We got lucky and had a table out on the deck and the view was beautiful !!!! The food was great and the drinks had me on my booty !!!! LOL !! My party of 8 had a reservation at 7:15 but we didn't get seated to 8:10 needless to say we were not happy. The manager noticed and ended up taking care of our table. The staff was great after this and so was the food . Four different people got the ribs and they loved them . I got the mahi dish and it was amazing . We have been here before and we will definitely be coming back. The manager that worked Tuesday night was very apologetic and my party really appreciated it . Went back to Rumba at my 17 year old son's suggestion before we left Long Island for our last lunch. He loves fish tacos. The tacos and Dominican ribs were great again. We tried the Coconut Risotto which was perfect, light coconut flavor which complimented all the dishes. The duck empanadas were excellent with a nice dipping sauce. We recommend trying all the tacos - Jamaican chicken, steak with guacamole, pulled pork and fish tacos are well worth the trip. Moved my rating up to 5 stars. read more

They have a free boat that takes you to cowfish if you would want to have drinks there, just visit or if the wait is too long. I live two miles from rumba year around and it is hands down my favorite place to eat anywhere in the north east. The scallop salad and the new wings are amazing. Have yet to have a bad meal there. Try to go more for lunch just to avoid the crowds but its the one place never mind waiting for food. Don't usually get dessert when I go out but can never resist. Rumba has been one of my favorite restaurants since they opened their doors. Everything from the food, the drinks, and the service is amazing. I have been to this restaurant more than any other restaurant and have never been disappointed. Make sure to have the Prickly Pear margarita, the tuna appetizer, ribs, and the mahi entree. Excellent food and drinks, we were on vacation and went there twice. Pretty cool atmosphere and relaxing. We had late night drinks down by the dock. Staff was extremely friendly, drinks were great, food was perfect. I would give this place 5 stars but they really are in over their heads with the valet parking, we parked with no problem, but when it came time to leave the lot was over full and there was a line of people waiting to get in to the lot and a line of people waiting to get their cars, after waiting 10 minutes I just grabbed my own keys off the valet board and grabbed my own car read more

My husband, son and I had a delicious meal at Rumba last night. It was my 50th birthday weekend and my husband read great reviews online and wanted to bring me somewhere new. We waited a while (had no reservations) but while we waited for a table, took a look at the menu and by the time we were seated we knew that we would have, coconut martinis (amazing), Dominican ribs and duck empanadas (wow), ribeye and yams (for my husband), jerk chicken with mango salsa and coconut risotto (for me), and jerk chicken tacos (for my son). We come here all the time! Food is outstanding! Drinks are outstanding! Service is outstanding! The only thing I don't like having my car parked. One time while sitting outside, we saw the kid pulling a customers car out and scrape the car next to it! He wasn't going to say anything but the customer saw it happen too! DELICIOUS!! Such a fun atmosphere and fun dining experience! We were a group of 16 and came for the final dinner of my bachelorette party in the Hamptons. We had pitchers of rum punch and sangria- DELISH! We ordered appetizers to share, individual dinners, and desserts to share- everything was absolutely delicious. My wife and I had been looking forward to eating at Rumba since they catered a party at our condo in Westhampton Beach. We finally made it there this past Saturday night thinking the offseason would be a good time not having to deal with the crowds. We were wrong! Upon arriving at the parking lot there was only 1 valet. 3 cars were ahead of us with the occupants already in the restaurant. It took the valet 15 minutes to move the cars so we could pull in off the main road. By then there were 3 more cars on the main road behind us. When we finally walked in to the restaurant the person at the door (Josh) took our name and said ther would be about a 20-30 minute wait. After 15 minutes another couple walked in and started talking with Josh as if they knew each other. At that moment I told my wife that Josh was going to seat them ahead of us. My hunch was correct as 5 minutes later Josh did exactly that! When I confronted Josh with this, all he could say was they were there ahead of us. The waiting area is small enough that there was no way that was true as my wife and I saw them walk in. We then left the restaurant without wasting any more time (30 minutes between parking and waiting) as there are many other places to dine without being treated this rudely. Mr. Hersh, you should really instruct your employees how to better treat potential customers. read more

Went to Rumba for the first time yesterday, and I can't wait to go back! Being vegan, my options were somewhat limited, but the staff was incredibly helpful in accommodating my dietary restrictions. The Rastaman Tacos were modified to exclude the dairy, and they were phenomenal, and so was the coconut risotto. The Coconut rum drink I had is one of the best cocktails I've ever had! My boyfriend (who's birthday we were celebrating) had the veggie burger, which he loved, and a very generous pour of coffee. Thanks Rumba! read more

This review is WAY overdue. Went to Rumba for the first time back in March for our anniversary. We made reservations, as it was restaurant week and figured it would be crowded. As our luck would have it, the owner called me about an hour and a half before our reservation saying the power went out (there was a bad storm that day), but that they were working hard to fix the problem and that it should be done by the time we got there. We decided to take our chances and it was probably one of the best decisions we made all year. The owner greeted us upon arrival and he was super nice! Our waitress who was also bartending was attentive and very friendly. The food was out of this world!!! I got the calamari for the appetizer and my husband got the Dominican ribs. The entrees were amazing and they even gave us all of the desserts on the menu because it was our anniversary. Incredible staff, wonderful food. Highly recommended!!!!! read more
