Turns out the car had a minor fuel gauge problem that had been corrected by the manufacturer. This gave us some hesitation, but we decided to take the chance on an otherwise good car at a good price. 1 year later, we've never had any problems with that car (other than a couple of flat tires and a dead battery). When it was recently time to buy a second car, we returned here as a walk in. We looked at/test drove four cars and walked away with the one we wanted (yes, another manufacturer buyback) a few hours later. Sam was a great salesman- he was efficient (but not pushy), informative, and juggled us with multiple other customers seamlessly. This dealership has been a great experience for us both times. You should be aware that their inventory is mostly manufacturer buybacks (this is how they are able to offer such good deals), and do your own research and ask your own questions about the car(s) you are interested in. Terrible customer service. Maintenance (1 out of 5): I bring the car in on Saturday AM, service for cars is only Monday to Friday. So I end up calling, earliest appointment was 4 days later 8:30am. So I take off work to get the car to Carmax. (Thursday 8:30am)... I call Friday after lunch time, they still HAVE NOT touched the car to see what the issue(s) are with it. I call at 6pm right as they close and they stated the car is in their "off lot" to go to the dealer Monday AM. I assumed the car was at the dealer. I call the following Thursday afternoon (7 days later), Carmax service supervisor (Fradonna) stated the car is at the dealer with no update. So I called the dealer and THEY DID NOT GET THE CAR. I called another close dealer and they did not have the car. I take the next (Friday) morning off work and drive to carmax. MY CAR WAS SITTING IN THEIR LOT FOR 8 DAYS!!!! ... They told me it was at the dealer, and I parked right next to it. I go to the Ford dealer with MY car so I know it's actually at a dealer, and Ford stated that Carmax is not very good with claiming items in their warranty and payment would be an issue. So I went back to Carmax so they can bring it to the dealer (hopefully) and I can still get a loaner vehicle. I go back and speak with the manager (Wesley) who stated he would ensure the car is bright the same day to the dealership. I got the call later that day that it was at the dealer and I called the dealer to confirm, which it was there. The following week, I called Ford for an update (which WHY AM I, THE CUSTOMER DOING THE JOB OF A SERVICE TECH/MANAGER ON A CAR CARMAX IS RESPONSIBLE FOR????).... And they needed a part for the car where total would be $1400 or so. I called the manager and it was only when I told him that I would be out of town, did they put pep in their step because they didn't want the loaner vehicle to be at their airport for 2 weeks (not mentioning the fact my car is still at the dealer...) ... so that got approved and I finally got the car back with no issues. I had the car for 4 days, and it was in the parking lot at Carmax for 8 days (only on Day 8 did it go to the dealer because I drove there and raised the issue).... Absolutely ridiculous service. Lets start with the issues from this date 1st test drive with the car straight off transporter the transmission was shifting very harsh and was Shuddering throughout the whole test drive. I was scared to shit that I was sold a car with a bad transmission. 2nd issue during the drive was car felt very wobbly in the back and as soon as I hit any uneven road car felt like it wanted to loose control. 3rd issue with the car was the radio. The radio plays for 2 to 3 minutes at a time and the whole system reboots or freezes. 4th issue with the car was coolant was empty on both tanks. Oil change was not done and car was at 75% oil life when it reached me. These are the main issues and I will not go into the amount of body and interior damage that was not told to me upfront after asking multiple times to please let me know every and any imperfections so I can know up front and decide if this is the car for me as this is a speciality car and should be in the best condition possible especially at the price I paid. I have spoken with Jb at the dealer immediately following all this but of course it was pushed over to the sales Manager and from the sales manager I was pushed to service manager who never reached out to figure out my issues. My brand new car has been at a certified Cadillac repair shop since the 1st week I received the car and have yet to get it back. Here is what I know so far The dealer did Zero service to the car and was not looked over at all. I looked over the original photos of the car for sale and from the photos of the hood open you can see that there was no coolant in the tanks. The car had old oil and a old oil filter which means a oil change was not done. Everyone knows if these 2 things were not done and looked over what makes you think they did anything else. The vehicle was also put on a lift and to my surprise the Right rear control arm was bent , the 2 rear tires were mount backwards as the outside was blatantly says INSIDE and they mounted it outside. Car was completely out of alignment as well. I have alignment spec sheets to provide for proof. The transmission on this car had a tsb which the dealer advised they knew about it and should be done but as you can see they did not. I had the service done and GUESS what it is better but did not fix the problem 100% and now I have to put a torque converter on a car I have yet to put 200 miles. The radio needed a brand new radio module called a HMI that needed to be programmed to the car. Long story short this dealer got me pretty good and held the lube while they were at it. I have not heard from them in a few weeks and not one person has reached out to see how is it going and if I got my car back. Any honest and respectful dealer would have made right by this already and checked in with me. My hopes is that this dealer makes right by me and if that is the case I will be more then happy to adjust my review. If not I will be unfortunately taking legal action. I have provided to the dealer proof of all and if anybody else needs proof please just reach out to me and I will provide. I have 100% proof of everything stated here

I was there through all of it, and watching how Kevin Ford Automotive treated him was infuriating. He bought two vehicles here--a 2011 GMC Yukon XL Denali and later a 2017 Ford Expedition. Both were sold "as-is," but both broke down almost immediately. The Yukon went back for repairs five times in just 2,500 miles with no resolution, and the Expedition's check engine light came on within 24 hours showing a catalytic converter failure. This dealership has shown zero honesty, zero accountability, and no care for customers. Texas law is clear that "as-is" doesn't excuse hiding known defects, but based on what we experienced, they simply don't care. I fully stand by his 0-star rating. If you value your time and money, stay far away from Kevin Ford Automotive.
