First. Yelp it's a food truck. Its mobile. Figure out a way that we can check in here. Wasn't able to check in during my 2 visits. Charming proprietor with a smile n sexy grin no matter how busy it was. The food is not overpriced. I've got a $2 grilled cheese and the $5 bacon mac n cheese. Perch is next. I've never had a bad meal/ snack here. Cheerful service makes up for the wait and there's always a wait. Check the website to find out where he ll be next.

The absolute best fried perch I've ever had in Toledo, accompanied by some out of this world tartar sauce. Seek this food truck out!!!

This was my second visit to The Standard, this time for an early Holiday meal. We had reservations…read morefor two and were promptly seated in a booth as requested. I hadn't realized before that there is a large room to the right of the bar area. We were there for a somewhat early dinner at 6pm on a Saturday and the place was bustling! Definitely make a reservation. (I used Open Table online two or three weeks in advance and it was very easy.) We were greeted shortly after being seated and our server advised us of the special entrees after taking our drink orders. We decided to split the roasted beet salad which also came with herbed goat cheese. Our server brought the salad on two plates- already divided. The salad was absolutely amazing!! I am seriously still craving it and the portion was so large that I couldn't even finish my half. Our server promptly boxed it up before our entrees were served. For the main course, I ordered one of the specials- scallops with rice sauteed with spinach. My friend had pork roast with carrots, which was a large portion - no complaints and she took home leftovers for another meal. I'll speak to my scallops... They were perfectly prepared, but there were only three scallops and a plentiful serving of rice and spinach. I love spinach and this side was very well seasoned. It didn't take long to eat the three scallops and the spinach pieces in the rice. I definitely enjoyed my meal, but wished for even one more scallop. Since my entree was a special that was verbally announced, I didn't know the price until I saw the bill. While it was delicious, I found the $41 charge a bit steep. The Standard is exceptional in almost every way- service was impeccable, amazing food, lovely ambiance- but be prepared for a pricey evening. My friend and I had a very enjoyable time and I definitely recommend this restaurant. I will say, however, that it can be difficult to talk because it is so busy. That said, it's popular for a reason! Check out the photos below for a virtual experience.

I personally like to see it on paper so I can view ingredients but Im going with the flow. The service is a stand out here. Started with garlic bread bites. Server indicated there is a light blue cheese drizzle that they actually drizzle at the table. Neither of us are big fans of blue cheese and made sure to tell her when she started. She said its very mild n not overpowering. It was not mild n it was overpowering. I love love bread n I only ate one square. French onion soup was good per the man. I wanted the chicken special but when I said Ididn't care for peppers the server said she didn't recommend it then. Not sure why peppers couldn't be removed? but I took her advice and chose shrimp instead. Shrimp n mashed potatoes for me. Lamb chops n some type of potatoes for him. It was fine. At the price point($200 for 2) I was expecting more than fine. They did bring him a bday dessert but as she stated they don't sing happy birthday. Ok then. Stashed the leftovers in the car and went next door for beers n bday shots. More my speed. I would come back if its someone else's choice

The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, not boxed. My husband had the chicken fajita wrap. He says it was hot and juicy, contents were well seasoned and well cooked. Fries were crispy without being burnt. Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We were here in December, only complaint is I don't think the bathrooms are heated, it was very chilly in there. One other thing to note, if you order root beer, it is birch beer and is very sweet (for my own future knowledge, I don't care for it).

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

If the prices were in line with other steakhouses in town, I'd be more forgiving -- but at this level, the execution feels like an insult to anyone expecting an elevated night out. The service, to its credit, is outstanding. Friendly, professional, genuinely welcoming. Though you get the sense the staff doesn't really care about the food either. With places like the Chop House, Rose & Thistle, and Mancy's all within reach, it's hard to imagine a reason to return. Then again, Final Cut isn't really built for the local food scene -- it's built to fleece high rollers at the casino, and on that front, mission accomplished. Also worth noting: a strangely dated interior, terrible views, and bathrooms with a co-ed waiting area and stalls with broken locks. Just an odd place all around.

