Friendly service. Always seems to be a steady stream of customers. My go to place for a quick order of gizzards.

I forgot his name but he served us on the patio. The weather was actually perfect yesterday, sunny not too hot, fans were going so you could feel the breeze. We got the seafood trio as an appetizer and everything was well done. The shrimp cocktail was nicely seasoned. I really liked that instead of just having plain shrimp. The fried oysters were nice but I wish I had known about the pineapple on top because I would have requested it not on there, it made the breading a little soggy. But nonetheless the flavor was still good and oysters were fresh. My bf loved the cucumber kimchi. We also enjoyed the crab cake. I would have preferred a little bit crisper outside but the flavor was really good. For dinner I got the fish du jour which was a grilled triple tail (I believe he said). It was cooked perfectly but did not have a lot of flavor. I assumed they didn't want to over power the fish because I had it with crispy brussel sprouts which were salty and a spinach and corn risotto which was amazing. Everything paired well together. My bf got the lamb rack and it was the perfect medium rare. For dessert if you have creme brulee on your menu I'm getting it ! It's my favorite dessert. The custard was a little undercooked because it was a bit runny but the flavor was amazing. You could see the little pieces of vanilla bean. And the sugar on top was thick so it was a lot sweeter than most creme brûlées I've had. I'd give it an 8/10. My bf got the strawberry hand pie (I think it was) and he doesn't like sweets too much but he said it was good and the ice cream wasn't too sweet. The pastry looked delicious. They gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday and it was so good. It tasted like my favorite Chandon spritz. So it really was a perfect way to end the night. Overall it was a 9/10 experience and I'd love to come.

Rachel was quick, witty and so sweet and had a way with the kiddos my daughter loved her. We started off with the cast iron goat cheese as the appetizer- solid and even the kids loved it. For our main course my daughter went with the grilled cheese from the kids menu that came with fries and a coke, my son just got a burger with everything but tomato from the regular menu and devoured the entire plate, I was torn between the Mediterranean bowl or the Baja bowl however Rachel recommended the honey harissa bowl with a crab cake and let me tell you it was amazing! Literally tasted so fresh and delicious, my husband was going to go with the steak however they unfortunately were out so he went with his second choice which was the creole shrimp and grits which he cleared the plate but that too was sooo delicious. All in all this place was a solid 5 stars all the way around from, service to atmosphere and flavor and just the freshness of the ingredients they use here. Our waiter recommended drinks for us to start off. I had looked at the menu already so I knew I wanted to try the tuna tostada for an appetizer and my girl got the brick oven broccoli. The tuna was so fresh and melted in your mouth and it was perfect with the chili lemon mayo and capers, giving it a nice pop and spice. The tostada was cooked perfectly and had the nice crunch. The broccoli was cooked well , not hard but not soft and had some spice to it. I ordered the hanger steak with sweet potatoes instead of fries and omg it was so good. I got my steak cooked medium well, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved the Parmesan on top of the sweet potatoes. It was the perfect pair. The drink I got was a white sangria which was sweet but not too sweet. You could def taste the wine and all the fruit flavors. My girl go the oven brick salmon and that didn't miss either. This experience was a 10/10 for me.

Let's start with my birthday weekend- I made a reservation and was sat promptly for my birthday brunch. The restaurant had music playing and the decor was nice. It took awhile for the server to come to the table and take our order. Once placed we didn't see her again. My party flagged down whoever was passing at the time for assistance. Once the food came out, it was COLD. I don't recall how long it took to come out, but by the time it did, I just ate it. It was well seasoned though. The DJ was the best part of the entire day and the reason why I gave 2 stars. I even went and gave him props. My friend's birthday weekend- I swore that I wouldn't return back, but I went the following weekend to celebrate a friend and it was a repeat of service and food. My friends ordered a hookah and it took almost 2 hours for them to get it. I work in the service industry and understand that at times it gets busy, but 2 weeks in a row with the same service, I can assure you I'll never step foot in that establishment again.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!

We had reservations and were seated promptly in a comfortable booth near the front windows, where I thoroughly enjoyed watching the rain fall while we settled in for dinner. Our server, Alexis B., was as sweet as could be. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening, she did everything she could to make our experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, things went downhill when one of my dining companions disclosed an onion allergy. To be clear, the issue wasn't Alexis - it was the response from management. What should have been a straightforward conversation turned into a surprisingly frustrating ordeal involving both a manager and assistant manager, neither of whom handled the situation particularly well. We ordered a roasted beet salad for the table, drinks including a club soda and Cola's 76, and my friends planned to split the hamburger. When the burger arrived, it consisted of a bun and a beef patty. That's it. No toppings. Nothing. When we asked what happened, we were told it was due to concerns about cross contamination. Now, I fully appreciate restaurants taking food allergies seriously. In fact, I encourage it. But there was a complete lack of communication, flexibility, or customer service surrounding the situation. When additional toppings and accompaniments were eventually brought out separately, there was no explanation, apology, or acknowledgment of the confusion. The entire interaction left a really, really bad taste in our mouths. As for my own meal, things were much better. I enjoyed a strawberry mojito, a half-dozen oysters Rockefeller, and the gnocchi caprese. The gnocchi was quite unique and something I don't often see on menus. The food itself was enjoyable. So, in the end, this review comes down to the service experience. Alexis was wonderful. The atmosphere was inviting. The food ranged from good to very good. But the way management handled a simple allergy accommodation turned what could have been a four- or five-star experience into a frustrating one. Sweet server. Cozy atmosphere. Sour management. Kind of like an onion, I guess!

In addition, my waitress was nice, but I would've liked it if she was a tad more attentive. Although I didn't drink on this occasion, I've been to Publico in the past, and I will say that their margaritas are much better than comparable Mexican places. So, perhaps if you're looking for a Mexican place that has good drinks rather than great food, Publico seems like a nice option. As for the ambiance, it was a cool place. It was dimly lit, and they had TVs all over the back wall where you could watch the day's sporting events. The bar looked like it had a cool vibe as well, and they have a back patio that's perfect for outside dining. All-in-all, I'd probably go back and recommend Publico for drinks and ambiance, but would likely head elsewhere if I'm looking for great Mexican food.
