They aren't doing anything shady at all, but they did have a whole lot of very worn cars I would be afraid of. The unit I went to look at wasn't ready to show as far as I'm concerned. It had a leaking donut gasket in the exhaust, the cowl vents full of dirt and grass, and the console lid inside the car had been shredded. I didn't even ask them to get it out of the garage where I could drive it. I was looking at a big Buick, but they also had a super-clean Chevrolet Impala with a few more miles on it, but the car was in well-cared-for condition. I asked them to get that one out and we took it for a test drive and found nothing wrong with it but a "service air bag" light on, which we were willing to deal with. The suspension was still tight, the interior in blemish-free condition, a minor blemish on the rear plastic bumper cover, and the engine compartment clean. The motor was absolutely quiet, and running well, and so I left with a slightly younger Chevrolet than the Buick I thought I was interested in. Buyer beware on some of the units on this lot, but they are not misrepresenting them. It's the buyers responsibility to decide if a unit is right for them, and I'd encourage anyone to check carefully. They had some certified junk on the lot, but had some equally clean units in good condition. It all depends on what you want to pay, and how much car you expect to get for your money. Nothing about this transaction appeared to be shady, or in any way intended to misrepresent what they have to sell. They were courteous, kind, and professional in all parts of this transaction. I particularly like that they didn't even offer me an extended warranty, or try to add other charges into the transaction, such as dealer preparation, which I view to be taking advantage of the ignorant. It was cash-and-carry, and if it breaks they buyer gets both pieces. I've had the car in service for a week now, and I have discovered a minor transmission leak. At age 13 with 120,000 miles on it that's a little deal to me, and I'm satisfied with what I paid.

NOPE, it was a motor mount that came off while doing 65 on the freeway, almost killing my mother and older brother. I understand the 'what you see is what you get' policy BUT what about what you Can't See and then they LIE about it?? what about that?? This place needs its business license revoked because they sell vehicles UNSAFE for the road, Endangering People's Lives, and not just the person driving the piece of shit but other people in the other cars damaged by the UNSAFE car you bought from an unscrupulous dealer. I am reporting all of this to the BBB and the Texas attorney general. Your business practices are endangering peoples lives.

Two weeks later -- the check engine light came on again. When I told Carla that I would not continue making payments until the car was properly fixed, she became upset instead of trying to help. I asked if we could work something out to get me into a different vehicle, and I was told, "This would happen to any of the cars on our lot." That response alone says everything. Today I went to the dealership just to retrieve some personal belongings from my car and saw "REPO" written on the side. This was shocking, as I personally drove the car there, it was never repossessed, and I was never notified of anything related to a repo. Don't expect anything VIP either as their whole motto is to sale a vehicle with good customer service and nothing else. Of course, do your prior research and negotiate accordingly. There was a whole bunch of construction when I went last time, so it was a little pain to get in and out. It was almost an hour wait when we were finally called in by the finance department as it appears that only one person was working during that time. Also, they ran out of gas by the time we got the vehicle keys, so I didn't get a full tank. However, when I went back to pickup my license plate they gladly filled it up without any issues.

I dropped my car off to have work done and it sat there for 3 days before they would even look at it. Then the 2day weekend comes in but I call the service department on Saturday morning and left a message for the service rep to call me back as he was"out to lunch" Three hours later I never got a call back. What I did learn was that on Friday they determined what needed to be done but never bothered to call me to advise. Parts were not ordered. I had to tell them to order the parts on Saturday rather than wait until Monday. K waited until Wednesday to call back only to learn they had not touched my car to repair it using the excuse they had to order parts. I learned the parts came in Tuesday, the day before and sat there with nothing being done as of late Wednesday afternoon, the eight day they had the car. The next excuse was that people were ahead on me!!! I already waited 8 days, were there others waiting 9 days??? Needless to say I blew a gasket and let them know I was less than impressed. I spoke with the service manager who said he would look into it. It was 4:30pm. About 10 minutes later he called back saying they would "try" to complete the work as soon as possible. I explained that was not an answer. 30 minutes later I received a call to advise the car was ready to be picked up. There you have it. They held the car for 8 days with no results. They did not return calls until I finally blew my top. Yet when I raised hell they completed the job in 30 minutes I lost several hundred dollars in wages yet never received do much as an apology. What coukd improve? Fire everyone and hire people that know what the word "service" means. Clearly Planet Ford must be from some other planet.
