Just went there with the wife for their brunch buffet, and man did it suck major balls. No bacon. None. And not because they were out either. But because they said bacon is too expensive, so they just serve sausage and meatballs. I went through and EVERYTHING looked old and nasty. You'd get a better brunch at a crap hotel, like Super 8. We've been to this place for soup and salad, and they rock at that, but as for brunch? Hell no. It's all garbage. I brought an empty plate back to my table and asked for the check. Told her "I'm not eating here." The check came back. Now my wife had just one plate of buffet food, and said it was disgusting. So, for that one little plate and 2 sodas, it cost us $30 with tip. From a kids point of view, my whole family absolutely loved it. They had a salad bar which we greatly enjoyed. Even though my sister and my dad were the only ones who payed for the salad bar, I snuck a few bites off of my sister's plate. But don't worry, my dad left a bigger tip! read more

The food is good. But one thing has stood out, they NEVER give you time to eat your salad. I go out to eat quite often and this is a problem at quite a few places. Ruby Tuesday has a good salad bar.but as soon as I get to eating my salad my entrée arrives. This has happened several times. I've even considered telling the waiter his tip will be tied to the appropriate timing of the entrée service. Because it is. Came here looking salad and it did not disappoint. The salad bar is stocked with the usual items and it was fresh. The lettuce was crisp, and the toppings looked and tasted fresh. The wait staff was also good but it took a little while at the end to flag someone down to get the check. Overall, it did exactly what I needed, some fresh veggies! read more

Came in Wednesday to eat and had a terrible experience. Had to hear your manager Josh yelling at an employee in front of us costumers!? I didn't go out to eat somewhere I thought was nice...just to see you abusing the people you employ. We went in for an early dinner. When we were seated there was one other family in that section. There were plenty of employees, all cleaning tables, sweeping floors, cleaning the door and window into the kitchen...but NOT ONE OF THEM GREETED US, GAVE US A MENU OR ASKED IF WE WANTED ANYTHING TO DRINK. Finally I asked a young employee if we could possibly get a waiter or waitress. She then went and talked to a gentleman named Adam and he finally came over and asked if we wanted anything to drink. After that the young women came back to take our order...I ordered the pork chop and was then told they didn't have any pork chops, so I ordered something else. There were 3 of us and we all ordered salads so off we went to the salad bar. To make this ordeal worse....WE HAD TO TAKE OUR PLACE SETTINGS FROM ANOTHER TABLE, WE WERE NEVER GIVEN ANY!!! After our meal came the bill...we waited and waited for Adam to come back so we could pay the bill...he didn't come so we went to the bar to pay it...Adam then showed up. The ONLY nice thing about this awful experience was that my husband was given a Military discount without asking. My opinion...the manager needs to let his employees know that without good service they wouldn't have a job. I am so not impressed with this place. Although the food is wonderful, the attitude of the staff spoils the experience. We have been there a few times lately and I wish I could tip the kitchen staff--they deserve the tip far more that the wait staff do. And when I mentioned that the latches on the restroom stalls are either so loose they won't function, or are not there at all, which means anyone who comes in the restroom gets to watch you do your business, I just got excuses and snippy responses. THere is no excuse for lousy, basic maintenance. Period. When the door naturally swings open due to gravity, this is awful.The employees just seem to treat the customers as though they are imposing. Having just learned of the death of my mother, I flew to South Dakota and stayed for 4 days at the Comfort Inn next door to Ruby Tuesday. The first night we were there it was late and they said they were out of the house cabernet that was on special for $3 for the time of night. They said they were out. So we could either order the Josh Cab for $10 or the Merlot for $8. We purchased a couple glasses of the merlot and then a bottle to take to our room. The server, Elizabeth was very nice. Two nights later, we returned after another long day of dealing with my mom's arrangements. We asked again for the Happy Hour Cabernet. They (not Elizabeth as she was off) again informed us that they were out and we could purchase the Josh Cabernet or the Merlot. My husband found this same sequence of events odd and asked to speak to the manager. The manager said they were out and my husband inquired as to how that could be and would they offer another wine for the same price. He said no. My husband said well we can leave then, and he said that was our choice. As we got up the manager said we were already getting a good deal on the other glasses of wine mentioned. I asked him what he meant by that as we were walking out and he started telling us to get the heck out of the restaurant, and he did not owe anything to us. He was extremely rude and his employees look mortified. He threatened to call the police because I again asked him what he meant by getting a good deal as he had offered nothing for us to stay and have dinner. He was so loud and rude! Very unprofessional. Then he accused by husband of swearing at him. We left and I called the restaurant to find out his name. The employee kind of laughed because he knew who I was. He said, "Oh yah, that guy, yup!! He happily supplied his name, and said it was DREW JENKINS!! I am originally from Rapid City and will be back several times in the next 2 months to deal with my mom's personal situation. She and my family know many people in Rapid City and I will continue to tell everyone the horrible experience of this poor manager and his very poor people skills. It is proof that you can give a person a title, but do they deserve that title and do they have the skill set to carry that title? Definitely not in the case of Drew Jenkins. read more

