finally in the unionville area to try super smash! It has been on my list to try for a long time, i was looking at a couple reviews on google and was a bit hesitant to try. I got the super smash burger and it was simple but super delicious! with the classic ingredients like lettuce, tomato, cheese. The patty was very well cooked and very juicy, not dry at all! The smash burger sauce was delicious and creamy. I just didn't like how the bun was cold. The food did take a while to come but it was all coming fresh! The crinkle fries and poutine were super hot. With white and blue interior, a few tables with a old school diner this is definitely a gem to the GTA. The restaurant has both high top and regular seating available and a bathroom in the back and has a super intimate vibe. There's street parking available as well but it's slightly limited. I ordered for pickup through the Uber Eats app, which was marked up quite a bit compared to when I saw the prices in store, but there was no other option for pickup through the store directly. For what it was, it was quite standard of a smash burger. The sauce and lettuce added to it was tasty and I'm thankful they listened to my request to cut it in half. I finally tried Super Smash Burgs after all these years living in the neighbourhood, and I have been missing out! They put a special sauce on the burger that is so flavourful. The chocolate shake was perfectly chilled for the hot weather. The poutine also looks good here too, and is next on my list to try next time I go! The restaurant has a cool aesthetic to it, but is a bit tight for space around the counter. Overall though, this is the perfect spot to stop by for a bite to eat if you're in the Markham Village area. read more

The wall paintings here are really cool, if you are a fan of Super Smash Bros you'll love the decor of this place! Unfortunately, being an establishment on Main Street, there isn't much room to sit down since it's always so busy, we ended up having to wait for a table at the outside space behind the restaurant. We also had to wait a bit for our meal since it was so busy, but this is not a fast food burger joint so it's reasonable. They did bring us the food to our table though. We tried the Classic Smash, Oklahoma Smash, and a side of crinkle fries. Both burgers were excellent and flavourful. The crispy edges around the patty are the best part. I haven't had many smash burgers before, but I am definitely a fan of these. I'd recommend to get at least two patties to get the most out of your burger! Fries are probably your typical frozen variety, but they were still enjoyable. They also have a ton of unique sodas that I've never seen before! I didn't end up trying any but I'll be grabbing one next time. Super cool to have that, definitely adds to the vibe of the place. Came here for some dinner tonight. Saw this place for a while now and have been wanting to try it. They have been open for about 3 months now. The staff here are really nice. They are helpful with ordering and are open to giving suggestions. There is about 4 different variations of the burger on the menu. Difference between the regular and the super from what I can tell was lettuce and tomato for $0.50 more. I ordered a double of the Oklahoma I believe it was called. Can make it a combo for +$5 (drink and fries) then paid another +$2 to make it a poutine. The burger was the highlight, I mean it is a burger place. I liked the bun. My friend i dined with described it almost like a marshmallow. Was soft and very fluffy with a little tougher exterior. I ordered a double patty (extra $3.50 per patty). Burger was super tasty, their smash sauce was good but think I will ask for less next time to make it a bit less messy. Poutine was a bit disappointing, but kind of reminded me of my high school cafe fries. Probably could have done without the fries but still giving the place a 4 star cause of the people and the burger was good. The drinks are really cool too. They have all these varieties of pop, I had some pineapple 7up and my friend had a peach flavour Crush. There was a lot of interesting sodas to try. I think that made the $5 making it a combo more worth it. The wall decor is really nice. Walls are painted with lots of fun images. Seating is kinda like a diner style, padded benches , chairs and some nar stool style by the window. I would go back for a burger. I will start off by saying that I don't understand why businesses don't put their telephone numbers on their own website. I know that I can order through UberEats or another food order/delivery service, but if i'm picking up, I prefer to order direct through the business so they get the full dollar amount for the food. Super Smash Burgs don't list their telephone number on their website, so I had to find their telephone number on Google. Not hard to do, but just another step since i was looking on their webpage for the menu. Burger option wise, I believe theres only 4 options. I was in a rush to order to get the kids fed and to hockey, so quick glance, the burger