I was tasked with finding a company to clean my parents' old Chinese rug, which they had purchased many years ago. Unfortunately, mold had begun growing on the surface of the fibers in an area where a couch had been sitting, so we knew the rug needed professional cleaning. From the start, communication with Rug Masters was excellent. I received a very competitive price quote, responses were prompt, and the turnaround time worked well for us. Jay arrived on June 2nd, right on schedule, to pick up the wool rug. After inspecting it, he discovered moth damage, which increased the cost for cleaning and restoration of the 9' x 12' rug from $480 to $600. Even with the additional repairs, his quote was still the best among the companies I contacted, and it included both pickup and delivery. The rug was returned to us on June 27th, and we were extremely impressed and satisfied with the results. The colors were vibrant, the mold spots and spores were completely gone, and the moth-damaged areas had been expertly repaired. The rug looked immaculate and beautifully restored. We are very pleased with both the quality of the work and the customer service. We would not hesitate to use this company again and highly recommend them! read more

Iraj was professional and responsive and the rates were very reasonable. He also gave us an appraisal at no extra charge.

Iraj is truly The Rug Master! He literally peeled back a small section of our antique Persian rugs and instantly knew which area in Iran they were from, the approximate age and types of dyes used. His wisdom and enthusiasm is inspiring. He went above and beyond to pick up the rugs in the city, clean them, appraise them, deliver a few to our home, store the rest for several weeks AND then deliver them to a consignment shop in San Raphael!! read more

Needed a white and black Moroccan living room rug cleaned before the holidays and Iraj and team from Rug Masters did a fantastic job. I had only had my carpet cleaned once prior and there was still an old pet accident left behind. I'm happy to report that the old pet stain and every other stain was removed. My carpet came back looking brand new. I am so grateful to have found them and will definitely be a repeat customer. I was almost considering buying a new carpet but after this cleaning, this rug will certainly last me as many years as I'd like it to. read more

When I first contacted Rug Masters (SF) and spoke with Iraj about cleaning 4 area rugs (1 needed repairing as well), I knew immediately that I and my rugs were in excellent hands. At the time of pickup from my place, Iraj appraised the condition of each rug and whether the one in need of repair was worth mending (it was). I was struck by his very positive attitude, obvious expertise, and manner that was approachable, kind and courteous. When he returned a few weeks later with my cleaned and repaired rugs, I was immensely pleased with the results: The rugs looked beautiful! Iraj and his assistant were so kind and accommodating as they very efficiently placed each rug where I requested, effortlessly moving any furniture accordingly. I highly recommend Rug Masters for expert cleaning and repair of area rugs, especially high quality ones that one would only trust to the very best in the business. In addition to the outstanding job Rug Masters did, I felt their prices were fair and reasonable. Thank you, Iraj and company! read more

I found Rug Masters and was able to get my 8x10 green shag rug deep cleaned back in April 2025. I left this rug in the garage and it was unfortunately got caught in a flood on Christmas Day. As a result, it was soaked and started to have a musty odor. I contacted Jay, who was able to again pick it up at my house in Daly City, deep cleaned it for 2 weeks, and dropped it back to my house. My green shad rug, now back in my living room, appeared back to new and was completely rid of any odors. Highly recommend! read more

I recently hired Iraj to inspect, repair and clean 6 precious (antique) carpets that I have had in my family for decades so I can keep them in great shape for the next generation when the time comes. Their service was top notch. They picked up, inspected, repaired and cleaned all of rugs using only the correct materials to preserve the value and integrity of rugs. They also cut new pads to further preserve the rugs. When they delivered the rugs, they made sure the pads were correctly placed, moving furniture to make sure the placement was perfect to highlight the beauty of the carpets. They also have locations in San Francisco and San Rafael which makes them extra convenient. In addition to cleaning, if I were in the market to buy or sell a rug, I would definitely go to one of their locations. They know antique carpets! Will definitely use them again. read more

My wool rug was picked up , cleaned and returned to my house. It could not have been easier. Great service!

The run has been in my family for 80 years. The color now shows such vibrancy that I think of my youth (I'm 75) as the color shows through. The tassle fringe is white, Always thought it was beige! Jay from Rug masters saved my rug! I had rented a rug doctor machine that didn't work...it didn't suck up water and left pink and red stains. I sent pictures to Jay and he came and picked up my rug....said he would do his best. Indeed he did. It took an extra week and cleaning and now it looks like a brand new rug. I'm so grateful. It wasn't a fancy expensive rug but I loved it and it suits my room and furniture perfectly. read more

I couldn't be happier with the experience I had with Rug Masters. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. They came to my house when they said they would, carefully moved the furniture to pick up my rugs, and treated everything with care. One of my silk rugs had a stubborn coffee stain that I was convinced was permanent, but it came back looking like new--I was genuinely amazed. Every rug was spotless, soft, and vibrant again. They even moved my furniture back into place after returning the rugs, which made the whole process hassle-free for me. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality rug cleaning and exceptional service. read more

Rug Masters did a WONDERFUL job cleaning 5 rugs for my place. They picked up the rugs and delivered them after cleaning (including laying down the rugs and moving furniture). The rugs were about 5 years old -- I didn't even realize how dirty they had gotten, but now, the colors look a lot brighter, the rugs feel softer, and the air in my apartment smells better. Before cleaning, both of these rugs pictured had visible stains, and now they're looking a lot better. Also, the staff were very friendly, communicative, and detail-oriented. The process was easy to drop off the rug and it came back within the time they promised and looked great.

More expensive than other rug cleaners, but a totally different process and great results. Rug gets picked up, taken to their shop, and thoroughly cleaned with ... I don't know how they do it but it's not one of those cheapo rug cleaning machines that leaves soap residue. Rugs looked brand new. Trusted this business with a rug that is special to me and they did a GREAT job! I shopped around and some places quoted me over 1K to clean it, a 9x11 rug. I inquired about a quote online and the owner I texted about details. My rug just had regular wear and some spots, no pet messes. They picked up and delivered it which I thought was great because I didn't want to deal with wrangling it. There wasn't any communication while they had it, but when they returned it, it was perfect. They had even taped the back where some strings were coming loose. All-in-all a great experience and mostly, a great rug cleaning for a FAIR price. I would definitely trust this business again in the future. read more

I'm very pleased with the service we received. A friend spilled some coffee on a white wool rug. I tried many techniques to remove the stain, but to no avail. Rugmasters came when they said they would, picked the rug up, and dropped it off when they were done. The stain is really very faint now, and looks way better than I expected. The entire rug was also cleaned, and it looks good. I would definitely go to them again. Photos attached. read more

I don't know what how they did it, but they did it! I have a silk hand stitched 8 x 10 rug that was extremely expensive. When I bought the rug, I bought a runner to go where my feet planned between the couch and coffee table. After awhile I had this dumb thought that the whole rug around that runner was going to fade so I removed it and then just lived life. Dirty shoes, dirty socks, dirty feet, plates of food that dropped off the table, sticky gooey resin from a bong; you name it and it was on that rug. It got to the point where you couldn't see the pattern am very vibrant. I don't know how they got the stains out but they did and they were extremely efficient at it. I've got a run over there now which you can see at the top of the after picture they will only be removed for guests! And no one wears dirty shoes on this rug! read more

After some time it definitely was looking a bit shabby, and it incurred a chocolate cake stain which never fully came out (there remained a light stain that drove me crazy lol).
