Our server took our order in a timely manner, our beverages came out quickly, and our appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time. The salad bar was probably the best option this place had (I've added a pic). I ordered a chicken dish, it was okay. Quite peppery. Mashed potatoes were meh, and the grilled zucchini was decent. We had the double chocolate cake for dessert. It was nothing special. Was not very warm, but it did come with a scoop of ice cream. As it was my birthday (and we're military), they gave us no discount, offered no dessert, nothing. I was quite surprised. Not sure if I'd come back here. If there was a zero star I would have selected that instead. We were with a party of 8. My son and I joined after the others had already ordered. Son and I ordered something ordinary like a big hamburger and a chicken sandwich and beer and a cocktail. We received our drinks and we were waiting on food For at least 45 minutes to an hour. We finally spoke up and asked our Waitress where our food was. She went back to check and it seems our order was lost. Ok, so she put it in again. We waited, had a few more drinks and asked again where our food was. She left and a male manager came to us and told us that he was sorry but the kitchen was closed. My husband got heated and the manager started yelling at my husband. Son and I were sitting for about 2.5 hours and no food plus no chance at this point we had to go back to our hotel and ordered pizza to be delivered which we received at 11:30 pm. When I had the new jalapeno queso burger for the first time, the top bun was crunchy, it was nice and hot in spice, it was juicy, the pickles was sour not to sour, but just right, there were so many options that sounded good, the food didn't take long to cook, the waitress was nice and efficient, the chili was cheese and spicy, the spinach artichoke dip tasted HOMEMADE IT WAS SO DELICIOUS, THE CHIPS HAD THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SALT, the strips were TENDER. I was so disappointed with the service. I was staying in a hotel that was right next to the restaurant and the gentleman I talked to told me they could get it to me in 20 minutes. Food was great! Service was not. Waitress chose to argue over what I had ordered for my son, and then asked me, "What would you like me to do?" Those were actually her exact words. Was harassed by the General Manager Chad as I got out of my vehicle for parking in a handicap spot, IN WHICH I AM HANDICAP. Just because I'm young doesn't mean someone can't be handicap. And then it took almost 30 minutes to get drinks, as the restaurant was not busy, took another 45 minutes to receive food. I would not eat there ever again. It's a bunch of kids running the joint and the manager is right along with Them. The management obviously doesn't care for the food or service. The salad bar wasn't fresh and the food takes a long time to bring to your table. There was only my cousin and me and it took 45 min to get our food and it wasn't even busy. While visiting family, my Auntie felt like baby back ribs so we headed to Ruby Tuesday! They have a nice menu, plenty of selections. We got seated right away (it was about 6:30) and had preference of booth or table, we opted for booth. She had the baby back ribs w/sides of sweet potato & slaw - the meat came right off the bone! Looked delicious. I had the grilled salmon w/sides of sweet potato and the salad buffet. The salmon was good, nice size piece it wasn't too much or too little, average size potato with butter and the salad buffet was fresh w/many topping choices - my meal was delicious. I also ordered a peach margarita since Tuesday's are margarita specials and it was huge and delicious! Hubby had shrimp w/fries & salad buffet and everything was great and no room for dessert. Three years ago, my husband and I ate here. The service was just awful. The waitress was young & rude. The food was full of MSG and tasted like cardboard. Two nights ago, we decided to try again. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has changed! The waitress forgot the lemon in my water and really didn't act like she cared to be at work. She scarcely showed her face. Even worse, the salad bar's thousand island dressing was some kind of ranchero mexican-tasting crap. It ruined my husband and granddaughter's salads. A completely banal experience, but that was the selling point for me... Location: 4 out of 5 South of downtown Rapid City, this location is next to a hotel and a shopping center. There is a public and free parking lot. Décor: 3 out of 5 Hrm...I think I've seen something like this before. Oh wait...it's in every Ruby Tuesday, and if you're a road warrior, you'll also notice that the décor resembles that of establishments such as TGIF and Chili's. No matter which Ruby Tuesday or national Ruby Tuesday'esque chain I go to, I can expect the service to be above mediocre to perfectly average. Although it's rare that I'll get served with the same amount of attention as say, Colonial House - it's also rare that I get a completely worthless and inept server. I am happy to report that my waiter at this location was completely average. And given the time of day I ate and where I ate in the restaurant (bar area), maybe he was actually slightly above perfectly average. Quality of food: 3 out of 5 That is a bingo! Perfectly consistent and reflective of any other Ruby Tuesdays, down to the items on the all you can eat salad bar. Let's put it this way - once you try one of these restaurants, you've basically tried them all. Little bit of info from the Food Network: chains like Ruby Tuesdays have test kitchens where they design each dish to, inter alia, be consistent across all restaurants. That means that their sauces are prepackaged, and when it's time to cook, they refer to the