options all look very similar. Each burger option, you get a choice to pick single, double or triple patty. We ordered a single classic, single super smash, and double super smash, and a super fries. Order was ready for pickup in about 15 mins so definitely fulfilled the quick lunch request. Burgers all had a lot of toppings, lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes. Bun was very nice, super soft, and held up surprisingly well considering the burgers loaded with sauce. Note on the sauce, i found it overly sweet, so I wasn't a fan, but that's personal preference, because seems like lots of people enjoy it based on reviews. Burger patties were definitely smashed, very thin. I feel like they were overcooked because they were quite dry. It was saved with the tons of sauce in the burger. Super fries, were essentially a burger without the bun, replaced with crinkle cut fries. Fries were regular frozen crinkle fries. I feel like they could be better. Overall ok..... wasn't amazing. I couldn't have been more thrilled when I saw their sign go up in 2023. I mean come on, who doesn't love smash burgers!? Our visit was in 2023 within a month of this location opening. Hubby and I were on Main Street heading home from grocery shopping. We noticed that they were finally open. A bit surprised that we hadn't heard anything about a soft-opening or grand opening. The space is very nice inside - clean and a good amount of seating. The menu is very small and limited to options. I found that there was not much variety between any of the burgers and toppings offered. I was hoping for onion rings or poutine, those are not on the menu. We decided to share a burger as it was our first visit. We ordered a Double Super Smash Burger: Potato Bun, American Cheese, Carmelized onions, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato & Smash Sauce to go. We asked them to hold the pickles and asked for the Smash Sauce on the side, so we could add as much or as little as we wanted. Plus we ordered 1 order of crinkle fries and 1 order of regular fries. When we got home, we noticed that they had charged us, but had not given us one order of the fries. The burger was VERY dry and completely lacking in any flavour except for the Smash Sauce that we had specifically asked for on the side. Oh and they left the pickles on, we specifically asked for no pickles. We tried calling for over 40 minutes and nobody answered the phone. We let it go as we were expecting friends over for coffee/dessert, but tried calling again later in the day. Still no answer, nobody ever picked up. It wasn't even busy when we went there, so very surprised over this. The phone just kept ringing and ringing. I would have included photos of the burger, but we were so disappointed after 1 bite each we tossed the burger in the garbage. Not seeing any changes to their menu or any new items, so I doubt I will go back. The fries, honestly, if you're going to sell smash burgers, the only fries that can accompany a smash burger is fresh cut fries, NOT frozen. That was a HUGE miss for me with the crinkle cut. Can't tell you how the regular fries were because we paid for them, but they were missing from our order. My spouse and I stopped in for lunch during a weekday. This was my first visit and I was looking forward to a burger following positive reviews from family members. I had the Super Smash and comboed it up with regular fries and a drink from the cooler. The burger was very good, it was certainly one of my first smash style burgers in recent memories and I liked how it came out. Along with the burger patty the lettuce and tomatoes seemed very fresh and the smash sauce was a good accompaniment. Well done. The fries were merely meh. Clearly these started as frozen and while plentiful they are somewhat on the bland side. Fresh cut fries would be a more suitable pairing for the burger. Milkshakes are shown as 'coming soon'. Please make this happen ASAP, canned pop is okay but a good milkshake (and better fries) would absolutely elevate the entire meal experience. About the service and the shop itself. Orders are placed at the counter and the burger is cooked fresh and delivered to your table. Customers obtain their own drinks from the drink cooler and there are condiments on the table. Oh, it would be nice to have vinegar; better yet, malt vinegar, available . The premises is on the smallish side with seating for somewhere around a twenty at tables and a counter in the front of the house. There may be additional seating past the order counter/kitchen but I didn't look. Lastly, service speed seemed appropriate for a fresh cooked burger. Wanna smash? A neighbourhood burger joint that serves smashed burgers. A small shop with a very blue interior. There are seats for dining in and in the back there's also patio seating available. Head inside and order at the cashier, when it gets busy that area is a little packed and makes it kind of hard to walk to the patio at the back. Partial self-serve restaurant, grab your own drinks from the fridge and