I was trying to help out my elderly cousin by arranging for them to come get her CR-V which has a dead battery. The battery was replaced by Rusty Wallace less than 2 years ago. They told me they didn't tow in vehicles even though they have done it 2 times before. I would need to arrange to have the car towed in myself. I then offered to remove the battery and bring it in to them but they said it had to be in the vehicle for warranty coverage. No compassion what so ever. DO NOT COME HERE!!! I come here because it's close and convenient but I would rather drive 10 miles anywhere else because this place lacks in service and competent workers. They're shady here. My boyfriend came to do an oil change here and three days later he had a major oil leak. He brought his car back so they can fix what they broke and they didn't want to claim responsibility and added on things that needed to be done to the car and wanted to run a diagnostic before they could tell us what we knew. THEY RUINED IT. My boyfriend's car was old but still reliable. He had to go and buy a new car today because of Honda. Same happened to my mom's car. Apparently they don't keep parts in stock, make you pay up front to order the parts, make you wait a week for the parts, then wait until the tech starts the repair to find out the parts dept. is incompetent and ordered a passenger side part when the order clearly called for a driver side part. So once again, I'm waiting on a part ($1500 total with parts). Prepaid for $699 labor too, and since it's a 2-hour fix, I'm paying $350 an HOUR for incompetence. Take your vehicle to Joe Schmoe downtown. All Rusty Wallis does is screw it up the "Honda-certified" way. Joe downtown may not be "Honda certified" but I bet he'd get the right parts. read more

First time here to take advantage of their brake special. I called to find out when would be a "least busy day" made an appointment for 10 am. Its now 1 and no one has updated me on my vehicle's progress. I asked just now expecting the vehicle to be out any minute and am told they haven't even started on my car. So, three hours of waiting with no one updating me. And not even started the work. I asked my service guy if this is their usual procedure and he said yes. So I would not come here again. My kids are doing online school and they will not have lunch because I never dreamed that with an appointment, Id be stranded here 5 hours to get new brake pads put on. Which is what they're estimating it will take at this point. I tried to get my car back just now to just leave and am told its being attended now. What a crappy experience. read more

This service department has completely destroyed my Pilot and put us in severe danger, twice! The first time they did a brake flush and the next day I drove to Arlington and on the way back to Dallas my brakes failed on the highway. Had my kids with me. Took it back and it turns out they didn't tighten something allowing all the brake fluid to leak out on my way to Arlington. They did replace the front brake pads at no cost because they got wore down from me trying to stop but not a single person apologized or expressed any concern or remorse!! Just a "ok, we'll take care of it" and the brake pads were replaced because we told them it was the least they could do because now they would be completely worn. We've been having the oil changes, tire rotations, al maintenance etc done here for around 10 years. A few months later The car began having a terrible shaking in the steering so we took it in and they suggested a power steering flush and rotated the tires and did an alignment. Paid for all of that and it continued and got worse over the next month. Took it back to have them look at it and they said they couldn't find anything. We had just replaced the tires within a year so they had no other suggestions. We needed up taking it to a private mechanic that was recommended to us. The struts and control arms were all bad! The mechanic brought us back to show us and they were completely pulling apart and he said it was absolutely not safe to be driving and in his opinion with the work that Rusty Wallis "supposedly had performed" they should have seen this problem. That is twice that Rusty Wallis service department has put my children in danger. Now, I'm replacing two tires that are less than two years old because the bad struts and control arms caused them to wear out too soon. Thanks for costing me money!! Never again will I have them touch my car!!! The only reason they have even one star is because it makes you leave at least one. read more

Our family has had a very negative experience with Rusty Wallis and I am writing this review after numerous attempts to get in touch with the Service Center for their assistance. In 2019, our 2016 Honda Pilot's engine went out, and after weeks of frustrating calls and visits, the Rusty Wallis team agreed to replace the engine in exchange for a good will payment. Fast forward to November 2023, we discovered that the engine has cross threaded the bolts in the frame rails due to the job done by the Rusty Wallis team in 2019. We have reached out to Rusty Wallis, leaving voicemails and sending e-mail after e-mail repeatedly since November 2023. It is now January 3, 2024 and we have yet to receive a single e-mail or call back from the Service Manager or anyone at Rusty Wallis. The service center has not picked up a single call, or provided a call back or e-mail response and it has been nearly 2 months. At the bare minimum, we should receive even the most basic customer service but it is clear that they are avoiding this issue. The lack of response and accountability is extremely disappointing and frustrating. read more

