Where im from Rubys are all extinct so when i was looking for lunch driving through SD i slammed the brakes when i saw an open Rubys! Haha. I loved their salad bar so i had to pop in to see how it was. I got chicken tenders and fries for 15$ then added on the salad bar for $6. The salad bar couldve been better as the cucumbers were a literally soggy pile of mush. I almost mentioned them to the gm/manager as we randomly talked about wrestling but i bit my tongue. Honestly cukes are my favorite part of the salad bar but i just skipped them. The broccoli slaw Rubys still makes was subpar as well. The broccoli had pieces that looked overripe and borderline mushy mixed in with acceptable florets. Overall the salad bar was a 3.5/5 and slightly disappointing. My bartender kept the cola coming and was personable. The chicken tenders were delish and the fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned. I would definitely revisit but if those cukes and broccoli slaw arent improved i might have to mention them. They should be enbarrassed to serve see through liquidy cucumbers in their salad bar.

Always a great salad bar. Ribs are good also. Prices are high, just like other places. No issues here, very clean and service was great. See us on our YouTube channel Coolest Life.

Chicken sandwich with "loaded" tots. Ha nothing loaded about these tots!

In from out of town and I was excited to see a Ruby Tuesday. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I ordered pick up for a specific time, arrived at that time but still had to wait 10 minutes. I can live with that but the food was the big disappointment. The "loaded tots were a joke with almost no cheese on them and what was there was not melted. The chicken sandwich was average at best. Not sure why I had to wait as my food was lukewarm and seemed like it had been sitting in the back. Guess I know why there are none left where I live. Bummer I was looking forward to this!

The food was great and was served quickly, the servers were all friendly and the atmosphere was very calm and ambient. The only little gripe I have is the light fixtures should be cleaned they were dusty and had cobwebs on them over our table. Otherwise love the place.

Really happy we stopped for lunch. Our server Chris was excellent. He was courteous, knowledgeable of the menu, he checked on us throughout the meal. My husband and I split the Chicken Parmesan & Coconut Shrimp (we both had small appetites) Chris recommended it and it was delicious. He also offered a couple other options to make sure we would be full & satisfied. We were!! Even though they were packed the food came out quickly. The restaurant itself is clean and tidy. All the workers smiled and acknowledged us as we walked past them. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for great food, A nice selection of entrees, good size portions at a great price. Spoke with the manager and he was awesome and takes great pride in his employees. Overall a fantastic experience

The conversation.. then they blocked me.

Crazy story.. I asked what happened to my refund on the Rapid City Ruby Tuesday site. I was ignored. The some guy who said his name was Drew, was no longer an manager there. He contacted his buddies who were manager.. and they were going to address it. Well that did not occur. Beware. Horrible food and horrible customer service!

    Deconstructed kabob was delicious!

6 PM on Monday night they ran out of steaks. We ended leaving, of course. Won't go there again if they remain open.

We used to frequent this place like weekly, until they took the cottage cheese off the salad bar. Annoyed my hubby so now we don't visit.

I don't know what it's like when it's busy because on the day we arrived, the entire area was a ghost town. Not even sleepy - no cars on the road and this cafe was even still opening. Walk in, order and find a seat. Not a lot of seating but there's both indoors and out. We chose to sit indoors as it was a little warm and I didn't want to be out under the sun. See pics of the food. Wanted salad. I tend to always want salad. Went with the Springfield. Crisp and fresh - really enjoyed the toppings and dressing. Harmony. That's how I'd describe this salad. I'd definitely have it again. Grabbed the Hot Springs. Wanted a cold sandwich. Wanted an Italian. Closest I could find and the vinaigrette was even on the side so I could add as much or as little as I wanted. I remember enjoying this sandwich so much I considered grabbing a second for the road. However, we're traveling and gotta try other foods and places. This would be one place I'd go back to if or when I find myself back in Rapid City. This cafe is connected to the brewery (Hay Camp Brewing). In fact, that's where the restrooms are if you need it.

Solid deli with long wait times…read more We visited around 1 pm on a Saturday. After placing our order, it took 45 minutes to get our food, which seemed excessive for sandwiches, so it seems they're understaffed. Someone working at the connected bar actually tried to clear our napkins/silverware before our food even arrived! Thankfully, the food was good, save for way too much mayo, which was easily remedied. The standout item was actually the sticky bun, which we ate the next morning- one of the best I've ever had! All the drinks also look amazing- we tried some kind of berry lemonade that was exceptional. It was also my husband's first time trying bison, and it was thinly sliced to perfection. It appears that they have an excellent variety of breads. I'd recommend going here if you're not too hungry and have time to wait. And definitely get the baked goods!

