Rusty Taco is a great place to go if you want a very quick flavorful bite. Service was very quick and my food was ready within 5-10 minutes. I ordered the cola braised brisket tacos. I added one of each of the salsas to them. They had a slightly smokey flavor reminiscent of liquid smoke, but I could not tell that they were cola braised at all. It's a quiet little place and we enjoyed it. Overall it was decent, but nothing out of this world. I was craving a taco while running errands and ended up here with my family. I have never been to a Rusty Taco so I had no idea what to expect. Long story short I was underwhelmed. Everything just fell short: Queso: runny and watery Brisket taco: dry, crunchy and flavor less, Philly steak taco: the shining star of my order. The steak was juicy and seasoned well. A little tough to chew though. Spicy shrimp taco: no spice and heavy on the salt, very dry. Habanero sauce: mild at best The prices seem a little high for what you get. They do have a bar that serves margaritas and a daily 3p-7p happy hour daily. We were there during that time and saw no signage calling out what was on the happy hour menu nor did the employees mention this. That photo was also uploaded 5 months BEFORE the COVID-19 pandemic and guess what... Rusty Taco STILL sucks. How in the world after 3 years and a global pandemic is this little shit hole still in business??????? Our first experience was so God awful we waited until March of 2022 to try again. Guess what? THEY STILL SERVE ICE COLD disgusting ass tacos. It's almost comical how bad these are. They are STONE COLD EVERY TIME. I even asked local patrons if their food was even WARM let alone hot. Went to this Midlothian location of this chain restaurant. I had never been there. Was interested in trying after a day of hiking. The first experience of the visit was to see how dirty the restroom was. Decided to put that out of my mind. Placed an order of chicken fajita bowel. I did not want the rice or beans and there fore ordered the salad as a base. The chicken may have been 2 oz of chopped up something that was some kind of meat, but did not taste like any grilled chicken I have ever had. When I asked "are sure this is chicken?" The cook said they had gotten a "new chicken supplier". He assured me the "meat" was chicken. I could not eat the meat and pulled all the meat off the salad. Came for lunch on a Tuesday. They were surprisingly busy for a weekday, but got orders out quickly. You order individual street tacos. They have a plethora of flavor profiles and various proteins. I got a rusty taco, grilled shrimp, and a philly. They were all flavorful and fresh. They have a taco for everyone! I had something similar in Venice Beach on the boardwalk. We ordered grilled shrimp, fried fish and beef tacos. The flavor was delicioso! Rusty Taco is located in the back area of West Chester Commons. Currently off the beaten track but in the next few months a large apartment complex housing 200+ apartments will be opening about 30" away. This is going to transform the area and put Rusty Taco's margarita bar and outdoor patio to good use. The atmosphere inside was fantastic. I can totally see the being my go to spot for sipping margaritas during the summer months. There was plenty of outdoor parking. We ordered at the counter and the cashier was informative. The only part that was disappointing was the size of my $3 taco. It was kinda small and empty looking. I've been here a few times, mostly I ate there but recently I ordered on line and picked up. It is always good. The staff is friendly and the food is consistent. I loved the nachos as they were the right amount of chips and topping which is rare. My go to is the fish taco which is always fresh and delicious. I've been to Rusty Taco a variety of times. Is it amazing? No... but it's pretty good. They are constantly adding to the menu which I like. They now have nachos which are pretty tasty. All of the tacos are pretty good. It does seem a little high at price per taco and they would benefit from a little discount if you buy more than one. I also really enjoy their prickly pear margarita. A group of us went on national margarita day and for $2.22 margaritas, you really can't beat it. read more

The taco that had potatoes was undercooked while the meat was over cooked which was luckily made up for with their delicious salsas. They have three salsas a red that is reminiscent of your local Mexican joint, a tomatillo that was fresh, and a flavorful yet spicy habanero. We came here by chance, feeling adventurous to try a place we had not been before. We thought the food was very good. The ladies at the counter this evening were cheerful and enthusiastic. Clearly they enjoy their jobs. Great hiring decision on them. They made menu recommendations and explained things clearly. I had the grilled shrimp taco. It was excellent. I picked the specialty fried fish- cod- taco with avocado. The fish was lightly battered and seasoned and cooked perfectly. Both were served nicely hot. The Col had the Texicana #13 and enjoyed it. He also had the fried chicken one too and liked it. Next time- and we will be back we are going to get the salad version of the tacos. Plus they have shaved ice on the drink machine. Big plus.
