The burger and fries were great, the beer was perfect, they were playing '90s rock, and Friends was on TV. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The second time, the place was pretty full on a Saturday, but the food and fries were just as delicious, and the beer was still perfect. I'll definitely be coming back regularly to this place!

Our group has 13 and fortunately we had 11 today, which probably was about the most they could've managed at that table. Waiter was great. Took our drink orders and burger orders. Had a variety of orders (Poncho, Classic, Tuesday's Special Ron Swanson's), with regular fries and sweet potato fries. Burgers were very good, everyone happy with the exception of one burger getting dropped on the floor, resulting in that person waiting for about 10 minutes to get a replacement. Meanwhile he chomped on some of his fries. Overall food was great. Only issue is with the loud music. Music is good music, just way to loud. Everytime we go here nobody can here each other talk across the table. (We always sit at the big corner table on the right as you walk in). Fries were okay....nothing special. Burgers are the thing. Wish they would offer some home fries along with the regular and sweet potato fries. Only complaint we have is the loud music. Just tone it down about 3db.

TLDR; Don't order the vegetarian/ bean patty unless you absolutely LOVE beans…read more I ordered a BD's All American burger (to go) with a grilled bean patty. Hated it. The patty was over an inch thick and consisted of nothing but beans and bean-mush. Would've been nice if a few other veggies were mixed in. As a selective vegetarian- I love bean mush- however, it was incredibly overwhelming on this burger. Would definitely try the impossible burger next time instead. I got a side of sweet potato fries, they were soggy, subpar. A regular fry accidentally found its way into my order and it was SO much better. I'd definitely give this place another try & order the impossible burger with regular fries/ tots next time. I wouldn't recommend the bean burger to my worst enemy. Our to-go order was ready at the exact time the restaurant quoted so that was a plus.

Our waitress was sweet but you could tell she was screaming for assistant and help. Several tables needed bussing in and outside and the bathroom needed a serious scrub down as someone's daughter and mom had fun with a brown crayon following dinner. Hubby and I were eager to try some more options again but advised a lot of the items were out. Mr. Foodie settled on a classic burger while I got the Greek. Very tasty medium burger with Greek veggies, toasted bun and side of tzatziki sauce. Burger actually good and paired well with fries. Sauce could be blended more with the yogurt but great addition. Hubby said burger was good just needed more sauce. Not giving up on it as an option but definitely not a first choice.

Pawleys Front Porch is a dive bar, and has been featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened, and were the first to arrive. Even after us being in the restaurant for an hour, only two other parties arrived to dine. It honestly felt like a ghost town, and hope that it is not like this every day. Their fried pickles are actually pretty good! They are crispy, hot, and have a good dill taste (good pickles). The chicken tenders are good! They aren't frozen, are crispy, and have good taste. The burger was supposed to come with a pretzel bun, but apparently they haven't had a pretzel bun in three years lol. Why is it still on the menu? We don't know. His burger was a bit overcooked and toppings weren't quite as high quality as last time. Our server was wonderful, and constantly came around to refill our drinks and get us anything we need. It did take a bit of a long time for our food to come out, but that's alright. As long as the food is good we don't mind. We hope to see the restaurant return back to how good it used to be!

We waited an hour or more because they said there was only one cook. We got our burgers (ordered medium) and they were completely overcooked. I wondered if mine was even beef. Some call it a dive bar, some are more generous; are there sticky tables, servers with tattoos, a busy bar were suds and cheaper whiskey prevail, and original paint? You bet! Let's get to the food. Lucky's menu features a variety of burgers, salads, wings, hotdogs and sides. Don't expect beer on tap, but an extensive selection of bottled beer should satisfy most folks. We ordered a Black and Blu burger with onion straws and a patty melt with fries. From the time we walked in until our food arrived probably took about 25 minutes. That was our own fault as we took way too long deciding what to order. When our food arrived, I immediately dug into the well constructed burger. I could barely open my mouth wide enough. And the taste? Very tasty. My wife enjoyed her patty melt--a burger on marbled rye with cheese and cooked onions that holds up surprisingly well! My onion straws were crunchy and sweet. So let…read moreme start off by saying I am from the upstate part of South Carolina, where places like Clocks, Pete's, and Sugar-n-Spice are in abundance and their bacon cheeseburger plates are spectacular. If you are looking for a similar-style burger place in the Columbia area, then Whataburger is it. I enjoy the call-ahead drive-through, and there is plenty of parking. The interior is set up as a counter-service diner. The ordering process, whether in person or over the phone, is easy. Their bacon cheeseburgers do not come close to those in the upstate, but they are good. It is satisfactory in size, and the flavor is tasty. They are definitely a great burger option in the area. I wish the bacon was cooked a bit more. Otherwise, their bacon cheeseburger is pretty solid. Their fries are crinkle-cut and lightly salted. The fries I receive are always fresh. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I got coleslaw or not. The customer service is nice and undeniably appreciated.

The way he was eating that burger and rolling his eyes at the back of his head, haha I knew it tasted miraculous. He stated it was juicy, flavorful and the homemade pimento cheese was delicious. We also tried the Hush Puppies with cinnamon butter, and they were so good it's hard to just stop popping them in your mouth!
