Our server Ainsley was a sweetheart. The restaurant was very under staffed. The dining room was so cold we ate with our coats on, it wasn't cold today. Our food came , more bread crumbs than fish on the baked haddock. My gf subbed a salad for sides .she was told it was a 3$ up charge , to be expected but when the bill came it was 10$ for subbing a side salad for 2 sides. She explained that's how she had to ring it in. Over all experience wasn't good. I'm not sure if we'll be back. read more

Very casual and friendly spot! They have 20+ beers on draft, and they make great Bloody Marys. The food was kinda meh, but it's to be expected. The service was absolutely amazing, our two bartenders were the sweetest and silliest ladies I've met in a while. This is a cool, really old school old building, but it's clean and way bigger than it looks from the outside. The decor in here is worth a stop in itself. Love it. Out for a drive through n a Sunday and came across the tavern when looking for a place for lunch. The decode is mill and antique. Bar area was only area open and there were plenty of tables to choose from. I had the bacon blue cheese burger and my husband had the triple burger. Both were wonderful! Cooked to perfect temperature and a good balance of bacon and blue cheese. Triple burger was tiered like a club sandwich with a burger and three different cheeses. Fries were crispy and hot. We sat at the bar and our waitress's name was Elizabeth. She was great, cheerful, quick and busting her butt as the only waitress on . There was also another bartender on . For a busy Saturday lunch crew they were hustling. Seafood stew came right out (GF) . The rest took a bit longer . Chicken salad wrap with French fries, and a salad. Friendly and quick service. I had the Rueben with coleslaw. The sandwich was good but I've had better and bigger for the same price. The coleslaw was tasty. My husband had the fried haddock sandwich with French fries which he enjoyed. The fish tasted fresh. Prices were reasonable. They offer fresh popped popcorn in the bar which was fun to eat while we had drinks and waited for dinner. Plenty of seating. Atmosphere is very casual. Stopped here for dinner while in the area. Friendly atmosphere with a relatively large menu - plenty for everyone in your group! Decor resembles an old work house, or a mill, with vintage photos throughout. We started with two draft beers - Bangor Brown -- and they were cold and delicious. Fried pickles came out next, serving searing hot. Tasty and well made. Mains included fried clam platter, philly cheese steak, and salad with steak on top. French onion soup was also a hit, served piping hot. It was obvious that the kitchen cared about putting out a quality product, and we enjoyed all of the food we ordered. We stopped here just a few days ago on our way through town. It was later in the evening and we didn't have much for options, the three stars really threw us off but because we didn't have much choice we decided this was our spot. It was very quiet since it was a Monday night but we were greeted very kindly by the staff and our waitress was a gem! There was only two other families in the building and the tables were spaced Nicely for Covid measures. The three stars does not do this place justice!! The French onion soup was awesome, we got the bleu cheese and bacon burger Cooked medium rare and it was perfect, and their onion rings are crispy and cooked well. Their prices are great and even the kids meal portions were a good size. We would definitely venture back even though I can say we don't often drive through Harrison. We might have to make a detour soon just so we can hit up this place again. Ps. They do have some excellent beers on tap and their prices are good on those as well. read more

What a horrible experience. We walked in, waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to say hello. A waitress walked by and threw down her menus and said she would quit if they gave her one more table. Finally a hostess came up and told us there aren't any available tables, and the wait would be over an hour. Strange because it didn't look overly busy. We then said that's ok, we'll just order to-go. She said no the kitche would kill her if we have them one more order. Get it together!! If you don't have enough help to open the doors, stop buring out your staff. You'll quickly have no employees or customers. So sad! read more

This was the hubs and my first time eating out since covid struck. It was a great change to sit in a nice clean cool restaurant. The food was good, hot and crispy where it should be. I got fried clams with sweet potato fries, and coleslaw. The clams were crispy, tender and seasoned just right. There were not many of them for a $26 dollar meal, but they were some of the best I have had. I usually end up taking half of the meal home anyway, and never eat leftover seafood so that was fine with me. The sweet potato fries were soooo very good, and plentiful, my hubby will get those leftovers. The slaw was average, but tasty. My hubby got the Ruben with onion rings and as he put it " these are cooked the way onion rings should be cooked. " He also said the Rubin was " very good". High praise from him. All in all it was a good meal. The service was awesome and the restaurant very clean. Everyone was more than adequately distanced and all the staff were wearing masks. As far as the amount of food, I would rather have a meal for one on my plate, that is good quality and delicious, than a meal for three that is not. read more

