Rush's is always a nice treat when I'm in the Columbia area. Back in my college days, I ordered to go from there quite a few times. I'd never eaten inside of Rush's before, but on this trip, my mother, sister and I ate inside. We received great service. The customer service was on point for our visit for sure. Although it was busy as the lunch rush was in full swing, all the customers were taken care of quickly and respectfully. The food was delicious as well. I always order a double cheeseburger and fries, which never disappoints, and the slaw enhanced the flavor of the burger. My relatives enjoyed their food and my mom, who had never even heard of Rush's before our visit, brought it up a few days later as a possibility next time we're in the Midlands. This is the second time I got screwed by this place. First time, they didn't give me my change back. The second time, the didn't give me all of my order. Cheated me out of a hamburger that was on my receipt and the lady that took Amy order, even called it back to me correct. I normally check my stuff before I leave but this one time I didn't. Was going on good faith. It use to be good. I will NEVER go back to this Rush's again. Oh! Also. I tried to call their phone to complain to them and tell them what they did and the number listed does't even work! Flavor of the chicken was pretty decent & it was juicy which I like. The fries were okay, some were a bit soggy. I enjoyed the milkshake. It's not a bad size for under $3. Would I come back? Possibly so long as the line isn't ridiculously long. I placed my order online and still had to wait at the drive thru since the dine in area was closed. Came back to try the milkshake and hot fudge cake. Oreo milkshake is literally all milk. So bad. The hot fudge cake tasted like a Suzy Q and there wasn't much ice cream or cake . Not worth the $7 read more

Rush's is a staple in Columbia. The employees are nice, provide good customer service and the food is good. Lately the hours changed for each location so you never know when they are open. This should be addressed by management and hours should be posted. read more

Very mediocre food to say the least. The double burger was pretty tasteless and the fries were soggy. The Cole slaw was just okay and the apple turnover was mediocre. For $11 with no drink included, you're much better off going to Chick-fil-A or Cookout next door. I know that I'll never be setting foot inside another Rush's. read more

The cashier acted like we annoyed him with our order and service. I even smiled and said thank you, my 5 year old son said thank you and the cashier maintained the same scowl face the entire time. Couldn't be bothered enough to even utter one word to me the entire time. Food was cold, fries soggy and gross. Never going back. read more

Fabulous food... fast! There's not much to choose from on the menu, but maybe that's a good thing. Quality seems to falter once you've tried to stretch yourself too thin but that's not an issue here because with only a handful of selections more care can be given to the product. Don't go! The service was the worst I've ever received ANYWHERE. it was approx. 7:30 PM, 7/28/21. My order was "hamburger basket all the way, hamburger basket plain, and cheeseburger basket m/k/x-pickles". Then I tried to change the plain basket to "mustard & ketchup". The girl repeated to me "1 all the way, 1 plain, 1 mustard & ketchup, and 1 cheeseburger" (4th hamburger added). I explained to her that the plain one was supposed to be mustard/ketchup, and she said "we got your order". I tried to repeat the order, and she interrupted me again saying "we got your order", with a hateful attitude in her voice this time. I rode around to the window and when she handed me my food, she just stared at me, didn't say thank you, come again, screw you, NOTHING. And yes, THE FOOD ORDER WAS WRONG WHEN I DROVE OFF. She was the most rude individual I've ever encountered in food service. I understand that no one's applying these days, and that employers are working on skeleton crews. There were three people working the kitchen, with a 30 minute line out front (plus the one guy on break, clearly eating/drinking at a table in the closed dining room during the middle of rush hour). Skeleton crews don't excuse rudeness, racism, bad service, etc. She had all of these elements. If the owners were to go back to video (and I know they do), and if the video has audio, they will clearly see and hear their horrible employee in action. My husband ordered our lunch online, and when it said it was ready he drive out there, to pick it up. He waited 30 minutes in the drive thru line for our order just to be complete messed up!! We didn't get our drink for mine, my daughter and I's burgers were completely wrong and our food was cold. We live less than 10 minutes away. For a fast food chain--albeit a local chain--this place is pretty amazing. My wife and I needed to grab a quick bite before heading home to Florence. I'd heard good reports about Rush's. But we don't often eat fast food. We took a chance, and we're glad! My wife had the hot dog basket with a milkshake. I had the barbecue sandwich (pit-cooked, pulled mustard based). I was at the Broad River Road location this evening at 8pm when two male employees were behind the counter. One male employee began hitting the other employee in the face repeatedly . I called the police to report the assault and notified the manager I had done so. She told me she was handling the situation and that I should not have done that. She would not give me her name and said she would not be talking to the police. The police did come, she did speak to them after she saw them talking with me. She came over and interrupted to let them know she had "handed" it. I hope this establishment realizes the severity of this situation and apathy/disrespect the manager showed a customer trying to do the right thing by reporting an assault. read more

Wow - this place has changed over the years. My sister and I dropped in for lunch with our 4 boys while visiting my mom in town. We walked in and ZERO smiles. The staff is young, HS aged at best, which was to be expected. However absolutely NO customer service skills and TONS of attitude. My young cashier acted as if she was doing me a favor by taking my order. As we walked away with $60 worth of food, a man came into the store and asked about his order. He apparently pulled up in the drive-thru to place a large order and was asked to pull up to wait for his food. 75 minutes later he came inside to check on his order that they hadn't started prepping. He waited an additional 10 min for his order. Needless to say, he already paid while in the drive-thru and wasn't offered a discount nor refund. Food was descent and reminisced of the old days, but the entire staff at Rush's, including Management, need an attitude adjustment of the RVP kind. read more

I ordered a hamburger basket with bacon, no mustard and no tomatoes. I get my sandwich and it had mustard on it. I let them know and they "fixed" the sandwich. I saw them get new onions and bread but I could not see everything that was done...but I assumed everything was new. I almost finish the sandwich and I open it and I see mustard on it. The original bacon had some mustard on it still. I would have asked for my money back if it wasn't for the fact that I ate most of it. If they didn't want to completely make a new sandwich, they could have been competent enough to make sure everything with mustard was thrown away. My family had just traveled from a memorial service in Florence, SC for my brother-in-law )who actually worked in this very Rush's years ago). We had over 20 people in the home after the service that were very hungry. I decided to go to Rush's because they are open until midnight. I arrived exactly 30 minutes before closing. I asked the cashier if it would be to much for me to order 24 pieces of chicken being that the store was near closing. She told me that she had to get special permission from the manager. Without hesitation the manager come out of the back and started preparing the chicken. I just want it to be known that I'd had a very tough day and that one kind gesture from the manager and friendly customer service from the cashier warmed my heart. On Sunday I went to Rush's and when I got home my order was incorrect. I immediately called back and was told by a manager (woman) that she wrote my name down and she would replace my entire meal. She also said I could come back another day. Fast forward today my husband goes to pick up our meal with my 4 year old son. He was told it would not be able to be replaced by a manager (male). So at this time the District Manager was there and he communicated from my husband to the DM...h.e didn't want to come talk face to face with my husband. So away this point you have humiliated my husband about a conversation I had with your manager. Finally I was told they needed a time that I called. I sent a screenshot with the time and date. Then they awarded us by giving us what they wanted us to have instead of what I was promised. At this point it's not even about the food anymore, but definitely about being disrespected and humiliated over chicken. I will never visit this location again. read more
