Right close to the harbor, beautifully decorated to match the theme (white and blue). Open concept with huge ceiling to wall windows so you can see outside while dining in. During Covid, they have the tables spread out. It allows for a more intimate dining experience. I would definitely check this place out for dinner. Service: they were accommodating to our large party as a walkin right before the end of the lunch. Our server knew the menu well! Food: Creamy seafood- It was indeed creamy and was flavorful Orecchiette: Supringly looks can be deceiving. When it first arrived I didnt have much expectations but it was delicious. I ate all of it!

Overall a pretty decent spot, but I found the food average. Lake views were kind of nice and they have a quite serene ambience. Here's the rundown of the food: - table bread was just store bought bread which was a bit of a turn off, but at least it was warm and the butter was good - bruschetta flatbread was alright but way too heavy on the cheese - trout was pretty decent, good healthy options - steak was a bit underwhelming both in quality and seasoning - summer salad was good; pomegranate dressing was quite sweet. The food was overall not bad, but definitely a bit overpriced. Worth a try but doubt I'd return.

Food was delicious and appealing. Service was great. The hostess lacked people skills but the food and servers made up for getting past her. Next time in Collingwood will make a point of dining here again.

    Seafood Platter

Ordered the Seafood Platter: Serves 2 ppl 2 Butter Poached Lobster Tails, Snow Crab Cluster, 4 Prawns, 2 East Coast Scallops, P.E.I. Mussels in a White Wine Broth, Chive Whipped Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables. This restauraunt is in Collingwood near Blue Mountain, so on the way towards or away from that area its a great pit stop. The lake is Lake Huron btw, not Lake Ontario so its a different view than most people in Toronto are used to. If this were Toronto or Montreal I'd say the main course dishes are over priced, but you have to keep in mind when you're this far out, the options for this type and level of food are far and between. The different crustations were all cooked beautifully and the poaching on the lobster tails and the broth the mussels were in made all the seafood moist and delicious.

The service here was okay! We started off with Oysters to share and they were great! The remainder of our meal consisted of the seafood chowder, salmon burger, and salad with prawns were underwhelming. The experience as a whole was average

Catered to a group of 10 with ease. Everyone was happy, their menu is sure to please all of your party. We shared the calamari & mussels, both were good. Although not overly special or unique. Their house salad was presented beautifully, and equally as tasty, filling with a variety of beets, goat cheese & nuts. Steak & frites, grilled to perfection, paired nicely with crispy Brussel sprouts and au jus. I like their pre-fixe options here. The seafood linguini must stay as is- don't substitute for the zucchini pasta, as it waters it down and will leave you unsatisfied as two of our party ordered that and much preferred regular pasta.) I loved the scallop and shrimp however, we all didn't love the taste of the mussels this night. But, overall very good. Our server recommended the Leaping Horse wine, which we both enjoyed. The brownie on ice cream was awesome, the caramel really added to the dish and it was big enough to share. I also liked the coffee.

Great food, a little on the expensive side but worth it! We had the PEI Mussels and Crab Cakes to start. Entrees were the Miso Glazed Salmon and Shrimp Thai Curry Bowl. For the price it would have been nice to have a few more shrimp in the bowl.

This place offers a robust menu inspire of the covid pandemic. Overall I was a tad disappointed. The food was hit and miss. Some quality offerings but most underwhelming dishes. We were disappointed by the outside seating. For a place called "lakeside" we had a view of a parking lot. The service was a little delayed, but may be due to the pandemic measures and outdoor seating. Finally, the drinks were strong and refreshing. However, at the price point of this restaurant, I would have expected timely service, an on the money menu and a gorgeous view of the marina. We got none of that. Try: Seared tuna bowl Avoid: Ceviche, Lobster Risotto

Beautiful lakeside view, gorgeous interior decor and what seems to be a very fun restaurant is only whats worth it compared to its cuisine. Food: 2/5 Decor: 5/5 Service 3/5 Price: 2/5 Paid: 89.90 +tips for lunch for 2 Its almost always empty during lunch at this place and for sure understandable, the food was a quiet disappointing. They have 3 mains to choose from? A lot of sandwiches and flat breads and apps. From 15-25 each and the quality isnt up to it. I ordered the fish and chips however they name it like its some gourmet dish. The fish was fried WITH SKIN?? And riddled with fish bones, making it almost impossible to eat. After the first bite i sent it away. We also ordered steak, decent sized very thin and wasnt cooked properly we asked medium and go welldone, also sent back. Also sounded so good on menu but blasted our expectation. We had flat bread and calimary as apps, flat bread was super salty, and the calimary was okay but listed as cajun seasoned, which tasted more like a blast of cumin. SERVICE: was okay, the lady was nice enoufh to return our dishes, she was more fixated at the monitor screen though then her guests. I wouldnt come back to eat, as there are plenty of great places to eat around that location.

Amazing food, ordered a shareable sea food platter, it was so good. We also got the oysters to start, best oysters I've ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant

As they walked us to our table I requested a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate. Our server came by to confirm the bottle order and take our daughters' drink request. When our server came with the drinks the unfortunate happened: the tray tipped and the beverages fell resulting in shattered glass, wet clothes, a small cut on my finger and lemon in my eye. The server was mortified and we felt terrible for him. I went to clean myself up while the server and a colleague cleared everything away. 15 minutes later - at 7:50pm - our bottle arrived along with the drinks. The rest of the night went off without a hitch and the food delivered. The reason for my poor review is this: at 9:05pm we got the bill which included that bottle of prosecco, a bottle of red, multiple starters, multiple steaks with paid-premium sides. Not an inexpensive meal at all. We still had full glasses of wine to enjoy so I didn't open the bill. One minute later the owner of the establishment came over to give us a nudge to pay. I understand that you close at 9pm on Thursdays but considering the delay was in no way our fault I hardly understand the move. Furthermore, at no point during the ordeal did management/ownership come by to check on us and see if we were alright. Finally, no items were comped on the bill - not even an iced tea. I paid the bill (with 15% gratuity), chugged my wine and left without so much as a goodbye, thank you or apology. It's too bad that a restaurant with a nice atmosphere and good food within walking distance from me is never to be enjoyed by us again but this is the service industry and that starts with management/ownership.

Brian Perks sells great hardwood for your campfire. He also sells blocks of ice, which I prefer, as opposed to cubes. SO here is our business practice as a customer: on the way into camping, we pick up Fire and Ice (a.k.a. wood and a couple of ice blocks). Every few days, we come back again to replace said items. Brian Perks charges far less then the park does, and his wood is better, too! But the thing to truly die for is the smoked fish. When you are staying in a park called Killbear, with actual bears roaming around, you don't want to be keeping smoked fish in your cooler, car or tent. We pick ours up on the way out. You can choose between Whitefish (drier, whiter, nice for salads), Trout (oily, full-flavoured) and Pickerel (I have not tried it). Both the whitefish and the trout are outstanding! Mr. Perks told me that most of his produce goes to New York City, and much of the rest to Eastern European customers in Ontario. My Mother (Ukrainian and Romanian) adores this fish. Last year I forgot to pick some up, and she's not let me forget it! This year, I stopped by Perks Fish on my way out of the park, and was so happy to see him still in business. If you enjoy smoked fish, or just need fire and ice for camping, check out Perks Fish! A true hole-in-the-wall, hidden gem, etc., it is worth a detour if you are in Parry Sound, and worth stopping by if you are staying at Killbear.
