The family and I went to Ricker Hill Farms to pick apples. It was definitely past lunch time so we were starving. I spotted a couple of food trucks close to the parking lot and one of them was Kabayan.
I've been hoping to try Kabayan for some time and even follow them on facebook. As a Filipino, it is nice to know there is a food truck in Maine where there's not really much places that offer Filipino food. I almost went with chicken teriyaki skewers but I went with a classic pairing of pancit (Filipino style stir fry noodles) and a variety of lumpia (Filipino style fried spring rolls) with sweet chili sauce instead. It was priced at $15 which was quite reasonable. One of my granddaughters loved the pancit and kept asking for more.
My other granddaughter just wanted mango juice which she liked. Ate Emily (the chef owner) was personable and kind. She even had some candy for the kids to choose from.
She offers a few varieties of lumpia (pork, shrimp, chicken, mushrooms) of which she gave me a variety of. I enjoyed my food. Really wishing they were closer. read more
