We don't have a Pizza Ranch in Alabama so when I'd saw the restaurant, my curiosity caught my eye. Didn't realize this restaurant is a buffet until after arriving, but since I was ordering fresh pizza, it didn't bother me. My first visit, I ended up getting a small supreme pizza which was good except not filling enough. My second visit, I went with a medium stuffed crust pepperoni and pineapple pizza and it was good, but I'd noticed the pizza were cut into small slices which they must do with all there pizza. I had low expectations for this place but it was freaking awesome. A pizza buffet?! The pizza was surprisingly so good and you could eat as much as you'd like! I loved the soft serve here too. While entrance doors are not equipped with automatic door openers, there is usually so much customer traffic that arriving or departing customers are likely to open doors for you. Employees inside are alert to helping wheelchair customers to the buffet and carry your plates to your table. Diane prepared my plates and carried them to my table, where she removed chairs for my power wheelchair. Access to the elevated sidewalk is by several ramps. (Restrooms were not visited to assess ADA accessibility standards.) This restaurant is very wheelchair friendly. AND Pizza Ranch's fried chicken is really the best ever (tender & juicy with a crackling crust)! On next visit: five stars if restrooms are ADA compliant. read more

We went there on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 7.25 (the .25 was an infant lol). Larger tables were all taken, so we sat across from each other at 2 tables with 4 each. This was our first visit and we'll be back. The food was tasty, hot and fresh pizza, pasta, and cold salad bar, good choice of fountain drinks - all at a great price. It's a better deal to eat here than ordering one pizza at any pizza joint and this place makes really good pizzas and dessert pizzas. We came from an area that had Sweet Tomato buffets, sadly they are all closed because of 2020 economy, so it was great to get out at a buffet, enjoy great food, service, and visit with people. When you enter the restaurant you pay at the register, then head to any table and then to the food stations. It's not as big as a sweet tomatoes and there's no soup, but we liked the food and quick service for clearing the tables and plates so we could enjoy more! The brownie "pizza" is a pizza shape but your basic brownie, very good. They also have ice cream, and another customer suggested making an ice cream float ha! There is another Pizza Ranch at the south end of Rapid City, we'll check that one out also. Since being here we've ordered pizza from a regular pizza place and it was good but for the price of a 2 topping med pizza ($10 with disc) you can get a whole meal/buffet for $11.79 and extra for drinks. They have coupons on their website, there's also a rewards program, oh and they got fried chicken that everyone seemed to enjoy, I didn't have any. I really liked the vegetarian pizza, and the pasta sauce was perfect with the pasta - I liked that it was served separately so I didn't have to worry about too much sauce and I didn't have to think about cheese. Clean restaurant, reasonable prices, delicious food, helpful employees. Big selection of pizza all were delicious. Salad was a iceberg lettuce mix so it was ok. They had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a few other options other than pizza. Farley large fountain drink selection. A few different dessert pizza's as well as Ice cream. Bathrooms were not the cleanest. Overall I will definitely recommend this restaurant and go here again. We ordered to pick up at 6:13 The app said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I thought that was quick so I called the store to confirm. The girl on the phone said 15 minutes. We waited at the motel for 15 minutes and then went to pick up dinner. When we got there the girl checked on the order and said it would be just a few minutes. 11 minutes after that t she can back and said they were waiting on a pizza. The gal at the till said she would check after another 5 minutes or so past and came back and said they were waiting on the pizza. It finally came out and I asked if the sour cream made it into the bag she was snotty and said the dipping sauces were in the bag. I said the sour cream was not on the dipping sauces so I asked for them when I came in. She said there would be extra charge for the sour cream I then admittedly upset said she should not charge because they were so late. She said ok but that she did apologize and she was only human. She went back to get the sour cream. I turned to my husband and said really they were going to charge me when they were now over 20 minutes late? The other elderly lady at the til stopped helping the people glared at me and then said she apologized!! I said she did but she needed to keep helping the people at the till thus was none of her