What a delicious place for lunch in Bridgton, ME! This was a great stop to find awesome Filipino cuisine after a visit to Sebago Lake SP before a long drive to the White Mountains of NH. They have outdoor tables if you're traveling with a dog - the place is right across from Reny's Department Store and is easy to spot with its bright yellow color. Service was friendly and they kindly provided a water bowl for our miniature poodle (even though we did not ask for it). We devoured the chicken lumpia (spring rolls), the pancit bihon (Filipino noodles), and the Filipino curry dish (which was delicious). The yakitori skewers were also tasty for lunch. Such a cute place. We went really early around 4:30 pm a Friday evening. Empty but the take out orders were coming through. The person working the counter and phones was amazing. They were just so kind and easygoing. Great customer service and I loved her red pants. I would almost go back just based on the service. The food was good. Not amazing, but great for a winter evening. The lumpia was fresh and tasty. The rice was huge! Portions were big. The food was good. All of it seemed fresh and I can appreciate that! We had a very nice lunch at Nilfa's, and we appreciated the opportunity to try some Philipino food. We tried almost all of their appetizers for lunch. Our favorites were the dumplings and the shrimp rolls. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the apps so much we decided to do takeout for dinner and tried their curry, which was delicious. Have been wanting to try Nilfa's for a while now, I have been following them on social media and their specials were just so appealing and how I gained insight into their Filipino Offerings! Be sure to give them a follow on Facebook. We had the following: Lumpia - a regular menu item. They were delicious!!! Pork dumplings - a regular menu item. They were good, the wrappers were thicker than we were used to. I loved the flavor. Chicken Adobo - delicious, a little different than we make it, but it was delicious Chicken Sisig - Amazing that it is served in the traditional cast iron - sizzling. The egg and the mayo drizzle. I loved it!!! We couldn't resist the dessert case and bought two items to go. We were too full to eat them right away. We bought: Carrot Cake - Dense and delicious! Tres Leches - Moist and delicious! Menu options - a lot of variety, from breakfast, to american foods, like grilled cheese, cheeseburgers, Thai Food, eggplant parm, spaghetti and meatballs, and salads. I feel like there is something for everyone. There were a few tables, most seats are booths. Beverages - most are bottles and cans that you can see in the cooler to the left of the register, coffee, tea etc. I believe they have drink specials as well. Staff was so kind and attentive. This place was recommended by work people and I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical once I arrived simply because they had a huge menu. They had American flair, Asian flair, breakfast and bakery items, on and on. How could everything possibly be good? I chose a shrimp curry and it was amazing! My vegetarian friend ordered a curry as well and was very pleased. She also ordered a cheesecake (I refrained) and said it was also very good. We were in Bridgton being tourists and realized we were hungry. This spot happened to be right across the street at exactly the right time! There were 8 of us in a pretty busy restaurant and not only was our food delicious, the service was also good. I absolutely love this place! We shouldn't have waited this long to try this restaurant it's now a favorite! The service is wonderful the food is amazing and they are over the top with accommodating people with dietary preferences! It has a relaxed atmosphere, daily specials, a large menu, so many desserts, is a clean place, is in a great location and the service and food is provided by great people! My boyfriend likes the classic American foods, and is obsessed with the steak and cheese, I like the asian style the best, they even made mine vegan which a lot of places are not able to or don't want to. It's incredibly kind and I'm grateful for how welcoming the whole staff is! Also the portions are huge 2-4 servings depending on how much you like to eat ;) will add more pictures soon! The food is good. They really need to work on their coffee though. It seemed like it had stewed for several hours. Still better than watery diner coffee. Had the corned beef with rice and my husband had the biscuits and gravy (breakfast served till 11). The biscuits were homemade and really good. He thought the gravy was from a package or frozen purchased (he's a cook) but I tasted it and I could taste the sage. It's a mild taste but I thought it was good. He felt there should be a little more sausage in there.We had the eggrolls, called Lumpia, the Filipino iteration. We got the chicken but I was expecting chicken mixed with vegetables and it was pretty much all chicken but a fantastic job cooking it with tasty perfect little rolls and they served a full plate of the rolls not just three. It would've been a complete lunch. But next time I'm getting the vegetable because if I have to choose one or the other I'd rather have vegetables. Ideally I'd like both in one roll. The other thing is I thought it would be kind of cool if they offered a plate of mixed variety. Since there were nine little rolls on the plate it would be cool if three were shrimp three were chicken and three more vegetable. The other thing I wanted to say is the service is a little slow but very friendly. There aren't that many Asian choices around here and we will definitely be back. read more

