United Propane is NOT United Propane. It was consolidated into a group literally ran by a call…read morecenter. Pinnacle Propane is its name and I dare you to try and call them. Hours of my life is wasted! Tammy, the delivery lady texted me (I had no idea who she was). And asked for our gate code. When I went to follow up, a day later she said she couldn't get in? It's a private community and the gate always works. I will be buying my propane locally regardless of the cost. Pinnacle Propane owes me money they forced me to pre pay. Trust me, run. Even if you didn't know about the transition to Pinnacle...they are the Ivory towner we all despise. ;).

I needed propane for a swimming pool heater, as my neighborhood is not wired for gas. I called…read moreseveral local places, and after dealing with them... I wouldn't use anyone other than United Propane! Alex was absolutely fantastic!! One guy had to go purchase all of the equipment from his competitor in Jacksboro (who apparently is a really great place to work with). The second guy straight up No Showed... I don't know if he didn't want to come to Decatur, or if they were struggling as everyone said... but either way, didn't do enough to earn my business... like SHOW UP to an APPOINTMENT! The third company I tried really didn't care what I wanted. All he could tell me was what an idiot I was... I should have gotten a bigger unit and would need WAY more propane... and ONLY he could set me up properly. (I was already 2 units over what my pool needed... I wanted a gas quote, not your unsolicited advice, Bowie/Decatur Propane, on something you clearly know NOTHING about! Then Alex w/ United showed up. Alex actually told me I had too much heater (which was accurate). Alex told me I could get by with a smaller (cheaper) tank... although I didn't want it. Alex gave me options on purchasing or leasing my tank! Alex walked the yard and showed me all the aesthetic places I could put my tanks. Alex helped me get everything physically lined out to install and all the city permits so I would be legal! Alex worked with me, and helped me find SOLUTIONS to my problems... instead of just SELLING! Alex even came back and moved the line when the lawnmower lady hit it!! THAT IS SERVICE! THAT IS 5 STAR SERVICE! That's how you not only win business... but loyalty! You may save some pennies somewhere else (but I doubt it)... but if you want No Worries Satisfaction in your purchase... It's UNITED, hands down! 5 STARS. #Shoplocal Update: Apparently the FANTASTIC SERVICE is due to new owners and new management!!

We were with another company. Ferrell Propane. Horrible company! We are both in our 70's...we…read morebought our home in October of 2025. The previous owner told us she just had the propane tank filled at the end of September so we should be good through about May..So being the people we are...we believed her. No reason for her to lie about this we had already bought the home. We moved in in November. On September 17, 2024, once the home went pending... we called Ferrell Gas to set up an account for October 5, when we would be closing on the home. We set up our profile etc..but for some reason they never set up our account...But we were told that was all we needed to do to get it changed over. In January.. our propane ran out...It was in the 30's and in the 20's at night. We called them and told them our situation and they told us we didn't have an account...WHAT? Ummm we set one up and they said they saw where we called but the account wasn't fully set up by THEIR representative!!! But they had our profile in their system. They also told us there was an issue with the account with the previous owner. I asked what it was. Was told that she leased the tank...(for 12 years) and still owed $840 on it,. No problem...if that is what it takes to get heat in my home I will pay it off. I was told this on day 4...of making calls daily. (Each time I was told someone would get back to me,..no one ever got back with me!) They couldn't tell me this one day one! So now I own the tank. I was told they would be out in 12 days to fill the tank. Again I told them I was out...They told me they would "get back to me" to see if they could come sooner. For the next 5 days I called THEM to see if I could get some help. After talking with 6 other people for help over the 5 days period...I finally got a woman who HELPED me. She could heard how upset I and frustrated I was to the point of tears. She told me since I know own the tank I could get anyone I wanted to fill it up. She told me I wouldn't get the paperwork on the tank for up to 2 weeks...and I would need this in order to get fuel from someone else. I toler he I never received anything that I bought the tank..not even a receipt...So she sent me an email for proof that I had purchased it as she said she wouldn't want anyone to do this to her Mother! Bless this young lady. So I called a local company here in Fort Worth JOE RIDER PROPANE and they came out that very day...worked me into their schedule...everyone was out on deliveries ....so the owner came out and took care of us!!! That's a company who takes great care of their customers even new customers! With in 2.5 hours we had a safety inspection done and a full tank of propane! It gave me great joy to call Ferrill Gas back and tell them to cancel my order and account! You won't believe what they then said...well since its an emergency.... we can get out there first thing in the morning....!!! WHAT! What happened to not being able to come for another 6 days...I would NEVER EVER do business with this company! EVER! I told them no way...cancel my account. It's now been 4 hours since we got our tank full by Joe Rider Propane and we are finally warm after 6 days of freezing! If you're looking for a propane company....Call a company who cares and is VERY Professional and takes good care of you. JOE RIDER 817-237-3325 save yourself much frustration and headache! They are THE best Thank you Joe Rider....

Last year I purchased 10 30-lb propane bottles at Costco for my new home generator and took them to Joe Rider to fill up and today I am going back to purchase a couple of 20-lb bottles and fill up for our new Blackstone grill. I am 74 years old with cancer (therefore needing extra help) living in south Arlington and I wouldn't go anywhere else because of the help and service they provided me. Thank you guys.

We've been members of Ray William's Propane Club since 2006-2007 (Winter) season. Ray and his…read morewife Georgia basically negotiate a rate (per gallon of propane) for each season and typically "lock-in" the rate from September 1st to March 31st for anyone who is a member. Membership per year is typically $45 for a residential user. During these last 9 seasons, we have never failed to at least save 2x or 3x our $45 membership rate over the season. But on two years we literally saved $1000 on our purchase of propane for a season (winter). Propane rates always fluctuate upwards in the winter (usage is much higher) and by joining RWPC we basically we ensure our rate (per gallon) remains the same, regardless of the fluctuations. The harsher the winter, the more likely the savings will be huge! Remember the record setting (for North Texas) snow storm a couple of years ago? We were snug in our house with the propane fired central heat on, paying about 1/2 of what others were paying per gallon, due to the lock-in rate offered through RWPC. The last few years RWPC has been using Poor Boys Propane as the supplier in the Midlothian area and those folks do a great job and are highly responsive. It is always good to find a business, particularly a service business, that not only takes great care of you (RWPC and Poor Boys) .... but saves you money on a needed consumable. These guys have it figured out. We'll continue to renew our yearly membership and some years we will save a small amount and other years we will save a large amount. But every year we can count on good service and availability of propane for our heating, cooking, and hot water needs.