We met another couple here to get dinner. It looked like you could walk up and get a table but we had made a reservation just in case. The dining room is really nice and classy. Attire didn't seem to matter but we were in business casual. We had lobster bisque to start (the BEST we've ever had). It was so creamy and full of lobster! Then got some sides and steaks! The steaks were cooked perfectly and our sides (the risotto and brussel sprouts were incredibly delicious! The scallop add on was also perfect! Our server Kelvin ran through the whole menu and definitely upselled some of their tastiest items! The drinks we had were the perfect amount of strong too. It was a pretty pricey meal but totally worth the drive and experience!

It's beautiful inside, the servers and staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is always very good. I also appreciate the convenient location off of 475 and the large parking lot.

I was disappointed in the lack of European wines but found an Italian on the last bottle list. It was $150 but I was desperate. Unfortunately, our server didn't come back for 15 min to take our order and then when she finally delivered it, she broke the cork because she didn't screw down far enough. Alcohol is a big money maker yet we sat for 40 minutes before it was poured. The food was the main problem. Not only a super slow kitchen but it was then served refrigerator cold. Everything. Fish, steak, green beans, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, even the plate was frigid. So we sent it back and instead of preparing a new plate, they tried to just warm it and brought it back cold..again. This was a $75 plate of food. At this point, we were concerned about food safety and said to just forget it. Luckily we had bread with our wine but they never offered anything else other than not charging us for the food which we didn't even touch. This was two hours after our arrival so went home hungry after paying for the wine. To top it off, there was a loud, raging fight in the bar area that we heard across the restaurant so we waited until they had left, concerned about a physical altercation. Went back to Souk last Saturday with 3 other dining partners and really had a great experience…read more We had a reservation and unfortunately, they seated us in the front room. It's nice in there, but it was just too loud for us. We asked our waitress if we could move to the back room. she checked with the hostess, and it was no problem. She graciously helped us move, thanked us and handed us off to our new waitress. She was really nice about everything. Our new waitress took our drink orders, and I decided to have a Manhattan. It was just the well whiskey (I'm guessing they used domestic whiskey, so the "e" needs to be there!) and it was really well made. They even used a giant ice cube that kept the drink well chilled without the dilution issues typical ice can bring. On to appetizers... We had the calamari and an order of hummus with onions and browned butter. The calamari was really nice, but kind of stingy. It was very well cooked, nicely breaded, etc. My one quibble is there just wasn't enough, especially for the price. The hummus... So, the hummus was a rather generous portion that was out of this world delicious. It was served in a large bowl with browned onions, brown butter, paprika and fried or baked chickpeas. The hummus reminded me of Middle East Market. Smooth, creamy, garlicky, well-seasoned. If you go to Souk and don't get this, you're making a huge mistake. After the apps, we moved on to our entrees... I had the crab cakes. They were really enjoyable, served with some nicely dressed, mixed salad greens. they were full of crab meat (but unfortunately not lump crab). The outside was crispy and the inside was very nicely cooked. Great flavor. One of the folks at the table had the butternut squash ravioli. It was probably my favorite dish of all that night. Amazing flavor and perfect texture. the thing that makes their ravioli the "leader of the ravioli wars" is they served them with a sherry, cream sauce that was just amazing. Kind of a sweet and savory, salty thing. Delicious. Our other guest had the Kafta Ravioli and said it was really good. I didn't try it, so I really can't comment, but it did look pretty great. After our entrees, we moved on to coffee and split a desert. Souk's Turkish coffee was great. It's been years since I've had Turkish coffee, but it was really strong and piping hot. Just perfect. We also split an order of their bread pudding. WOW! I've not had bread pudding that good since I was in New Orleans. So, my first trip to Souk really sucked (see my review). My guess is they were having a bad night, and we got stuck with a really sh*tty waiter. The place is expensive, but the food and drink substantiate the prices. Our waitress was very professional, she knew the menu and offered informed suggestions when asked. She seemed to know when we needed her. We were not rushed and really felt like they appreciated out business. Can't wait to go back.
