    a table full of food

Your typical bar food in the heart of Blue Mountain's village! Many options to dine in at Blue Mountain's village but this one is the closest to the main lift so of course, we made our way here. Staff are super friendly and nice. our server checked up on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. It's your typical bar food you can expect but at a slightly higher price range since it's at a tourist spot. Understandable and I don't mind. Started off with a caesar 10/10 - Really hit the spot for us. Came with a full stalk of celery which was huge! Half a pepperoni stick, which is a bit odd they took the time to cut it in half, but I guess to cut costs this way. Rimmed and seasoned perfectly. Would recommend. French onion soup 7/10 - Was hearty and warm after a morning of snowboarding in the cold so this was a good option. The grilled cheese sandwich however looked very sad and tasted just as sad (haha). American cheddar cheese on a single slice of bread. Chicken fingers and sweet potato fries 8/10 - Definitely on the smaller side in terms of portion size, Upgraded to be sweet potato fries which was the best decision! Nothing too special about this but your standard chicken fingers. Wings 7/10 - Only one flavour available, bbq. Came with veggie sticks. Nothing remarkable but a good sharing option. Nachos 8/10 - Always the best to share for the table. Cheesy, crispy and hits the spot. Additional sauces were on the side so that it wouldn't get the chips soggy - nice!

Ambiance: Great music and vibes. We were seated right away while other places had an hour wait. Fairly large place. High tables and chairs. Food: Lots of Vegan bbq options which was great. Buffalo cauliflower: great! Tasty Cheeseburger: a little dry, there was minimal sauce in it. Mac n cheese: this was tasty! Has to ask for it to be a bit saucier as that first time it came around it was dry Turkey bbq: this was to be smoked for 12 hours. It wasnt too bad just dry. It came with a salad, cold bun and mac n cheese. I had to drench each bite with the sauces provided on the table. Over all, it wasnt too bad.

Gord and I had supper this evening at Rusty's at Blue. We both ordered pork side ribs. The ribs were tender and had a smoky flavour. The mac 'n cheese was really good. It was a big meal and we both ended up leaving some food behind. Kait was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.

The jackfruit tacos were great. The cheeseburger was ordinary. The service was excellent and overall experience pretty good.

My family and I went on a day trip in Blue Mountain and after looking at the menu, we decided on this restaurant. My sister and I both got the prawn tacos and subbed the fries they originally came with for side salads. Each of the three tacos had two prawns and we both really enjoyed the flavours and sauces on top. One small thing-the pickled red cabbage was a bit watery, making them a bit messy to eat and I wasn't really a huge fan of all the crispy shallots on top of my side salad. Although, we all got quite a bit of food for the price which was nice! The service was good; our waiter was nice & conversational, but tended to take off this mask while speaking to us which took off a few points and forgot about my other family members extra tartar sauce.

We got a seat right away when we arrived here which was good because we were hungry. I was craving onion rings as we got it and I was a little disappointed in the portion. For around $9, we got less than 10 rings which I felt like was a rip-off. I found the fish and chips to being OK, it was a smaller portion than I thought. Service was average.

While waiting for the gondola to go up to the Agora Light path tour we stopped in for a beer and food. The kickin chicken sandwich was delicious! The smell of the chickin from inside the restaurant is amazing. The cauliflower bites were also very good! They were a huge portion good for sharing. That was plenty of food but I also got the poutine and that was too much food for the two of us. We sat outside at a fire table and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was friendly and attentive. Get the chickin!

Such a tourist trap. So expensive but the food tasted so bad. I'm usually not a picky eater but this was just crap. Not even gonna bother describing what we had Cos everything was just terrible and poorly made. Service was so slow. Toilets were disgusting with poop everywhere. Giving the one star for the free popcorn they serve at the table and the decent drinks. Avoid if you are at blue mountain.

So we're famished and the first restaurant you come across is Rusty's. It's just right off where the run ends at the Village and it just is the most convenient out or all of them. So we walk sit at the bar, have a brew, order a shareable and wait for the rest of our crew to assemble. The restaurant is decorated in a lodge like atmosphere. I mean c'mon now, you're in the middle of nowhere land, so outdoorsy would be the theme. The bar wasn't massive, but we don't mind sitting right next to a couple of blokes and chat it out. 1664 blanc was the beverage of choice. Nice and citrusy French brew that hella refreshing. Our shareable, chicken wings. Yep not the best we've ever had, but still good. I don't really mind it,, it's beer drinking food. Anyways,, service was great,, our bartender was very nice and approachable. Our waiter when we got a table was very nice and the service was very prompt. They tended to us very well. Thank you very much Rusty's for an awesome experience!

Very very very overpriced for average at best bbq. Do not be fooled by the "award winning" signs. They are from many years ago. We got ribs and the Nashville hot chicken. The ribs were not tender and sauce was meh. The Nashville hot chicken - do not get. Tasted burnt and was dry. However portions were HUGE and service was very friendly.

Overall impressions Decent food and decent prices. Stick to the bbq options though. Prawn tacos Each order comes with 3 tacos, 1 prawn each. The prawns themselves were juicy and well seasoned. The toppings weren't my favourite - tasted like those at home taco kits (salsa tastes like it came straight from a Tostitos jar). Pulled pork plate Pork was really tender with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. Not at all dry, and went well together with the side of pickles and slaw. The mac and cheese was on the dry side though, would not recommend them if you can substitute them out.

Smokehouse BBQ - 3 meats - BBQ pork shoulder, BBQ chicken and brisket

Came here with our friends recently for dinner during our stay at Blue Mountain Village. This was our 2nd visit and remembered our lunch here last time was pretty good. My girlfriend was hoping to get a pasta dish similar to her last visit but the menu didn't have any pasta selection which she was a bit disappointed. Maybe it was a lunch special last time. Both our friends ordered the cheeseburger which they both said it was pretty good. Keep in mind that the restaurant likes to add coleslaw and beans with the side of fries. We had the same sides on our dish which I might try changing next time. I'm not much for beans so I'm going to request next time to get more coleslaw instead of the beans (not sure if they would give more coleslaw?). My husband and I got the Smokehouse BBQ three meats for $32 to share - selected the BBQ sweet & spicy pork shoulder, smoked garlic brisket and BBQ chicken. This dish was delicious and the portions were generous. My husband really enjoyed this dish especially the pork shoulder which was very tender and juicy. If you have kids, there is a great selection on the kids' meal (I think it was $7 each). My daughter had the burger and I had a bite and it was delicious and our friends' son had the Mac & cheese and he says it was very yummy. We really enjoyed the food and will definitely be back when we come to Blue Mountain again.
