Rumours is pretty fun even if you don't sing karaoke (if you can handle it! Lol). I'm always so amazed how much people get INTO it. They're living their American Idol and The Voice dreams up there on stage. There's actually two rooms here, the other one in the back is kind of a little maze to find and it not always open. The private rooms are back there, as well. The drinks can depend, sometimes they've been outrageous and other times not as bad. I'd ask how much something is before you order it. I can't speak to how the system works for singing other than it's a QR code. I do kinda hate it, though, when there's a long customer queue and the KJs sing. I think it's so rude and terrible customer service. Let the customers go! Put your egos away. When the queue is low, that's when it makes the most sense for KJs to do their thing to get the party started. read more

These have to be the rudest people I have met. During the Pride Parade the set up a sound system on the side walk and blasted totally drowning out every thing from the parade. However, owners have stupidly strict rules for booking rooms - you have to book online (even if you're there in person), bookings have to start at the next hour even if you're willing to pay for and forego the first part of the hour that has already passed, and you cannot be let in early at all. I've been coming here for a long time. Haven't had problems until tonight KJ didn't let me sing a song because it's already been sung. There were very few people. He was definitely just being rude and abusing his power. He said creep was already sung earlier in the night I don't see why I couldn't sing it after waiting over an hour when half the people left. I've hosted Karaoke myself and have been singing karaoke for years I've never had someone tell me no on such a simple song. He said pick a different song or I'm moving on from you. I asked multiple times if I could just sing the song and he was insisting that he will take me off the list if I don't pick another song. Even though half the people were gone. So I picked Etta James. I've seen multiple people in the past sing the same song. So rude definitely never coming back which is sad since I've been coming for years. read more

This place is awful! First it is $10 per person cover charge to get in. Then drinks are about $12 and up per person. We had two in our party so every time we got a drink it was $24. So now we wanted to sing but the only way to sing here is to download an app wait to sing that song and then add another, unless you PAY EXTRA to go to the top up to $150 on their app but I watched people sing over and over by cash tipping the DJ! So the chances of ever singing here are very slim! Unless you want to pay to sing! We were from out of town so they just cared less if we ever sang! Megan tried and did get me up to sing once in the 5 hrs we were there waiting to sing but her hands were tied. She did not take tip to sing in her section it was the DJ in the back room karaoke section! He was so freakin rude! when I confronted him he told me "well you can't blame me for making $$$$". What a business model! over $150 just waiting to sing in five hours and sang one time after I bitched about things! Never will come back!! They keep saying it's a karaoke bar and this is how it works! No no no we karaoke all the time! This is NOT how it works this is how you take advantage of your customers and scam them into believing they will ever sing in this place unless you know the owner or pay a lot of extra $$$!!! The karaoke rooms are a bit small but the tech in there is top notch! we paid for a private room and it was a bit expensive for the size :/ but i can't say it was not fun! We had a great night, until we didn't. The bartenders and staff were wonderful, and we were really excited for karaoke. We waited over an hour for our songs to finally come up in the queue, and once our group started singing, the woman running karaoke told us we were "ruining the night." She said people were leaving and not tipping because of us, even though we had only just started singing. It was incredibly rude, hurtful, and completely ruined our night. I've had great karaoke experiences elsewhere, but unfortunately not here. While the bar staff and other employees were kind and welcoming, the woman running karaoke made me cry and completely took away my confidence. Went for my daughter's 12th birthday and we had fun. The place was empty mostly but the emcee worked with us to get whom the people that were there to sing happy birthday. The service was really good but the prices are on the high side for what you get. And there is a service charge every time you buy something. I've been to Rumors many times and usually have a great time, but my most recent visit left a bad impression. The bartender came over to our group and told us that each person had to order two items or we couldn't stay--unless we paid a cover charge. That's never happened before, and it felt unfair, especially since my friend ordered three items and we shared two of them. What's even more frustrating is that it seems like the rules aren't applied equally. I've noticed the bartender shows favoritism toward certain customers and seems to pick and choose who has to pay a cover charge. Logan is a rock and roll tornado. Kylie nails Cindi Lauper songs to the stratosphere. Bex is effortlessly cool! Ruben's dishes are delicious. And Juanita is a joy!!! The guys equipment doesn't work. KJ Boston is not a great DJ. Honestly the people are the fun part, but this guy phones it in pretty bad. Go somewhere else for karaoke. UPDATE: this guy just sings over everybody. it's insane. Definitely would not recommend going when this DJ is working. The manager Brian was incredible, and DJ Elle kept the energy up all night and even performed with me, which made it extra fun!! Charged a $10 cover per person just to enter. Come on. I'm coming here to spend money on drinks, this isn't some dance club, it is a bar with a karaoke dj. Roll the price of the DJ into the drinks and food prices. Drinks are overpriced, waiting over 2 hours to sing a song when paying money just to enter an establishment is egregious. Won't be back. Easily the best karaoke bar in Denver since Armida's closed its doors. He wait can get long after around 9pm to sing so get in early if you want to sing multiple times. The cool part however is Dream Karaoke opens up at 9pm on the other side of the building so you can easily get to both. The food and drinks are great, definitely try the tacos. The song book is super limited and the KJ uses software that makes the show not flow very well. The KJ should probably consider using Karafunn or the like. I was there Sat 12/13. The DJ in the Dreams room with she/her pronouns was being combative over the mic with a patron. It was definitely an unprofessional approach. Not only that but the DJ also put themselves in the cue but can't sing very well, so that was disappointing and a waste of a spot in the cue. read more

They have no accountability when something is stolen from their patrons. Paid for a private room, left my jacket on a hanger literally outside the room. My jacket was stolen, the ownership, Bryan, basically told me sorry but you're out of luck. He also shared multiple situations where other items were stolen. Poorly run, no accountability.