To tell you the truth the last time I ate here was the Summer of 2013 and I hated it. So I eagerly prepared for this trip so I wouldn't have to go here again. My in laws like it and probably one of it's best features is it's location in Downtown Harrison. Therefore our last night together and they wanted to eat here. Once we arrived after 6PM we luckily found a parking space in the private lot adjacent to it. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated in the main dining room. The first table they sat us at was too wobbly a table so we were moved to the one next to it quickly. Our waiter immediately took our drink orders and checked on the status of one drink if it was stocked. No Non-alcoholic beer other than O'douls for my father in law which he doesn't drink. My mother in law and myself both had wine by the glass and my husband a cocktail from the bar. They brought a basket of hot rolls and they were delicious with butter. For my main course I had sea scallops served with red mashed potatoes and carrots and green beans. All was freshly made on premises. My husband had the steak tips, my father in law the mussels that were an appetizer that he had as a meal and it was an enormous portion. Both men also had Cesar Salads that were a size of a meal that if they had known they would have shared. My mother in law had the chowder by the cup and loved all the seafood in it. Unfortunately she found the crab cake appetizer to be lacking Crab. For dessert there is no menu and the server says most people don't order. To me it probably would help if they were on a menu and something homemade like the rest of the food. The items he said that they had were all premade and not exciting or tempting at all. I opted to go to the Long Lake Creamery for ice cream instead. read more

I can't speak for the quality of food at this restaurant but I can speak for the customer service and respect they offer customers/ clients. I had booked a small after party gathering a few months ago, communicated and arranged payment. My wedding is a week away and they canceled exactly a week before my wedding stating "we were a liability would probably be over served. Our reputation would be lost due to unit party". My fiancée naturally was emotional on the phone and they offered no explanation or apology for canceling such a crucial event this close to our wedding. In summary I can not stress how unprofessional and untrustworthy this establishment is and wish there was a lower score that I could give. read more

BUT the staff doesn't follow their own posted ( all over the place) rules for covid ...(state mandated) I wound up surrounded by some elitist fools who thought they didn't need to follow mask & distnce guidelines...even a uniformed firefighter guy wearing a fancy Marine style uniform...wow. After not going to the OMT for two years because of a bad experience my wife and family recently tried it and were pleasantly surprised. The food particularly the onion soup was delicious. This weekend we returned with another couple and after my saying how great the onion soup was all four of us ordered it. What we got was tomato soup with onions. I asked our waiter who just happened to be the same one from two years ago, had they changed cooks or the recipe. His answer was it's always been tomato based. This is the same BS type answer I got two years previous when he told me they used cooking wine with no alcohol and not real wine in a white wine sauce. I give it one star for the cheeseburgers but this time after 20 years of occasionally going there I think I'll write it off permanently. read more

I came here with some family and friends (12 of us) in July 2022 and boy this place was a nightmare. It all started when we walked through the front doors. Simply getting seated was chaotic and confusing. The waitress messed up multiple orders, was extremely slow and disappeared for long periods of time throughout the whole experience. They even managed to mess up our drinks which took 30 minutes for them to bring out in the first place (we ordered 8 waters, 2 sprites, 4 root beers). Finally after 45 minutes total we had our drinks. We ordered 2 appetizers which took another 40 minutes. At that point everyone was getting annoyed but we still mistakenly decided to order. It took a 1 hour and 45 minutes for us to get our food. 6 out of 12 those orders were messed up (didn't even give us what we ordered) and were simply not good. Two people ordered chicken which came out raw. Shortly after telling the waitress we got up and left without finishing our food because one of our family members got sick. We didn't leave a tip. It was an absolutely dreadful experience and would not recommend 0/10. read more

This was the worst experience we have ever received at a restaurant. We are very flexible and understanding with the staff shortage right now and even with that we walked out after being seated. The restaurant had many empty tables and we stood for 20 minutes at the entry and no one took our name. We were told numerous times someone would be with us. Numerous customers came and went during our wait. The hostess kept rolling silverware at the stand but ignored us. One other couple spoke to her about a wait time and she ignored them and threw her head down on the desk in frustration. Those potential customers immediately left. We waited. And waited. Eventually someone asked the young hostess to seat us and she threw our silverware on table with such aggression it made us feel very uncomfortable. We sat and looked around and noticed all the tables with people had no drinks or food. They were all looking around and waiting. We knew then to end this nightmare of an experience. Good luck old mill tavern. This kind of service is not going to bring locals back. Bummer. read more

Food was gross. Server was more interested in other tables not even his. Waited 15 mins before he took our drink order. Asked for Cobb salad with no blue cheese, got decrepit overcooked dry chicken and blue freakin' cheese EVERYWHERE! Turkey club was dry, no mayo, did I mention dry and bread was soggy. Left hungry because I hate blue cheese and saw kitchen staff on porch smoking and drinking just hanging out. Just gross. Been going here 14 yrs. After a long day of skiing, we arrived later in the evening. This was our first time at OMT. The place was very big inside with plenty of space so the whole family felt Covid safe. We were greeted by our waiter, Bob. Although our food was great with good size portions, cooked to perfection, with great flavor...it was our Waiter Bob that made this meal a five star. He bonded with all of us immediately and after he left the table the first time, my daughter exclaimed "Best waiter ever!" She was right. Bob was patient with my indecisive kids and threw in enough humor to make us all laugh (even though we were dead tired from the long day). He also spent time giving us a history lesson on the building and the items inside. If I owned a restaurant or business, Bob is the perfect example of what I would look for in the ideal brand ambassador. We will definitely be back. Thanks Bob and team! read more