instructions that say, "Use two scoops [or other metric] of butter sauce to make the shrimp scampi" or something similar. The end result is a perfectly uniform (and banal) experience across all restaurants. You can refer to it as "parity" if you don't like banality. Price: 4 out of 5 I do have to admit that in these chain restaurants, the food is generally reasonably priced, as are the drinks. You're not getting off cheap, but you're not being taken advantage of, either. I'd actually say that given the touristy nature of the area, this location is on the "cheap"ish side. Overall: 3 out of 5 Truly - I'm not being sarcastic or insulting when I refer to this place as banal. Some back story for you - I had just come in from a moderately distanced ride from Jackson, Minnesota. I checked into my motel which was a little further south of this location, and after a shower and a nap, realized I needed to eat both lunch and dinner. Not wanting to go too far, but also wanting to check out a few things in the area after dinner, the obvious choice was Ruby Tuesday because I didn't want to spend too much time picking out a local place, and sometimes you get mixed results with recommendations or advertisements. With Ruby Tuesday - I knew I was going to get a meal that was commensurate with any other Ruby Tuesday experience I've ever had, and I was right. Well, for a laugh I compared the volume using my wife's beer glass vs my upgraded large beer glass and some water. Passing through North Dakota, it was tough to find an eating establishment that was good for a big group and had good food. We decided to stop at Ruby Tuesday's. We had a group of 12. The ordering was easy and the waitress was great. Many of us ordered a salad bar. The salad bar was a little annoying due to you not being able to reach the back items along the wall. A suggestion would be to make the salad bar double sided. The line to get a salad was basically out the door. I ordered off the lunch menu, the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese. It was good and came with fries. My wife ordered the Salmon with a side of broccoli and a side of French fries, as it came with 2 sides. She ordered without the BBQ glaze, because, hell, who puts BBQ on fish? The fish came out with BBQ Sauce. She sent it back and it took about 25 minutes for it to come out right. Plus she only got the broccoli with no sides. The waitress ended up comping the meal after I asked her to. All in all it was good food, but I might look elsewhere next time. read more

We ordered online and picked it up to eat at home. Food was good enough but the portions were insanely small and the good wasn't priced to match. My boyfriend got the crispy chicken mac and cheese for $15 and it had 3 very small more crisp than meat little chicken strips, and maybe 3/4 cup of mac and cheese. I was very unimpressed. Lettuce on the salad bar didn't look very fresh and some brown/rotten. I ordered the Salmon with zucchini. The amount of zucchini was pitiful. There was also something else splashed across my plate that didn't appear to have come from my meal. For desert I decided to try their apple crisp with ice cream. The small amount of ice cream was completely melted when I received it. No I didn't ask for it to be fixed because I really didn't want to delay or make a fuss over things that were clearly bad all around. I saw a definite trend in each course of my meal. Visited this location 9/1/17. The salad bar had a good selection but they had a hard time keeping it stocked due to the number of people who ordered it. Both of the food items we ordered were incorrect. We ordered wings with the sauce on the side, we got wings drowning in sauce. Seriously the wings were in a bowl of hot sauce. The burger we asked for plain and it came with everything on it. The only answer our server provided was that she entered it in correctly so she's not sure why they came out wrong. My husband and I went for lunch today @1:20 for Garden Bar-FB has been showing me Ruby Tuesday ads for a week now and wanted to give this another try. Salad bar= disaster in appearance. Only spinach and HUGE chunks of iceberg lettuce - mixed greens empty. Potato Salad all over the outside of the serving dish Appetizer= over done deep fried spring rolls Soup= meh can get this at subway. seen our waitress 2x after taking our order - once to ask if all was good then quickly to deliver our bill. Had to ask another waitress for silverware. Did not offer to refill our drinks, did not bus our table when we were clearly done for 15 minutes. Bill time- she was on-top of that part. the waitress decided to use zoom-broom all around our table, noticing that there were 3 tables occupied out of 16 other empty tables in our section, wondered if the empty tables could have gotten that attention instead a customer (me) trying to eat a meal and converse with out the noise under our chair. Just went there with the wife for their brunch buffet, and man did it suck major balls. No bacon. None. And not because they were out either. But because they said bacon is too expensive, so they just serve sausage and meatballs. I went through and EVERYTHING looked old and nasty. You'd get a better brunch at a crap hotel, like Super 8. We've been to this place for soup and salad, and they rock at that, but as for brunch? Hell no. It's all garbage. I brought an empty plate back to my table and asked for the check. The food is good. But one thing has stood out, they NEVER give you time to eat your salad. I go out to eat quite often and this is a problem at quite a few places. Ruby Tuesday has a good salad bar.but as soon as I get to eating my salad my entrée arrives. This has happened several times. I've even considered telling the waiter his tip will be tied to the appropriate timing of the entrée service. Because it is.
