, the overall experience was significantly overshadowed by poor customer service. We provided the restaurant ample notice to prepare for our group size, including sufficient time to staff appropriately for the event. Unfortunately, this preparation was not reflected in the service we received. There were substantial delays in food delivery, and when guests inquired--politely--about the status, the responses from certain staff members were unexpectedly crass and dismissive. One particularly concerning comment was a snarky remark stating, "We'll have it out when it's ready," which set an unprofessional tone and made several guests feel uncomfortable. For a pre-planned large event, this level of disregard for guest experience was both surprising and disappointing. It is important to acknowledge that the culinary team did an exceptional job; the dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and enjoyed by everyone. However, memorable food cannot fully compensate for the lack of professionalism in service. This restaurant has strong potential given the quality of its menu, but meaningful improvements in staff training, communication, and customer service are necessary--especially when accommodating large groups. I very much was in the mood for a steak, and I was not disappointed. My server was friendly, had great customer service and follow-up. To start, I had a glass of prosecco and the Caesar salad. The salad was generous, had a delicious dressing and was served with large slices of Parmesan cheese throughout. For dinner I had the steak and lobster and substituted grilled asparagus. The plate was served hot and sizzling. The steak was delicious, I did feel that the lobster was a bit overcooked and tough. That was at a disappointing. We made reservations for 6:45 p.m. , we got seated past 7:00 p.m. You can tell it was a very busy night . Every staff was just hustling. We ordered calamari for appetizer. Oh my, it was like a dessert, way too sweet! We will skip this the next time. For our Main course , we ordered porterhouse steak. Medium rare. It was good for two people. Perfectly-medium rare. It was delicious! Worth every penny. It reminded us of Peter Luger in New York. Our drinks were good, I had the rocks rita and my husband had a glass of Malbec. Service was okay. This is our first time in this location. We have been to the Pasadena and Beverly Hills, in So. CAL. This location is way too casual. We were both surprised that there's almost no dress code here.
