A typical day at work is to get there…read more8:30, I lived half an hour away and I would take the small roads on my way to work because the highway wastes to much gas and they don't even give us back money for gas, I wasn't a "on my own" installer, I was an assistant and I was really trying to learn off of the other installers, I only enjoyed ever working with one of them because he knew what he was doing, he actually taught me more then I ever did with the other installer, the other installer who I won't name. He would throw tantrums and get mad if nothing went his way, I understand stuff happens but your a grown man doing all of this for what? The installers complain about not getting paid enough, management is decent, work place culture is a 1/10 not the best place to learn anything honestly, the hardest part of the job isn't anything. I really wanted to learn and I felt so unvalued by others no matter how much I really did try to learn. The most enjoyable part of the job was going home. I stuck around longer then I needed to because the installer I was with (whom I was placed with more) I really wanted to learn regardless of what he said about me, talked about me, gave me faces, punched around materials, the owners says he pays for materials and everything but he doesn't. We ordered these gates online and things are not what we expected. At this point we feel we must…read moremake people aware of our experience and let you come to your own conclusions. After staring at these gates for over a week, we still don't know what we are going to do. Note, their website reads "NO returns" so you will be stuck with what you get. These gates look nice and look like the photo on their webpage but they are so lightweight we don't feel comfortable installing them; we now know why the 6x6 post are so thin too, they don't have much weight to hold up. Prior to delivery we were told each gate weighed 175lbs, for a total weight of 350lbs...that sounded about right...we have had many gates and fences installed in the last 35 years while buying and selling houses..I used a bathroom scale and each gate weighs around 70lbs, plus or minus a pound or two...now keep in mind this is for an 8 foot long 5 foot tall "commercial gate",....that is a 200lbs difference from what we were told and what we expected. Note: We purchased smaller gates from Home Depot or Lowes years ago for a different house and they seem to be built very similar, we paid a couple hundred dollars for that one. Honestly we feel these gates are worth about $500 a piece in the current market. I called the day these gates arrived and told them these gates are no where near the 175lbs a piece (350lbs total) they quoted and how deceptive that was.I was told they "just give that weight for shipping reasons"... really... so we were charged shipping for 350lbs for gates when they weigh 140 lbs total? If we were told these gates weighed 70lbs a piece we would have Never purchased them. We did our homework and put a decision off for months as we had quotes come in from other companies that would custom make gates, both wrought iron and aluminum. We can honestly say for the over $6K paid we definitely would have definitely stayed local and had them made; no one else was charging extra money for fees and shipping either. I'm sure somewhere in their website it tells you how thin this metal is and it is our fault for not reading closely and assuming what they were saying about the 350 lbs was honest but please be aware...our best advice... do not buy these gates if you are looking for something close to a thick quality gate.." commercial" doesn't mean what we thought it would and I doubt they would meet your expectations either. Note..if you look at the photo of the gate hinge, the black "powder coat" is flaking off the hinge...very strange for powder coat! Obviously this review is just our opinion so please do your own research and best of luck

Negatives- This guy is essentially buying fencing from Folsom Fencing in Kernersville NC marking up…read moreand selling. His value add is limited with the only standout that Folsom's inside sales person is non responsive so he can get order through as he has direct connect. If you want a better price call Folsom directly. Also for his markup you would think when I wanted to cancel the posts that I ordered initially (only needed panels) that he would have some influence. Nope I could not cancel posts as they've "already punched them". Come on man Folsom also installs fencing locally they could have used them. Crappy customer service if I'm paying a finders fee. Now I had to buy $400 of posts that I don't need. Make sure what you order is what you need. However just call Folsom Fencing don't use this guy. Positives - easy website which advertises commercial grade fencing.

In the summer of 2023 I used them again for my guest suite ( essentially a nanny suite ) above my garage. Once again, great job, happy with the price and all was done in a timely fashion. The thing that impressed me the most was the follow up with damage that had been done with the initial job where my bar stools had taken small chunks out of the granite with people swiveling the chairs and hitting the granite. Entirely my fault that it happened. They sent out a repair person and I cannot even tell where the damage was! Would highly recommend. Large selection, great price and excellent follow up! I contacted L&M Construction from their website on January 15 to get an estimate to have my home…read moreresided. They were quick to respond via email on 1/16. I received an email addressed from Matthew Zinn He stated they could make it out that day to measure and begin the estimate. I told them that we would be home at 4 if that worked for them. He wrote me back a few hours later stating that they had already been out and measured and they would send me an estimate soon. Keep in mind that at this point we hadn't had any communication except that I wanted to have my house resided. I hadn't heard or seen anything from him on January 23rd so I sent an email asking if he was still going to send an estimate. He stated it was just about ready and he would send it that evening. About an hour later, I received the estimate. One of the most interesting parts of the estimate was that the siding would be similar to our neighbors. Unfortunately I had no idea what neighbor was being referred to in the estimate. He stated to let him know if we had any questions. I sent him my list of questions, also on January 23rd, 21 minutes after receiving the estimate. I haven't heard any response to my questions or anything else. Needless to say, I am looking to other companies for the work we need done.

I told him we had been waiting 2 months for Lowes to get it together and we are looking around for quotes. He said he is booked 5-6 weeks out minimum and I said ok I still want to get a quote from you we are looking at quotes and we might even look into home depot. We are having to shop around a little because of the Lowes situation. He said I would get the same service at home depot I did with lowes and told me go ahead and get my other estimates then. I told him I still wanted to do the free estimate through him because we are not sure who we are going through right now and he said well he is 5-6 weeks out and could not get us in especially if we are not going to choose him. If you offer free estimates on your site- you should probably not refuse to give the free estimate just because you are unsure if it will be accepted. I am a POTENTIAL client. It does not look good that you will not even come out to give the service you say you offer on the website just because I am looking at a different store. If you would have done the estimate I would have been HAPPY to wait to get the door installed by a professional installer as I have already had to wait 2 months. He kept in contact with me while I was progressing towards being ready for the drywall. He and his crew showed up right on time and got to work. They had the sheetrock hung and mudded in two days. The finishing crew showed up a couple days later to sand and prime. They were polite, fast and cleaned up each day. The numerous patched areas in the ceilings where I removed walls can't even be seen. Nice job overall! I referred MB to a friend in Raleigh who was also very happy with the personnel and results.
