We went on a Wednesday evening. Service was a bit slow at the bar, but when it happened, it was friendly. The food was at most a 1.5. Our prime rib was flavorless, cool (not cold), and a bit chewy. It seems to be a locals' spot. Not being a local may have made us less important. IDK. We won't go back. We wanted to eat out, and this seemed a better option than Applebee's. read more

We stop here almost every time we are in the area around Lake Sebago. It's a big place with lots of tables, a big bar and a good size parking lot. AST this point, we've ordered a bunch of different things and they've all been good - burgers, haddock, and more. Plenty of good drink options too. Service has been good every time too! read more

Friendly servers and always checked on us for drink refills etc, they were right on it. The steak tip salad I had was excellent, the steak was perfect as far as I'm concerned. We had not been to Rustler's since they moved. While I like the space it is definitely smaller, which made for a wait to be seated on a busy night and then wait a long time for our meal. There is a huge bar and they seat right around that which is not my preference to be right up against strangers, but was the only option to get a space. There might be more seating for families upstairs but a table was not apparently an option for a party of 2. The food was excellent. I had the baked stuffed scallops, which I would recommend. A good amount of fresh large scallops with a healthy helping of delicious seafood stuffing and newburg sauce. The stuffing had small, but still discernible pieces of real lobster meat. I could not finish everything - and I really gave it a try! My husband had a burger with cheese and bacon. This was juicy and delicious. He had onion rings that were light and crispy. Great meal that would warrant 5 stars but for the wait issue and lack of table seating. read more

Busy Friday night before Christmas , was hoping to miss the supper rush but hit the noisy bar rush instead . Had to wait for a table because no one was around to clean the tables people had left from . Had the same waitress from the last visit . Was not any better . Long wait for food , excessive then it was cold . The stuffed baked scallops were not great and even worse cold ,high light again was the bacon wrapped scallops and crab Rangoons . Please add your non alcoholic beverages to a menu . And non carbonated as well . The worst thing was the employee coughing all over the place . We got to the restaurant a short time prior to closing - not our preference but nothing else was open, and/or they were hosting holiday parties. Even so, everyone was still polite and helpful. Our food was cooked well, and came out quickly. Opted for the prime rib and scallops. By the time we finished, we were the last two in the restaurant besides staff. Again, they didn't rush us but I also didn't want them to have to stay just because of us so we didn't stay too long. The restaurant was comfortable enough but not "cozy". This was our first time being here. The parking lot was full and I can why . Our food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar when we saw two empty seats as it was very busy . Maddie was a wonderful server but our entrees were soo disappointing. The house salads had wilted lettuce. The scallop and haddock bakes were burnt on the bottom. My husband's first chicken was undercooked. It just felt like the kitchen didn't care. The sides were delicious with the exception of the baked potato. I had read that on a review and have to concur. The Cole slaw was delightful as well as the house vegetables. For the price we would never go again and would say try other places for dinner. read more

We wanted to try lunch today and decided to go even though the ratings weren't that high. The atmosphere and the wait staff was great. The food though was not. We got the combo appetizer platter. It was really over cooked. The chicken fingers were really tough. I had a burger and asked for medium. It was very well done to the point of it being hard to eat. Yes, it's a bit small inside , but the food was good, the service was good, and prices are reasonable. Also, they do have outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside and were able to get a booth, although most of the tables are close to the bar. We ordered the beef tips and the walnut cranberry salad, which was served with warm balsamic on the side. Very good, and I would recommend a visit. read more

My party of three was told we would have a 25 minute wait and were put on the waiting list. We waited for 45 minutes, during the course of which, multiple similar sized groups that came in after us skipped us on the list. We've been here twice since last review- Had grilled prime rib, and delmonico- both medium rare, both just superb- service was quick, efficient, attentive, but we went for lunch, not dinner. Not a fan! Perhaps not a "regular" and well noted after being ignored not given a menu nor water nor even asked how my food was. And handed a meal with none of the items the menu said it came with. 3 of us walked in for dinner, hostess was very nice, seated us right away. I put my arm on the table and noticed it was very sticky. When the waitress came over, I asked her if she could wipe the table, it was very sticky. She took our order and disappeared. The food runner came out with the appetizer and i notice she had a dish towel in her belt. I asked her if she could wipe the table and she said let me grab the spray bottle i will be right back. She was back in a flash!! About 10 minutes later the same food runner brought out our dinners. This is when everything went south, The food was over cooked, the baked potatoes were as hard as a rock. Finally the waitress came over and said how is everything, 3 of us wanted to scream at her all at once. She said the potatoes are not baked they are seamed. She said if she new that she would have told us not to get them GREAT!! The salads came out after the meal was served. I always thought the salads came out before the meal. First time at Rustler's since they mover locations. I had dinner at the old place once and it was so bad I never returned. My wife and I decided to try the new location and were pleasant surprised. Waitress was very good. The short rib raviolis appetizers were excellent. My wife had baked stuffed scallops. I had scallops with lemon favored bread crumbs. Both meals were very good. Arrived hot and the waitress waited for us to finish our appetizers before she brought the main meal. Our only disappointment was being seated next to a table of screaming kids. The appetizer was just your traditional fried foods and tasted alright. The ribs fell right off the bone and were cooked well. Very delicious. Seasonal veggies had a good seasoning mixture. Rustlers has moved to where Gilbert's Chowder house used to be. We had lunch here memorial weekend. It wasn't busy and sitting outside wasn't set up yet. Rustlers has done a lot of work inside. Very nice. The staff were nice and the service was very good. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was hot and delicious. My two friends order fish and chips. They said it was very good. But it was chunks of fish on a bed of lettuce, the meal came with fries and cole slaw. Being Mainers we have never had haddock served that way. This place was amazing! Even during the height of all the Covid stuff going on, their service was amazing. Their food was too notch. We split nachos and balsamic walnut salad for apps, and the salad was to die for. So delicious, we didn't take long to clear that plate. Is it a coincidence that almost all of the reviews are from out of state visitors? Interesting, isn't it? At any rate - It's standard, if not above standard grub. You're going in basically for good bar food. I tend to think their steaks are on the average side, and are pricey. The rest though? Goooood stuff. I've been probably 25 times. The nachos are a mountain of gooey delicious, the wings are always good, with lots of different choices for sauces, their burgers are big, juicy, sexy masses of beef, and there are some unique choices for burgers. Sitting on the bar side is the way to go. It's cozy, high top seating, right next to the bar. The dining room is a bit antiquated, I guess, it just feels different.