High quality food! There was only one extremely busy server on a Tuesday mid afternoon and I didn't mind waiting for service because she was definitely doing her best to keep up. Good help is hard to find. The menu looked a bit bland. Since I searched my phone for a Thai restaurant while I was in Bridgton, I showed up hoping for something like "Spicy Basil Fried Rice," but the server assured me their rice options weren't spicy. She directed me toward the menu tems that leaned spicier, and said I could also order pretty much anything with a spice level, so I landed on green curry tofu. That's something that NEVER disappoints me. I ordered it with a medium to hot level of spice and I deducted a star from my review because there was zero spice. NONE. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Pure green curry paste is spicy inherently, so they could have just added extra, but what I ended up with was good, but had no spice whatsoever. I just wanted some spice today! They use FRESH Thai basil, and there wasn't a hint of cilantro anywhere. However they don't disperse the basil throughout the dish. There are sprigs of basil with stems a bunch of leaves...a clump of cooked basil? I assume they serve it that way in case people want to avoid it? But who goes to a Thai restaurant and doesn't LOVE Thai basil? I had to cut the basil up to I could get it on more fork fulls. I also ordered a banana boba tea after the server assured me that it was her favorite and it didn't disappoint, either. Awesome restaurant. I will definitely go again! I highly recommend it and hope they get more comfortable with spice for people like me. read more

We tried Nilfa's for the first time tonight and I'm so pleased we did. The menu is huge and varied - lots of different choices from Asian cuisine to Italian and American fare. I got the chicken pad thai, which was excellent. A little spicy yet super tasty. It came with a side of white rice, salad and lumpia. My husband got chicken wings and fries, both of which were excellent. The service was top notch. The folks working front of house were kind, accommodating and answered all our questions. It's so nice to have a new place in town and Nilfa's cooking is fantastic! We're really excited to try breakfast! read more

We came in planning breakfast but got Asian food and a whoopee pie instead! The fried rice was a huge bowlful with lots of different veggies and meats. The potstickers were very good and I appreciated the side of fresh lettuce and carrot. The shrimp rolls were delicious with a delicate fried wrapper and spicy sweet sauce. The Thai iced tea with concentrated milk was orange and delicious. This was the best-quality, best-cooked asian food I've had in a while. True cuisine. Not bad, but not really great either. The service was amazing, I can absolutely give them that much, the restaurant was clean as well. The food was just kind of boring. Had the BBQ pork skewers, the sauce was really thin and sweet, more sticky than anything but the pork was super tender and good. Also ordered the kids chicken nuggets and fries, the nuggets were really bland, but cooked well, the fries were good. Had the Ruben sandwich and the pot stickers which were all okay. Also kind of pricey for the quantity/quality being given. Overall it wasn't a bad visit, just not as good as I'd hoped for. I ordered four dishes for take out and they were all very good: Pineapple fried rice with pork, Pad Thai noodles with shrimp, Filipino Style chicken curry and vegetable Lo Mein. This is a new restaurant replacing Ruby's which had been in Bridgton a long time. This was a definite upgrade in quality. The dishes were quite large, leaving quite a bit for left-overs after 5 people indulged. It is good to have a good Asian restaurant in Bridgton. The Pak Thai was supreme. read more
