I'm so happy to have in my hands a delicious double dirty chai and a muffin from Quack's Bakery! I have a long day of flights ahead of me, it's awesome that there's a place like this in the airport. The barista was friendly and cheery, and asked how dirty I wanted my iced chai. They also sell Kind bars and Brookside dark chocolate-covered goji berries, the perfect airplane snacks! Took the advice I found on here and stopped here rather than the other coffee shops here. They're using a La Marzocco espresso machine at one store and a Simonelli at another with good quality beans. Only thing missing is some latte art, but considering we're in a airport, this beats Starbucks anyway. read more

Not even remotely the local feel of the actual Ruta Maya, but a decent reproduction at the airport. They were out of iced coffee which is odd considering they'd just opened for the day, but they made an Americano on ice, which was just as good, and probably the same thing anyway. For a morning traveler, coffee is important. Alas, at 10 after five a.m. Ruta Maya was still not open. When asked when they would open the response was short but rude, "when we get done with what we have to do." Last I checked, when a business is supposed to open, the staff should be ready. Long story short, what once was my spot to get coffee at the airport will no longer be Ruta Maya. Not only did they lose one customer, 2 other gentlemen left due to the rude behavior of the staff. Save your money for one of the other restaurants that offer coffee here, you'll be glad you didn't waste it here. read more

The barista is not that great, my latte was only 3/4 full and 1/3 of it was foam. Do not recommend the espresso drinks here.

Instead of Starbucks you will see Ruta Maya everywhere. A great spot to chill while waiting for your flight. p

For some reasons their chai latte with whole milk is the best chai latte that I have ever had. Very creamy and fragrant.

One of the ladies behind the cash register pulled her hair back several times (wondering if she touched the food afterward) and then proceeded to eat a sandwich behind the counter when someone took over the register. Very poor taste. read more

There was only 1 guy working the counter, and he was moving slower than a snail. People in an airport have places to go! This guy did not seem to give 2 cares to the fact that his customers were in a hurry. After waiting in line for 10 minutes and only 1 person was helped, I left and went elsewhere so I could make my boarding time. read more

Good coffee for much cheaper than Starbucks. It's in a good spot, too, not in the heart of all of the shops; rather, it's on the outskirts of it before you hit the terminal's gates. Staff was friendly and got my coffee quickly so I could go on my way. read more

Great coffee and fast delivery by mail-order. I have been drinking their organic dark roast coffee for about 8 years now and it beats everything else including Starbucks-in my opinion. I buy the beans and grind as needed. They respond fast for on-line orders too. They have been hit badly by the recent floods in the Austin area, however I will gladly be patient and order once they are back in operation which may be a couple weeks. read more

Come on manager of Rita Maya, if you NEVER have something stop showing it. The only 3 times I've gone there, all within the past 4 weeks, I have asked for things on display only to be told "we don't have that item" it's always been to same item. It's now become a game that I'll continue to play just because I have nothing else to do while awaiting a flight at gate 6. I guess you get away with it because it's in the airport. read more

Ok my primary reason for writing this is not necessarily about coffee. But yes the coffee is good and made fresh. As is the hot chocolate! However as I stood in line in my Army uniform with my wife waiting for our beverages the gentleman behind me had already made eye contact with the gentleman at the register and through some other means of communicating (without words) had already agreed and understood that the gentleman behind me in line was paying for our beverages. Even more impressive was the he himself wasn't even getting a drink, he was just patiently waiting in line to buy our coffee and hot chocolate. He paid and shook my hand and said thank you for serving in the military while I gladly said thank you for saying so. And they he went on about his day. It made the coffee taste a lot better and lifted our spirits. It's great to see such unity and support in our country for our service members!