they will bring your order out to you when ready. There seemed to be a soft serve ice cream machine in the kitchen but it was not in service yet. The menu is simple: three types of burgers, three types of fries and three choices in the number of patties. I was debating between 3 or 4 stars, in my opinion they're about 3.5 stars. The bun was soft and fluffy but was still able to hold up the whole burger. The smashed burgers are good, it has a smokey grill flavour and even though the patties are thin they are still juicy. The caramelized onion and smashed sauce was good but there wasn't enough for the entire burger. It was more concentrated in the centre so the edges were kind of lacking depth of flavour. The burger tasted good but also kind of felt plain at the same time. The fries were average, just tasted like deep fried frozen grocery store fries. Overall, would be back for another smash burger in the future and to try a milkshake (not available yet). Simple done right but does lack a bit of variety. read more

Decided to check this new burger joint on the block.. Great signage out front and the decor inside is well lit and has tons of cool art.. especially in the washrooms lol. Seating is quite limited inside the establishment , but thankfully they have an outdoor patio space with lots of seating. the outdoor seating was crucial because with so many patrons inside , even with a decent AC system - with so many people packed inside a small dining space - it can feel too warm inside - workers often have to go outside to cool down to escape the kitchen heat. service was adequate - take your order up front & they bring your food to where you are seated, except they could improve the system somehow , because every order that comes out , they don't know where the food goes, they have to ask every single table if the food is theirs. & Don't forget to grab your Cutlery & condiments located near the pay station because they won't put it on the tray for you when the food comes out ! The important thing is the food: the price of the food is acceptable and decently priced... however ... PROS: burgers - the smash patty they use has a good texture & the portion for a double is really filling. the drink selection they have is probably the most unique since they offer the usual suspects of sodas but they also have the rarer limited edition type of drinks you won't find anywhere else except at specialty stores. CONS: the smash patty is OVER SEASONED & SUPER SALTY !! some would say they have a SALT BAE working in the kitchen !! they need to ease up on the salt also the fries are also NOTHING SPECIAL & they are also over seasoned & SUPER SALTY . portions on fries could be better- also if you buy a combo with fries and drink - ** you cannot upgrade your fries to super fries with toppings. When I saw this place I knew I'd have to try it. Burgers are my thing, and if they're smashed? All the better. This place has a nice tight menu, with smash burgers and fries and not too much else. This spot is super cute and modern inside, with lots of spots to sit and eat in. The burger with a single patty was $9, and it was nice and big. Patty had a decent crust on it too. While the bun was super soft and fluffy, I found that it overpowered the taste and I didn't really taste the burger if I'm honest. Don't get me wrong - the flavour was good, but I would've enjoyed a meatier experience. I got the loaded fries and they were tasty...a touch too expensive though. I know prices for everything have gone up these days, but if they were a few bucks less I would be more enthusiastic about ordering them again. I do want to try the crinkle cuts so I will be back! We got the Super Smash Burger Double Patty-$12.5 where it comes with its pre-set toppings. Also got their Oklahoma Smash Burger- $12.5 with pre-set toppings as well. Between the two, the oklahoma stands out more. Its good, but a bit on the dry side and we felt 'Burger Drop' stood out more. I'm giving this place 4 stars because of their burgers, they are super juicy and flavourful. To achieve 5-stars, I think they could have better buns (possibly even make it in-house), thought they were too soft. The interior design is super nice, really gives off the ambience of a retro spot. Even though staff told us it would take 30 minutes for the burgers (which is pretty long), they managed to deliver the order in 20 minutes. For me, the main criticism falls on the poutine. They must have pulled the cheese curds right out of the freezer because they were still cold. Fries were lukewarm at best, and honestly tasted awful. I'd probably compare their poutine to Michelina's (yes, the microwavable). I hope this was just a one-off experience, because it really made our visit less enjoyable. Overall, I'd come back for the burgers and would love to see if they add other drink items like a milk shake. I don't think I'd ever order fries from this establishment again and advise the owner to audit those orders (please just take out the poutine if you can't ensure they are served hot). read more
