What the heck is going on with McDonald's? There is absolutely no customer interaction from the staff at this McDonald's in Rapid City, South Dakota. I ordered from the app so it's no big deal to me,but when I walked inside there were two older ladies trying to figure out these stupid kiosks. They were getting really aggravated trying to figure it out. I'm sorry to say that I offered my help and they looked at me like I was a predator and they told me they had it. I just told them no problem and backed off. It still took them a while to figure it out. Anyway, they had such a problem because this is the first McDonald's I've been in that had no cash register. I seen where it used to be but it's not there. I took a picture but it's hard to see but trust me, no register at all at the counter. However, on one of the kiosks, there is a sign saying they would come out and help if you needed it. Oh, and it also says if you're paying with cash, let them know and they would bring you your change. I'm assuming they would have to go to a cash box in the managers office to retrieve your change. This is all well and great but there is no staff paying attention to any customers needing help or paying attention to anything on the other side of the counter. This is just absolutely sad. What happened to you McDonald's? Good thing we only stopped here because we were traveling. I would never stop here again. I live in northern Illinois and most of the McDonald's around me have taken out the self serve drink stations but they still have a cash register and you can still talk to a real human being. But I fear they are all headed this way. McDonald's needs to take a look at Steak and Shake. They did this in the covid era and people don't go to these places anymore and a lot of them have closed. Get your act together McDonald's. People are going to stop coming if there is no customer service. The only cool thing about this place is they have a bronze Quarter Pounder in the parking lot. I don't understand why it's not a Big Mac. I thought that was your iconic burger, but whatever. read more

The Mexican lady who wears the yellow dress clothes was seemingly mean to one of to what I assume was her staff. She was on her lunch break and requesting him to do things for her as if he was not busy running food all over already and then the guy would try to make conversation and she would just look at him with a disgusted look. The short Mexican guy was the same way. They were also speaking Spanish and some of the word they used were in a derogatory fashion. The food was good but I felt like I needed to put this on here because that make staff who was running food deserves a little more respect and better treatment especially if that Mexican lady is a manager or a team lead. 3 stars for super fresh Egg McMuffin, made perfectly. Inside the older lady working the counter was way over her head. The place was slightly busy but she was scatter brained and a few people were upset. They kept messing up people's orders. One frustrating thing was no cash register so she had to go to the new kiosks to order people's food. It was a mess...She was working hard, bless her. She needed help. read more

This restaurant has a randomly cool statue out front! Inside was clean and staff was friendly. Lots of parking. You have to use a kiosk to order.... But food was good other than fries could be crispier. A great spot for a quick bite! read more

The service and wait time at this McDonalds is beyond ridiculous. They take the "fast" out of fast food. Every time we've been here, it has taken 10-15 mins to get our food. I don't know if they don't have enough people or just bad management, but if you're in a hurry, don't go to this location. Arby's is across the street or Taco Bell down the street. read more

9:04 pm walked over from hotel, had an airline voucher , it has been a bad day with airport delays and cancellations. I have a $15 meal voucher from the airline that would not work. The manager was so nice and provided ideas to get the voucher to work and offered me a drink, it still didn't. She came back and checked on me to see if I could get the voucher to work and shared some of her dinner with me, she made my day. I will use the voucher tomorrow. Easy in and out parking area with quick access off of I90. Both times we stopped in the staff were attentive and helpful which can be a challenge when you have picky eaters in your group. The dining area was clean even though the restaurant was packed with diners and a long line of cars outside for the drive thru. Roadside America and Atlas Obscura took us here. It was the best burger we have ever had. This tasted like Wagyu compared to any other burger. We got a quarter pounder and ate it in front of the statue. An employee took our picture. The Bronze outdoor monument, unveiled in Feb. 2020. I love this McDonald's! THEY HAVE A BURGER STATUE!!!! Every time I went there, the food was very fresh. I visited twice and had breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, I ordered inside, no dine in because of covid a lot of McDonald's throughout the country has not opened their restaurant yet. HOWEVER, the cashier understood my special requests and made ordering a breeze. When I was finishing up paying, the manager hand delivered my bag of food! The coffee was fresh, the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. For dinner, I ordered in the drive thru. The line was very long, but considering how long the line is, they went through it quickly. This is one of the best, if not the best, McDonald's I have ever visited. We placed our order and they gave us a number to take back to our table. Within minutes, our breakfast was served. As we were finishing our breakfast, a young lady came by and offered us a free refill for our coffee. When was the last time that happened at your McDonald's? Yeah, probably never. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast before hitting the road to sightsee. The restaurant was very clean and modern inside, and the staff was extremely friendly. My husband and I each got value meals, mine with a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, and his with a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit.