business. My friend and I stayed in rapid city for the night and wanted to try a new pizza place so we settled on this one- it was getting late and not much else was open. We got delivery. I ordered a large pepperoni and a small Mac and cheese pizza because I have never been known to dislike a mac and cheese pizza. The M&C pizza was so good! I absolutely loved the flavor and the perfect amount of cheesiness (although my friend wasn't a huge fan). So I scarfed that one down myself with no shame. The pepperoni on the other hand was really basic. No stand-our flavors. Tasted like basic sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and there was no great flavor on the crust either. I'm someone who really enjoys a good pizza crust and this one was about as average as they come. It was surprisingly good (especially the Mac and cheese pizza.) they have thin crust regular crust and skillet crust. If you see a pizza on the menu and want it just go up to The counter and ask. That's what we did for the Mac and Cheese one and I'm glad we did! They also have chicken and mashed potatoes which were fine. The desert pizzas were ok, there was nothing wrong with them but I would have loved to sue something like stickybuns. We've stopped at several of these & they are all pretty similar. Decent but not great pizza, good salad, basic hot foods for those who want something other than pizza and a couple of dessert options. We got here pretty late and were concerned they wouldn't be putting much more pizza out but we were pleasantly surprised. We got our fill and had some variety. The soda machine wasn't the best.. the carbonation wasn't dialed in right. First I thought it was the drink I chose but I tried something else and it was the same thing. A new pie or dish was parading out every minute. Our empty plates were cleared seconds after we abandoned them. The fried chick was amazing, better than KFC IMO. The BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy also were excellent and fresh. The various pizza pies were very good. Try the sweet chili and other unusual flavors, you will be pleasantly surprised. Ok, this was a weird place. It was a clean place and they kept the food coming but the quality was just weird. It wasn't bad, but I've had much better. The pepperoni was super greasy. The cheese pizza was good, the fried chicken was really dry. The mashed potatoes were ok but the gravy was thin. The salad bar was very basic. The dessert pizzas weren't all that great. I love pizza ranch so much. I love how the buffet is not too expensive and you can eat as much food as you want. I don't usually eat dessert, but when I do it's at pizza ranch, because the marbled cookie brownie is the bomb. I don't know if it has crack in it or what but I can eat a whole pan of those by myself plus some. The breadsticks and pizza are well done for pizza and is a pizza lovers dream. read more

Buffet usually means a variety of food options. We were there on a Saturday evening, arriving around 6pm. There was very little pizza available. I mean only a couple slices (at most) were available at any given time. The majority of time the pizza bar was empty, other than bread sticks. The salad bar appeared to be well stocked but this is a pizza place! Even the section with the chicken was constantly out of choices. We waited and even asked when more pizza would be available and were told "probably soon." The dessert pizza sounded good, but those trays were empty too!! We go there often and they have great pizza and fried chicken and a good salad bar. The only reason I did not give them a 5-star rating is that we have been there a few times and had to wait quite a while for the chicken. At times the pizza selection was quite sparse. If you have a favorite type of pizza, you can order it when you come but will have to wait for it. It is for the quantity and choices that we did not give it a 5-star. We were pleasantly surprised with Pizza Ranch! The staff were so nice it was almost creepy. They seemed to genuinely care about how good the pizza was. I say creepy, because there were several reminders on the walls about how the mission is to serve God by serving pizza. Limitless pizza, which at first we thought would equal mediocre food, but in actuality, this pizza was pretty good! Way better than papa johns, or similar delivery options. Theres more than just pizza, but we didn't try any of it. While the pizza selection may seem limited (At any given time there are 5-10 pies available), you can approach any of the staff members and request anything you want! How cool is that? We saw bacon BBQ pizza, California chicken, and many more. My wife is a vegetarian, and within 5-10 minutes, they had a fresh veggie pizza to our table! Make sure you try the cactus bread - it's a desert offering which was beyond amazing. Put some ice cream on top for maximum yum. The only negative thing we found was the limited parking available.
