Amazing! My first experience at Ruth's Chris was definitely a 10/10. The food was great every dish had so much flavor. The ribeye was tender and well seasoned and the house Mac and cheese was delicious probably one of the best I've had. The stuffed chicken is a must order! The flavors were so powerful but never overwhelming. The staff is so attentive but not overbearing. Most of what you need they do without asking. I went with my two closest friends to celebrate a birthday the dinner was entirely stress free. We brought our own dessert and our waiter brought it out to us completely plated and personalized. The lighting was low and relaxed. Although there was a lot of movement around us we never felt uncomfortable. An associate and I dined there just before the Christmas holiday. Despite private parties and lots of holiday customers Ruth's Chris once again, did not disappoint. While I am a long time customer of Ruth's, this was my first experience with this location. Everything was on point. The service was excellent. The food was excellent, the steak was amazing and worth every penny. The sides have apparently experienced some recent "shrink-flation", so lets hope that is a passing experience. I do have to echo another reviewer's comment, the place has a very dated decor. Like off the set of the Godfather. LOL! If your looking for a great deal come during lunch. They have a pre fix menu that is very reasonable in price for the portion. This time we came for a special occasion at dinner and the service and food was excellent as usual. I got crab meat on top of my filet and I have found my new obsession. Ruth's Chris is the most un-chain like chain I've ever been to. Every person that walks in the door is treated like a VIP and if you are celebrating an occasion, they truly make it feel special. The waitstaff caters to your every need and is there to make your meal perfect from start to finish. We've varied our order slightly every time we've come in but our must order appetizer is the ahi tuna with beer and mustard sauce. This sounds SO weird, I know, but it's easily become my new favorite way to eat tuna. The sauce is light and has just enough pizazz to compliment the perfectly rare tuna. My boyfriend craves this dish regularly, it's that good. Some other notable apps are the crab stack (shout out to the mango and avocado in this dish ), the spicy shrimp (similar to Bang Bang but a cut above), and the wedge salad. As far as the stars of the show, I've had the bone in and the traditional filet and I give the edge to the traditional, cooked medium rare of course. Ordered with the MUST HAVE lobster Mac and cheese, the sautéed mushrooms, and the creamed spinach and you've got an immediate food coma with the biggest smile on your face. This is my second time at Ruth's Chris. First time was in New Orleans and it was not a very positive experience but this time made up for it. I came here for a work dinner with about 20+ people and we had a private room. Most appetizers and sides were preordered for us to eat family style, so we only had to choose our salad, entree, and dessert! Our appetizers that came out were the BBQ shrimp New Orleans and seared ahi tuna. For my entree I chose the NY strip steak with a Caesar salad and bread pudding for dessert. Between the two appetizers we had come out, I was VERY surprised how good the shrimp was over the tuna. Since tuna is my fave and shrimp is usually my least fave. But that night, the shrimp was a 5 out of 5. And the seared tuna was probably about 2/5, whatever sauce they put over it made the dish very salty. And the shrimp was on top of a bed of mashed potatoes with some sauce and it was amazingly delicious. My NY steak was cooked medium rare and seasoned perfectly, not too salty or too bland to where I needed to ask for a steak sauce. 5 out of 5 for the entree! The bread pudding dessert was good but a little too sweet. Honestly the bread pudding would have been good by itself without the syrup. Or use light syrup. But it was kind of drenched in it so it was a little much for my taste. I'm going to give this 4/5 stars. Overall I enjoyed the dinner party, we all had a great time and experience. This is by far the best fine dining in Baton Rouge! Besides the fact that the food is always 10/10, the service far exceeds any other restaurant I've been to, including other Ruth's Chris locations. The waiters, busters, host/hostess are always on top of everything. If they catch even the slightest hint that something isn't EXACTLY to your liking, they insist on fixing it. The pictures I have are just desserts but I enjoyed the steak and creamed spinach , it was great nicely decorated for the holidays and they practiced social distancing while spacing out the tables. If you like your steak juicy Ruth Chris is definitely where you need to be . The restaurant has the best gluten free bread that I have ever eaten! Two delicious desserts that are gluten free. Almost all of their food is wheat free which, to me, shows it's a top of the line restaurant. Many restaurants use wheat flour as a thickener which is cheating! My filet melted in my mouth. Definitely one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. We had cocktails before dinner and they were wonderful. I had a signature whisky sour. Delicious! Emily knew all of our names at the table. She provided that delicate balance of giving your guests the space to talk to another and enjoy their food and drink, yet being there the minute you needed anything.