I suggest having reservations, because we called the day before and they were booked for the next two days. Thankfully, they slid us in on a cancellation. There is love here. Our server, Lucy, was super attentive and lovely. She definitely went the extra mile. The chef, Matt, was cooking for the entire restaurant with the aid of only one sous chef and the place was packed. Still, our food came out in a timely manner and it was all cooked to perfection. Quite a feat, given there were people at literally every table. It's not quaint in capacity, either. I was so impressed. As for the food- everything was phenomenal. We ordered a bottle of the Bordeaux, the charcuterie, the beet salad, the petite filet, the mushroom ragu, the creme brûlée and the home made peanut butter ice cream. It was a lot but as we are serious food lovers and I love to cook, we wanted to try it all. Although the menu itself wasn't visionary (not sure there is room for that in SD) the execution was. The filet melted like butter but had an extraordinary crust. Perfectly seasoned. I ate every bite. The creme brûlée is my go to dish- it's so simple but you can tell a lot from how it's executed. The custard was phenomenal and the crust was the perfect thickness, shattered just the right way with q wack of the spoon. The house made peanut butter ice cream... jeez. My husband ordered it. Not something I would have chosen but good lord, I ate the whole thing. I was in pain, but it was some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. People on Yelp complaining about seating or pricing are out of touch. This is a very small crew running the restaurant. The chef is an artist and he is killing it. (He is even the one who returned my reservation phone call!) You read the list of what we ordered- it was an insane amount of food PLUS a bottle of old world wine- and if I hadn't tipped so so exuberantly we would have been out of there for under 200 bucks. WE DONT DESERVE YOU, JUNIPER! We are thankful for such an amazing, elevated, romantic date night. Honestly worth going to Rapid City for. Please do yourself a favor, check it out and tip them well. These guys are pulling off something remarkable.

We started our evening at Sear Steakhouse with some excellent drinks. The thyme mocktail was crisp…read moreand refreshing, and my husband's old-fashioned was fragrant and well-balanced, complete with a perfect bada bing cherry. His only note was a preference for a single large ice cube rather than crushed, but overall the bar clearly knows what it's doing. The appetizers set a great tone. Warm sourdough was fresh and comforting. I enjoyed the bright, crisp house salad, while my husband's pumpkin soup was silky, savory, and perfectly seasonal. We both ordered the 7-ounce filet mignon, and the kitchen truly delivered! His medium-rare was tender and juicy with a beautiful sear, and my medium-well was still succulent--proof of precise cooking. They have an outstanding variety of cool, reasonably priced side dishes. My husband was excited about the Queen's honey carrots which were tender and flavorful (though the honey glaze was very subtle) and the creamy mashed potatoes that are part of the steak dish, were nicely executed. I didn't realize my filet came with mashed potatoes underneath, so I ordered a loaded, baked potato as my side, and ended up with extra potato (which I'm not complaining about whatsoever lol). We also enjoyed the whiskey cream sauce with mushrooms, which added a gentle smoky creamy richness, and the onion soubise, which was pure sweet comfort. Dessert was a highlight, as we celebrated my husband's birthday - we ordered all three featured desserts: The crème brûlée had a perfectly crackled top and smooth vanilla bean custard, the flourless chocolate dessert was deeply rich with espresso notes, and the butter cake was the total star - warm, moist, and decadently buttery. Each dessert was excellent in its own way, but that perfectly sinful butter cake stole the show! The atmosphere was inviting--warm wood tones, comfortable booths, well-balanced lighting, and enough TVs near the bar to keep my sports fan husband happy. Service was friendly and pleasant, though we found ourselves wishing for a bit more attentiveness. With a very quiet dining room, very early in the evening (we had a 4 PM reservation), there were moments when water refills lagged and opportunities for wine suggestions went unoffered (and we were definitely wanting to order some red with our steaks, but gave up because by the time there was an opportunity, we were finished with our steaks). We also briefly looked into the small private dining room on our way through the bar, and while we were greeted politely by one of the employees who was sitting in there, it felt like they missed the perfect opportunity to highlight the space for potential events. That said, nothing detracted significantly from the experience--it was simply a matter of polish. A touch more proactive engagement could elevate an already strong offering into something exceptional. Overall, Sear Steakhouse delivered an enjoyable and memorable evening. The food, drinks, and desserts are clearly strengths, and with just a little added focus on service flow and guest engagement, this restaurant has all the makings of a true standout in Rapid City. We look forward to returning and trying new things!

I'm really torn on this review because I've only been to Sear Steakhouse twice, and the experiences…read morewere completely different. The first visit was for a work event in the back room (not sure if that made a difference), and it was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection--my steak literally melted in my mouth, and the sides were hot and delicious. I couldn't stop raving about it afterward. The second visit, after talking it up to my family, was a letdown. They were busy, and maybe that played a role, but it just wasn't the same. My steak was mediocre, and my husband was genuinely confused why I had claimed it was one of the best steaks I'd had in a long time. Unfortunately, when it comes to restaurants, the bad tends to outweigh the good. We haven't been back, and I can't justify the price tag when there are other great steak options in town. I know places can have off days, and maybe that's what happened--but I'm not willing to return to find out.
