So of course I have to try it and let me tell you... it did NOT disappoint! I have eaten there there before and had their delicious deli sandwiches and their burgers are cooked to perfection, but wow! It's all you can eat deep fried pollack. Made to order beer battered or cajun. Included Murtaugh's clam chowder(I WANTED TO BATHE IN THIS STUFF, SO GOOD!), coleslaw, rye bread, their famous made from scratch potato salad (YUMMO! ) or french fries, lemon & tarter. And yay! They had malt vinegar! I love that with my fish. And let's not forget our bartender (sorry sir, I forgot your name ) but he was just on top of EVERYTHING! Fast, polite, engaging and a great smile! Thank you folks at Murtaughs! Oh shoot!! And David the cook!! The Oz. The man behind the curtain. Thank you all for making it great!

If you get the steak sandwich, it comes with a giant pile of deep friend onion straws and horse radish. The steak is always cooked to perfection and is extremely tender. If you're a fan of Tribute Brewing in Eagle River, they carry a few of their brews on tap! My favorite is Blueberry Train & it pairs surprisingly well with pizza. I genuinely love this place, but I have to warn you that like most places up here, service can be slow. If you're new to the area or not used to having to wait a bit for service, it may come to a shock to you but there's a labor shortage here so please be kind to all restaurant workers in the North Woods, ESPECIALLY during tourist season.