The only saving grace about this place was the salad bar as it was half way decent with several good options to build your own. The spicy fish tacos were gross: very bland fish with no spice whatsoever with sour cream and salsa that tasted funny. The shell was very stale and hard. I purchased a Fat Tire 16 oz while waiting for a cheese burger to go. I came to RT because we are weekly visitors in the Beaverton OR location. This was the worst burger I have ever received!!! The bun was very hard. I ordered the burger medium and it was VERY pink. The service was average. I would have brought it back but I was exhausted and my hotel was 9 miles away. I placed a take out order today. It wasn't ready when I picked it up but I didn't have to wait too long for my order. I was kindly greeted by Amy and while waiting for my order for only a short period, Drew the manager came out to apologize about the wait. Drew and Amy were very kind and apologetic. Drew even gave me a gift card for my wait which I thought was very kind. I was truly impressed by the great customer service shown to my by Drew the manager as well as Amy and greatly appreciative for the gift card that I hadn't even expected. They are absolutely awesome. Awful, just awful. Server didn't know a simple beer wasn't on tap. Didn't bring water that was ordered with bottled beer. Served my husbands steak without it cooked on one side. Spilled a drink on my daughter, and got a rag, but never offered us more napkins. Never got a refill, was never offered a refill. The worst part was the salad bar attendant. She was cleaning up an apple salad that had spilled over the dish with her hand (gloved, but not sure if glove was clean) and put the spilled food back in salad to be served. For a delicious meal and excellent service I must give this Ruby Tuesday 5 stars. I just happened to go here to Ruby Tuesday tonight for a fine dinner with my friends. First I must start with the environment, as soon as I, along with my peers, had entered the restaurant from the bitter cold we were greeted by a grinning group of waiters, completely ready to give us the Ruby Tuesday experience we had shown up for. The food, second of all, was absolutely delicious. The biscuits, oh my god the biscuits, they were so good that I had eaten more biscuits than my dinner alone. And third of all the service was fantastic. I am speechless as to how great the service was. I, along with my buds, are sure to one day (keep in mind this day will be very soon) return for another astronomical experience that will both renew our long wait to fill our faces with biscuits and flabbergastingly excellent service. read more

It was pretty good. My sister and I both got steaks, which were really good. We tried to sign my brother in law up for the birthday program since it was his birthday and I got an email, but not a coupon, so it didn't work. The waitress tried to help, but when she couldn't she brought a manager to help out, but he came over and talked rather loudly (embarassing) and didn't end up giving him a free birthday meal. We recently took our family here to celebrate a birthday. Our daughter (21), our son (17) and our son-in-law (24) all ordered the pretzel burger. They all thought they were good (although a bit greasy) but all ended up with upset stomachs and diarrhea by midnight that same night. That is not the major complaint though - when we called the next day to let them know that their burger made everyone sick we were totally blown off by the assistant manager. Rather than showing a bit of empathy and assuring us he would make sure all of the meat was up to standard and that the work areas are clean and up to code he proceeded to argue with us telling us that there was no possible way their food made them sick. He just kept insisting that he was certified by the state in food preparation and that according to that class and his "doctor friend" it takes longer than 6 hours to make a person sick. I personally have had food poisoning from bad salad dressing.....I was on my knees sicker than anything within 2 hours. The attitude of this assistant manager and his audacity to try and pass the buck totally turned us off to this restaurant. We didn't call them asking for anything - just wanted to make them aware of the situation. His lack of customer service was a total turn off and we will not be returning to this restaurant. I wish I didn't even have to choose a star. I've been to Rubys 3 times and today was my first time in over a year because the experience I had the time before. Once again just horrible service, and food. I asked to speak with a manager and the waiter didn't even get him/her for me. Mandy was her name. She never checked up on us when we got our food, then when she did she brought a box and our bill. At that point in time I just paid for the bill and left. The work attire and staff are not up to par with most restaurants in town. Just plain horrible. Rubys has officially lost my business. read more