Been a customer for years now. I've never seen the same people twice in the service department. Today I went and I see two guys working. I was the only one in the bay. This guy helping a lady with a tire. He acted like I wasn't there. Kept walking right pst my car. Never looked at me to tell me, we will be with you in a second. Nothing. The lady he was helping was already gone and he just went right back inside like I wasn't just sitting there for 20 minutes. Horrible customer service. He was in no rush to help me. When someone finally came to my car he says oh I thought you had been helped already. If I was helped, I wouldn't have been sitting in my car still. Inquired about a vehicle , received call from salesman , asked specifically " do you add dealer markup or anything other than MSRP" was told "no , we don't play those games " showed up at dealership (40 minute drive ) to find an additional $5k in dealer options worth about $1300. On top of that they undervalued my trade ( I used NADA , KBB and a trade in calculator to get approximate values ) by almost $9k !!! I planned on buying a car today and scheduled an appointment for 4:30 as I have a busy schedule and have very little time during regular business hours to do such things. Got a call telling me they can't honor my 4:30 appointment as they wanted to close early today. But I could come in Friday. Called another dealership for the same exact car and he also mentioned he was trying to close east today, I mentioned I planned on buying today and he gave me the correct response, "I will stay open until 9 if you need me to." I get it but I can't imagine any employee or business or person being able to justify losing out on $25k over the difference of an hour or two. If somebody told me I could earn my company $25k by simply staying open normal business hours it'd be a no brainer, stay open; when commission is involved I'd expect these people to at the very least honor the appointments and schedules of their would-be customers. read more

Like other folks stating in prior reviews RWH added $2500 to the original price for "certification by Honda". After I told the salesman that not disclosing the real price at front is a deal breaker he tried to work the numbers to help me on the deal. "Honda adds the certification price not the dealership" is what I was told, never the less you should add that "charge" to the real price you advertised. We talked on the phone and emailed them. When we arrived we were told that we would have to pay an extra $2,500. I should have known to leave when the salesman, Sean Bal walks out with his name tag upside down looking like they woke him up. The car was filthy, had numerous paint chips, and was empty. They wanted $999 to clean the car up an "get it ready", and wanted us to pay for the CPO warranty. I will never be conned by these guys again. They advertise phony prices. Wasted over six hours because of these people. The good news is that we were able to get a Toyota Camry at Toliver CDJR in Mineola. A nicer car for less money, and they are honest! read more

I went there just to look over an Atlas, the kid couldn't find the keys and I kept on telling him I just wanted to look over it and didn't want a test drive because I already had an appointment in Frisco to look over another Atlas. He kept playing dumb and kept asking me for my personal info and if I had a trade in and money to put down. I'm not buying the car and I'm not test driving the car so I'm not giving you any info. Then this young kid came over there like he was his personal bodyguard and asking why I don't want to give them any info. Which I kept telling them I don't need to give you info to just look over a vehicle. Lastly before I left the manager came over and also insisted on my info. I also told him I'm not giving it to you just to look over your vehicle. So I have three guys hovering over me and the manager said I would have to wait because the car is actually a salespersons vehicle and he has to get the keys. What? It's a car that is still driven daily and I just walked out but you could hear the manager make a smart@@@ remark when I was walking out. This was at the end of December. It's now halfway through April and they still haven't installed all the features of the packages even though they charged them for the packages. They are extremely pushy and annoying when it comes to selling you the extended warranties and service packages. They were a little disrespectful when we told them we were not interested in any of their warranties. I have the texts. Dealer confirmed they had it. I even came several hours early prior to the appointment. I had a certified check from my institution for the full price of the car. Supposedly they sold the car 20 minutes prior to my arrival... at 10 am on a Friday. The place was dam near empty.
