My drink was never empty and she recommended the apple crisp dessert which was delicious. Please check them out and if you could ask for Kaley. Terrible. I placed an order online June 9, 2019. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye with a baked potato and a Caesar salad and a grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and dirty rice. The grilled salmon I'm not complaining about it's was pretty good. It's the 12oz ribeye I had a problem with. I ordered it medium well and I received well done. I also noticed that my steak was small and thin as well full of fat! This is quite disappointing since it did cost $20. I will not be coming back to this location! read more

How is this dump still in business???!!! Some friends and I went last night ONLY because it's the only place that serves booze in Sanford on a Sunday night. Honestly, we should have just brown bagged it outside of a decent restaurant instead. First off, our waiter had a kind heart but being a waiter was not his forte. I had wanted to get the salad bar because I figured, "How can a fresh salad bar be bad", right?! But after I saw how dirty the place was, not to mention the smell (I'm pregnant by the way), I decided it wasn't worth the risk to my fetus of possibly eating lettuce that wasn't washed properly or prepared by dirty hands. I went for something deep fried instead. Can't go wrong with buffalo chicken tenders right? Wrong! The breading was all mushy, almost as if the oil they fried it in was not hot enough. Gross! Also, we asked what the queso dip was and the waiter explained that it was a blend of 3 cheeses with peppers in it. We thought 'okay' and ordered it. It ended up being cheese soup pretty much with spinach and pinmentos in it! The only 3 cheeses I could have guessed it was made of was generic velvetta, cheez-wiz and EZ cheese. Oh, and the chips were extremely stale. Thankfully, our waiter took the queso and chips off of our bill. The only good thing that I tasted was the Thai Phoon shrimp. They were crispy, spicy and good. Still somewhat new to the area and haven't had the best luck with dining out. Tried Ruby Tuesday today and easily had the best experience to date! From being greeted and seated by the polite and friendly young man to our server Dustin, who was awesome! Friendly and attentive, but not annoying at all! The salad bar was incredible! The burger I had was cooked perfectly! The other side of the table had a chicken dish, that was delicious as well! We will definitely be back to try other dishes! read more

Service was mediocre at best. I have been delighted by Ruby Tuesday experiences elsewhere and am honestly shocked at the lack of competence within this location's employees. Our order was so simple; garden bar with a side of chicken. I asked how much the chicken would be and was told 4oz (which translates to $4.99). Both my partner and myself ordered the same thing, though our portion sizes of chicken varied by over half. In addition, one was served hot and one was served cold. The waitress never mentioned this at all, when the dish is actually supposed to be served cold. It was quite obvious that they had to prepare the latter on the spot as it had less than 2oz of chicken and was served warm. While I would rather have the dish warm to begin with, it is different than the menu and is subpar for the cost and expectation to serve a customer less than half of the advertised portion size. Furthermore, when a customer requests to add chicken and points out how the chicken was subpar when served, perhaps the best option would not to be to again charge them $4.99 for yet another subpar product. My husband I went today and we ordered the pulled pork appetizers and the salad bar. We finished our salads and the waitress came by and told us that she had checked on our order and the cook told her he was busy! She told us there was a party going on. We waited another 15 minutes. We finally had to seek out the hostess to find the waitress to request our check. She came and told us that she was sorry that the manager was cooking too and to not blame her and she ran off. We paid for our salads and drinks and left. This place was never stellar for service, but this visit was the epitome of bad service! read more

After church one Sunday afternoon, me, my mom, and her boyfriend went to eat at Ruby Tuesday in Sanford, NC. My mom ordered the bacon cheese pretzel burger, and her boyfriend did the same. Her burger came out with mold on top of the burger bun. The manager came by and apologized and assured that my moms boyfriends bun was fine because he claimed that all the burger buns were wrapped individually. They brought my mom out another burger and the bun was fine, but her boyfriends after looking at it carefully also had mold on the bottom of his bun. We told our waitress and the manager didn't even have the decency to come back to our table and apologize, he avoided us. The food isn't that good and the service isn't great. They served me a left over hamburger that someone had already drenched with mustard and ketchup. Mustard was literally dripping out of the bun. They offered to re-bun the burger, and I asked for a fresh burger with no mustard or ketchup. They took it to the back and brought it back out, still covered in mustard, and I refused it. They still charged me for the burger although I didn't eat it. I'll never go back there again. read more

Ruby Tuesday's normally gives a premium feel with atmosphere and great food. Some might even say higher level of elegance. I recently ate there yesterday while my car was being maintenance at Sanford Honda across the street. As I walk up I noticed a foul smell of grease. A cone was on the sidewalk I guess to notify customers of greasy sidewalk. I made my way to the door and could not help but notice that the cigarette tube had cigarettes hanging out of the top and overflowing. I walk in the server seats me fast and with a friendly attitude. I sit down and my waitress stop and asks me for drink order, comes back with drink quickly and takes my food order. I order the New Orleans Seafood. Tilapia with shrimp with two sides. I opted to get the garden bar for one of my sides as well as mashed potatoes. Garden bar was ok but a little messy. I noticed some items looked like they have been out for awhile. Ok not good nor great. Waitress comes back with my food as about 5 minutes after I get back from the salad bar. There was hardly any customers in there so I didn't think anything of it. Keep in mind it is 12pm on a Friday and no one is in here. Look at my plate and now understand why it was so quick. Mashed potatoes were more like soup and seafood had grease rolling off of it. I gave one star due to the waitress was nice. As I was leaving, I noticed that other staff, including what looked like management, would rather hangout by the first door instead on making sure customers were taken care of or outside appearance was nice or as a manager, checking the food that is coming out of the kitchen. The food here is normally decent, though they have no idea how to cook a steak or how to properly season food, but my biggest issue is that the staff here has a serious problem with good customer service and a friendly attitude and the problem ranges all the way from the hostesses to the management. I have eaten at this location before. So, after several bad occasions, I had not eaten here for a whole year. I decided to give it another chance. I waited and saved my hunger for a delicious Ruby Tuesday late lunch/ early dinner steak. HUGE MISTAKE! After placing my order for steak, which had been the problem the last several times, I stepped up to the salad bar after the waitress' encouragement. Not only did the lettuce choices look like they had been browning and already a week old, but the vent above designed to airrate the veggies was covered in mold and dripping moldy water onto all the salad and fixings below. I brought it to the waitress attention, who just said, oh. Then I asked for the manager who did nothing. At that point I asked for my order to be cancelled. This was not only disgusting, but also disappointing that the management did nothing to improve from my last poor experiences and actually got worse. read more

This restaurant sucks. The menu is limited. The service is beyond terrible. Waiting 30 minutes for your drink is not acceptable. I went at 4:30 pm on a Thursday. It was not packed and there was no need to have such a terrible dining experience. The menu is very limited. The chicken tenders are worse than Hardees, Bojangles, or KFC. I walked out. Didn't even sit down. First thing I notice the salad bar. Totally disgusting. It looked like a starving football team went through it. Almost every bowl was either totally empty or almost empty. There was food on the floor, in the ice and mixed together on the salad bar. It was so disgusting I decided before I even sat down that I wouldn't be ordering salad. As I am being walked to my table, I noticed several tables that needed to be wiped off and food on the floor all over the place. The waiter lead me to a booth and it was nasty. The seats were ripped, there was food on the floor, on the seats and on the table. I didn't even sit down...I walked out.
