The vegetable soup was delicious, with generous chunks of veggies instead of the usual tiny pieces floating in a sea of tomato broth. The chickpeas and sweet potatoes really pumped up the volume in a good way...definitely not your average vegetable soup. I noticed they have their soups for sale in their to-go cooler, and if I was local I would have definitely bought some. The Smoked Trout Salad was equally delicious, with fresh greens and a great combo of goat cheese and avocado topped with a piece of fish. The lemon vinaigrette complimented the flavours perfectly. This salad is a nice size if you want something filling, but still light and healthy. The cafe itself has a casual and comfortable vibe, the service was attentive, and lots of items available to go, as well as fresh bakery items at the counter. I ended up buying a container of granola to take home, and it is absolutely delicious with fruit and yogurt!! I would definitely stop by again next time I am in Collingwood.

Okkkkie dokie Came…read morehere for a family reunion invitation. My elders suggested the place. Mind was thinking hmmm will it be a good place? Drove up with the family to join the shin dig. The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Fresh food for what we ordered. Hidden gem at this seafood restaurant was the tomahawk steak- MVP!. Give this place a try!!! Service was good 4/5

Shared an order of mussels in Thai sauce, sauce was good but the smallest mussels I've ever seen. Good, not great. Being from Nova Scotia I should know better than to order seafood chowder in Ontario but they did say they were a seafood restaurant. It came to the table as a rather grey looking goop with a shrimp and two mussels stuck on top. They were the only identifiable seafood in the chowder plus I only found one potato chunk. My friend had the Thai red curry soup which was more of a risotto than a soup and while not horrible was underwhelming. I won't be going back and to boot, the jazz band didn't show up!

So many restaurants can feel either too loud or too cramped, but Prime Seven Nine creates a comfortable atmosphere that makes dining genuinely enjoyable. Our seating was perfect, and the music level was just right for conversation over dinner. The service was wonderful -- attentive without being intrusive, with just the right amount of contact throughout the evening. And the food... I can't say enough about it. Everything from the wine and appetizers to dessert was exceptional. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed, and the truffle fries are an absolute must-try. I was genuinely surprised by how rich and flavourful the butter chicken was, and the steaks were cooked beautifully -- every bite seemed better than the last. To finish, we had the turtle cheesecake, and it was worth every calorie. This is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion, but honestly, it's also ideal anytime you're looking for an outstanding meal in an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. Congratulations to the owners and team -- very well done!

A few minutes later, another server did return to the entry area so we approached her to ask for a table. Eventually, we were seated and the wait wasn't the 45 minutes we were told it would be (thank goodness). You could tell this place is a local favourite. It was packed. Lots of screens showing the olympics and would be fun for any televised sporting events. We ordered 4 servings of 5 different flavours of wings. They were all plump and delicious. We also had loaded onion rings and a poutine with pulled pork. The evening picked up with better service and even better food so we were happy and full.

Food: Caesar salad, cornbread, and guac and chips tasted great, but the coleslaw salad taste okay. Chicken, Beef Chuck, and Pulled Pork tasted great as well! The Mac n cheese and Corn were great sides for the protein, and the beans were pretty typical but not bad! The Fried Cheesecake Chimichangas and the S'mores Cookie tasted amazing!
