The food is worth waiting for and the wait time is just what we need to have a real conversation with the company we are with. First time lunch stop was on a Friday fish day and walleye bites were ordered. The report is that they were delicious and were tasted by two in the party. I'm gf and don't care for fish so did not taste. The other party member had wings and said they were excellent along with his side of onion rings. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich on a gluten free bun. The bun held up well and the sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries was delicious. Second time here my husband had the special of Chicago style hot dogs, I had the steak sandwich on gf bun and the other in our party had the hot beef sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals and look forward to coming back. The food is just downright good for a fair price. Not sure why only one waitress but guessing they only need one for the kitchen to keep pace. There is seating outside but I think it is just used when they have entertainment. Everyone seems to be enjoying their bar seats and restaurant meals.

A bowl of it would be a meal. I'd have every one at the table order it and get the Huge Pretzel appetizer to go with it. We ordered and shared The Patty Melt and upgraded to the fries instead of the rippled chips. Great rye bread and grilled just right. My wife would have liked dill rather than bread and butter pickle chips. Next time we'll ask if that's an option. It wasn't a deal breaker. We also had the Walleye Finger Basket. Wow! Nice big chunks of walleye with a very good coating. I upgraded to the regular onion rings. These were perfectly cooked and had a great crunch to complement the ring of onion on the inside. The inside is extremely spacious and has a beautiful 360 bar, which is a great hangout spot for watching any and all Wisconsin sports teams. Although I haven't had their pizza in quite some time (it's delicious), I'd really like highlight their sandwiches. I've tried almost every sandwich on the menu include their occasional special sandwiches (prime rib sandwich is incredible). Each sandwich comes with your choice of potato (I believe they make their own chips from scratch?) and the portions on both the side and the sandwich are mind blowing. The Reuben for example is piled so high with meat there has to be at least 11 slices inside making it about 4" tall with the bread on top. If you get the steak sandwich, it comes with a giant pile of deep friend onion straws and horse radish. The steak is always cooked to perfection and is extremely tender. If you're a fan of Tribute Brewing in Eagle River, they carry a few of their brews on tap! My favorite is Blueberry Train & it pairs surprisingly well with pizza. I genuinely love this place, but I have to warn you that like most places up here, service can be slow. If you're new to the area or not used to having to wait a bit for service, it may come to a shock to you but there's a labor shortage here so please be kind to all restaurant workers in the North Woods, ESPECIALLY during tourist season.
