Unacceptable Service. On my way to work, decided to make a *what I thought would be* quick stop to pick up a few breakfast tacos. After 20 minutes of waiting for my 3 breakfast tacos, was finally told that the restaurant was filling a large order and we (several angry customers) had to wait. That does not even makes sense since people who came in after me got their orders while I still waited. Never got to try the tacos- left after 25 minutes and a refund of my money. Was late to work as a result. Will never go back to any Rusty Taco location. read more

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times. Each time I've been greeted by Enrique. He's very friendly and quick. There is always a line. He's moves the customers though the line very quickly while providing excellent service. After my third visit, he remembered my name. This was very surprising in today's fast food restaurants. The tacos are always great. I especially enjoy the picadillo tacos and the fried chicken tacos. The overall atmosphere is very relaxed. It's an awesome place to eat. I really enjoy it!!!!! Do not go on a holiday (Cinco de Mayo) they can not handle the high quantity of customers. And they do not communicate with the customers about the long wait. Over an hour is too long to wait for tacos for 4 people, just crazy. Or at least tell us it's going to be an hour wait! read more

The tacos are Rusty's are a bit smaller than those of other taco places. I have to get 2 here to fill me up. There aren't any special or exciting choices either, they pretty much are normal type tacos. I like the chips and queso though, but I like queso anywhere. read more

My default are the grilled fish tacos. They're high quality and super cheap. I had a few hiccups regarding this location when I would order the first few times. They don't have an online ordering system (which I'm sure we could all agree would be amazing) so I have to call in my orders. One day I had a woman rudely exclaim "I have a line out the door I'm going to have to put you on hold." and after waiting a few minutes I was hung up on. Today I called in and was immediately greeted in a friendly and courteous manner. Ordering was a breeze. Fast and efficient. Keep up the good work. The Good: Salsas are served out of squirt bottles at the table and all have fantastic taste. 3-7 happy hour means 1/2 priced sides and beer - so that's a 16 oz Lone Star with chips and salsa for $2.50, and that's good. The Bad: Other diners were complaining about missing ingredients from their meals - mine was correct, so can't complain too loud. Hand napkins on the dining floor consist of rolls of brown bathroom towels. The Measley: Fish taco was a little light on the rockfish, but had a good taste. In fact all the tacos were a little understuffed. For reference, Fuzzy's tacos have about twice as much fillings for about the same price, not that I'm crazy about Fuzzy's either. read more

I work nights, usually when I get off work at 7am (especially on weekends)...my choices for breakfast can be limited. I didn't realize Rusty Taco opens at 6am! I'll be adding this place to my rotation. I tried the jalapeño sausage, beef fajita, and brisket tacos...it was a rough night at work, ok?! The jalapeño sausage breakfast taco was amazing! This place was super cool. The quirky name caught our attention. They have some cool takes on tacos. The brisket taco is a MUST. the churro was amazing! The cashier was a little tough today understand since she talked kind of fast & quiet. We got there just before 12 for lunch & noticed how packed it got quickly. We come here almost every weekend. Place is clean, food is delicious! The fish tacos are really tasty and the breakfast tacos are served all day. We've been to other locations and they are awful! This location has better drink selections and food is always good! Even when it's packed wait time is under 10 minutes. read more

My experience here was under par. Initial service was excellent taking my order, drinks, etc. I received the chips and dip quickly, but was given casso instead of guacamole. they went ahead and hooked it up on both. My friend and I ordered #13, #11, #9, and, #4. I wouldn't recommend any of them after realizing they are made with cheap store bought tortillas. when you order "BBQ" anything.. all they do is pour cheap store bought bbq sauce over it. No baby changing table. There's not even a counter in the bathroom although there is plenty of space to put one. When I asked if they had a place for me to change my baby's diaper they said "we don't accommodate babies here." I then looked around and 3 other tables had babies. I suggest you get rid of the kids menu and high chairs if you don't have a place for them to use the bathroom. read more

Omg. You must try the fried chicken taco, but make sure you squeeze the lime on it. It gives it that extra "yum punch". The rusty taco is great also. I will be returning. I like this location! The queso is nice and spicy! Also you have to try a brisket taco! The frozen strawberry margarita is the bomb! If you want a great place to go to kick back with friends come here. Also if it's a great day they open up the garage door which is awesome! read more

Queso was ok, tacos were average. HOWEVER- I found a HAIR in my taco. I obviously immediately spit out my food and couldn't stomach eating anything else. Manager didn't bother to come over to apologize. Not coming back here again! Torchy's is a much better option than this place. Oh- I didn't see anyone with a hairnet, the one making the food was wearing a hat so apparently that's code. Placed a pick up order for 2 sides of beans with extra lime and was told that it would be ready in 10 mins, I was there in 5. Picked up the food and drove one block before noticing that the limes were All at least 50% brown. I instantly turned around and asked the attendant for fresh limes. She came back with limes from the same batch implying that they were cut this morning and there's nothing we can do. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 14 years and no, they were days old. Finally after basically forcing them to cut fresh limes I drove 1 block again to find out that the beans were ice cold. Not like cold on the top or edges but in the very center of the cup, ice cold. The total time I spent dealing with this establishment couldn't have been more that 10 mins. You had one job, fresh ingredients and food. Who messes up beans? I ended up counting my losses of $5 and threw the bag in the trash. So glad I didn't try anything else. Ps. They don't have Juarritos like the website advertises but instead they have good old Fanta! read more

Love love love rustys! Their happy hour is the best in town and their margaritas actually taste quality, and did I mention cheap!! Rusty Taco isn't my favorite. In comparison to other competing restaurants, I just don't think Rusty is as good. Often everybody has different favorites of the taco restaurants, but for me, Rusty just doesn't do it for me. If you are hungry, Rusty will definitely do the trick, but I would go other places before I went to Rusty again. read more

We moved, so this Rusty Taco has replaced the original as our go-to spot for a quick meal. Which is great, because turns out I like this one better. Service is faster, ingredients are fresher, and happy hour specials are more plentiful (or maybe just better advertised? I didn't even know Rusty Taco had happy hour specials). I wish there was a little more seating, though: finding a table has yet to be an issue, it just feels a little more cramped. Haven't tried out the drinks yet. read more

These are not good tacos. I was hoping Rustys would be good as it's a cool spot. We tried the brisket, pork and shrimp. All were awful. The brisket and pork mets were both really soggy. You can tell they they boil the meat and have it sitting in water as you wait. The toppings (pickled onions, queso fresco, etc,) weren't fresh or flavorful. The tortillas are plain and we're actually cold which is really off putting. The only not awful part were the chips and dip trio. Nothing great, but not near as bad as the tacos. Overall, there was absolutely nothing here that made me want to even consider returning. Especially since Torchy's is less than a mile away and is 100 times better. read more

But the main reason I won't be coming back is Rebecca, the girl who took my order. Never once greeted me, couldn't force herself to smile, just not nice. Great bang for your buck. Don't go here expecting tacos like Velvet Taco or Torchy's, but do expect to pay half as much. Rustie's is an amazing value for the quality of tacos that you receive. I received three good quality tacos for roughly 7 dollars. The only thing I thought that they were missing was better soft drinks selection. Most of the other gourmet taco restaurants in town will offer you real cane sugar sodas. Rustys seems to be exclusively a Coca-Cola restaurant. They do however offer a great (Texas craft) beer selection. read more
