My boyfriend had The Crudy and I got the Rude Dude with pickles along with a small poutine to share. I loved the classic poutine, you can't go wrong with it. The gravy was delicious and there was a good amount of cheese curds. My burger was pretty good, the veggies inside tasted fresh. I enjoyed my patty, it had crispy and slightly smoky edges. It had all the components of a good burger done right for me. And lastly, I got us the Banana Pudding for dessert. One thing about me, I love Banana Pudding and I will never turn some down. And honestly, it was wonderful. The dessert was rich, you had to dig in there to get the perfect balance of banana, cream, and the wafers. But every bite of that dessert was delicious and worth it. Overall, this place was a 4/5 for me and we'd come back again.

It was one of many businesses that got me through this weird, uncertain time. For the last few months, I got myself reacquainted with Aurora. Well over a decade ago, I frequented Aurora often. I'm not sure why I stopped visiting, but it has been great returning every few weeks. While rediscovering Aurora, I have noticed this Rudy for a while. It used to be a Starbucks that I frequented often back in the day. It's also nearby a Gong Cha that I love. A couple Saturdays ago, after running a bunch of errands, I felt like lunch. I remembered this place and drove up the 404 to get here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at roughly 3 pm. I parked and walked in. I needed to use the washroom, so I made a left to use it. There are two single stalls. The door handle tells you whether it's vacant or occupied. The one that I used before and after my meal was clean. I headed over to the counter to place my order. I got Sarah, who was super patient and friendly. I looked at the combos menu. I went with the rude dude combo. The rude dude is a double cheeseburger. I got it with bacon, which meant that my burger was tattooed. I liked that I got a small poutine as the side because the poutine at Rudy's is excellent. I also got a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. She let me know when my food was ready. I found a table by the wall with windows. I filled my cup with ice and Diet Coke. It was so refreshing. I went back to refill my cup because I needed more of it to wash my food down. It is drafty in this eatery. Most folks had their coats and jackets on. There was a heater in the corner, which did little to heat the entire eatery. I looked at my receipt. Sarah had asked for my name. It was Marrie on the receipt. Close enough! My order was number 71. I thought that I'd hear the number called out and fetch my order. Nope. Sarah brought my food over on a tray. So nice! I thanked her and went to town eating my late lunch. My rude dude burger tasted yummy and fresh. I loved the buttery leafy lettuce, juicy sliced tomatoes, two slices of cheese, sauce, and bacon. The two smashed beef patties were flavourful and perfectly grilled. The bun was soft and held everything together. I loved being reunited with this burger! The poutine was excellent. The gravy was perfect to melt the cheese curds. The fries were perfection. It is the perfect side with the rude dude. I love that this Rudy location is in Aurora. I'll be back again for more good eats. (502)

Fries. The Good Shake was really good - thick and delicious. Nice straw too. (The "bubble tea" kind.) I liked the Gladiator "sauce". Good amount of onions - fair sized tomato. The Bad Burger was not tasty. Middling at best. Lacked any "Mmmm ... now this is a tasty burger." The fries were underwhelming (I threw out the last one ...). Could be how it was cooked - not a tasty. It has that "skin on" look - whether they cut their own or get them that way don't know. But just were average. (The ketchup did have a factor) The Ugly If you want to be a player with the big dogs, you need to spend money. Whether it is this location or all Gladiator's I don't know. By providing "mediocre" ketchup, negatively impacted my experience. "Ventura Foods" ketchup is garbage. And what I found really funny - you supply "HEINZ MAYO". And I am not married to Heinz - but Ventura is low end. I am not spending $22 for a meal and using low end ketchup.

We ordered: - a bacon cheeseburger - a cheeseburger - a little bacon cheeseburger - poutine - an order of regular fries While we waited we grabbed some of the free peanuts and ate them. Be careful if you have kids with allergies because there's probably peanut dust all over the place. The burgers were a good size. The regulars have two patties while the little ones have just one beef patty. The fries were hot and fresh. We got some of the Cajun spice on the side so we were able to try it with and without. I prefer it without the Cajun spice. The poutine was good, although it could use a bit more cheese and gravy. We were gonna get a shake after we ate but we were so stuffed. We'll have to go back and try all the crazy shakes that they have. I ordered the burger "all the way," which is ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms, and I got some jalapenos on the side. But you can choose your own toppings. Service was fast and lots of parking in the plaza. Overall really good experience, would probably go back, definitely gonna try the milkshakes next time and save space.

I found out that Harvey's has a deal with its original beef and veggie burgers. You can get two for $8. If you want to mix and match them, it all works. I had no idea where the nearest Harvey's was from the borders of Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham. I did a search and realized that there's this one further south on Victoria Park, before you hit highway 401. It's funny. I have blown past this location many times. I've never stopped by. I also knew that there was an Chinese grocery store in the same plaza. Here's to another cool stop at two stores that I needed. The drive down was smooth. It took perhaps ten minutes. I had to make a left turn into the plaza. It took a bit of time, but I eventually made a safe turn. I did grocery shopping first. I had backed into a spot that directly faced the drive-thru, steps away from the grocery store's entrance. When I was done, I simply drove straight ahead to place my order at the drive-thru. I had a nice woman on the other end taking my order. I ordered two original beef burgers. I went with my standard toppings on both: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and relish. She was so friendly. There was a bit of a wait, but I didn't mind. This Harvey's is also a Swiss Chalet. Excellent! I was drooling looking at the poutine on the menu. I love poutine. Harvey's does poutine well. I paid with a debit card. The woman had the payment machine taped to a hockey stick. Love! The transaction was smooth. I wonder if that hockey stick is ever used on deadbeat customers who don't pay. Hmm... I got my food in a paper bag. I thanked her and left. When I got home, I had my food. I loved the original burger. It was the right size. The flame-broiled beef patty was yummy. The toppings were perfect. I was a bit rusty and realized that my usual mayo is garlic mayo. These burgers hit the spot for dinner. The next day, I returned for the same deal. Yep, I was back less than 24 hours later. Instead, I got original and veggie burgers. With the latter, you have the option of getting a regular or multigrain bun. I had never had the multigrain bun before, so I chose it. The veggie burger is pretty good here. It tastes like a regular beef patty. It wasn't dry. It had good flavour. I'd do it again. The multigrain bun made me feel like I was eating healthier... haha! I went with garlic mayo, along with lettuce, tomatoes, and relish. Both burgers tasted much better. Garlic is everything. I dig this Harvey's. I need to get poutine next time, but I keep dreaming about this burger deal. Maybe when it's gone, I'll get the poutine. The woman who took my order during my second visit as equally as pleasant and nice as the woman from the previous night. Staff are awesome. I appreciated it. I'll be back. I'll try to not eat here every day. (13)
