We were with another company. Ferrell Propane. Horrible company! We are both in our 70's...we…read morebought our home in October of 2025. The previous owner told us she just had the propane tank filled at the end of September so we should be good through about May..So being the people we are...we believed her. No reason for her to lie about this we had already bought the home. We moved in in November. On September 17, 2024, once the home went pending... we called Ferrell Gas to set up an account for October 5, when we would be closing on the home. We set up our profile etc..but for some reason they never set up our account...But we were told that was all we needed to do to get it changed over. In January.. our propane ran out...It was in the 30's and in the 20's at night. We called them and told them our situation and they told us we didn't have an account...WHAT? Ummm we set one up and they said they saw where we called but the account wasn't fully set up by THEIR representative!!! But they had our profile in their system. They also told us there was an issue with the account with the previous owner. I asked what it was. Was told that she leased the tank...(for 12 years) and still owed $840 on it,. No problem...if that is what it takes to get heat in my home I will pay it off. I was told this on day 4...of making calls daily. (Each time I was told someone would get back to me,..no one ever got back with me!) They couldn't tell me this one day one! So now I own the tank. I was told they would be out in 12 days to fill the tank. Again I told them I was out...They told me they would "get back to me" to see if they could come sooner. For the next 5 days I called THEM to see if I could get some help. After talking with 6 other people for help over the 5 days period...I finally got a woman who HELPED me. She could heard how upset I and frustrated I was to the point of tears. She told me since I know own the tank I could get anyone I wanted to fill it up. She told me I wouldn't get the paperwork on the tank for up to 2 weeks...and I would need this in order to get fuel from someone else. I toler he I never received anything that I bought the tank..not even a receipt...So she sent me an email for proof that I had purchased it as she said she wouldn't want anyone to do this to her Mother! Bless this young lady. So I called a local company here in Fort Worth JOE RIDER PROPANE and they came out that very day...worked me into their schedule...everyone was out on deliveries ....so the owner came out and took care of us!!! That's a company who takes great care of their customers even new customers! With in 2.5 hours we had a safety inspection done and a full tank of propane! It gave me great joy to call Ferrill Gas back and tell them to cancel my order and account! You won't believe what they then said...well since its an emergency.... we can get out there first thing in the morning....!!! WHAT! What happened to not being able to come for another 6 days...I would NEVER EVER do business with this company! EVER! I told them no way...cancel my account. It's now been 4 hours since we got our tank full by Joe Rider Propane and we are finally warm after 6 days of freezing! If you're looking for a propane company....Call a company who cares and is VERY Professional and takes good care of you. JOE RIDER 817-237-3325 save yourself much frustration and headache! They are THE best Thank you Joe Rider....

Last year I purchased 10 30-lb propane bottles at Costco for my new home generator and took them to Joe Rider to fill up and today I am going back to purchase a couple of 20-lb bottles and fill up for our new Blackstone grill. I am 74 years old with cancer (therefore needing extra help) living in south Arlington and I wouldn't go anywhere else because of the help and service they provided me. Thank you guys.

Cody came to do the initial inspection and check my stove. He was very informative, friendly and he adjusted my stove in two minutes and a year of frustration disappeared! He is very thorough and helpful, not to mention easy to talk to. Then later that day, Clint came and filled my tank. So friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with all around. I would heartily recommend this company for all your propane needs! Zach in the office was able to schedule our fill in a timely manner and called to make sure everything was good. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The tech surprisingly asked for half of the bill on the day of installation because I needed to pay for the tank and for rental fees since their trench digger was down. I was caught off guard but I happened to have had $2,200 cash on me. I gave it to him and left since I missed a half day of work to meet him at the house and had to get to work. How would I know about the trench digger rental if he wasn't justifying asking for a deposit? After several calls nothing at all was done to accommodate the situation. You can imagine the frustration of paying $6,003.42 for a $3,803.42 bill. Who would do something like this? Owner would not take a call or email. In response to the reply from the business-I called the Wise County Sheriff on 1/30 and spoke to a detective and he told me there was nothing they could do without a receipt and he suggested I speak to a lawyer, which I had already done. I relayed this to Reese, but by reading your reply, I guess that detail never got to you. It's the tech's word against mine. After I handed him the cash, he placed the twenty two $100 bills on the left side in his already full metal clipboard, I saw them spill to the right inside the case as he closed it while he sat half way in his truck. He wrote something down but I did not get a receipt. The stack of cash was neat and all facing the same direction and I thought what a mess he made of the bills. Why not check his work order from that day and see what he wrote? It's about integrity. I didn't realize there was any reason to distrust. My mistake for assuming I could trust a guy representing your company. I even called him while I was driving away to see if he was going to send a receipt but he said there would not be a receipt until the he installation was paid in full. To the technician, you know who I am talking to. I hope you needed it and we forgive you. I know you were on hard times with illness in your family and we waited weeks for our installation you because you are their best guy. You probably missed a lot of work. Our hearts still go out to you and all you've been through. We never wanted you to get in trouble or press charges but it would have helped if you did not let me look crazy or if you at least could apologize for your actions. I'm sure this could have been resolved without a blemish to your work history, it probably still could. Regardless, I truly pray all is well with you and your loved ones.
