Regardless, the Lobby Bar seems to be highly recommended on Yelp, so that was my dining destination tonight. The steak strips and fries sounded good tonight. Dish was pretty good, albeit a tiny portion and a bit pricey ($20). Fries may be the best part of the dish. I might have ordered a less expensive dish in hindsight. But a draft of Knuckle Head Red made it all better. For a hotel bar/restaurant, this one is pretty awesome.

Mostly burgers and the like, but oh so very good burgers. We grabbed a couple of appetizers, they were rapidly consumed by the group. The shrimp appetizer was my favorite, the dipping sauce was superb. Along with his burger, my guy ordered the mac'n cheese, it was cheesy and garlicky, and we pretty much swiped the bowl clean. My burger was fresh and hot, and I honestly couldn't eat the whole thing. I did eat the entirety of the side of slaw that I ordered. No waste on the burger, it went home in a to-go box. Although they handled our group very well, I wouldn't recommend taking a large group without setting it up with the staff beforehand. We had kind of a big group (party of 16), so we set it up a few days in advance. I think this place will become part of the regular places we go when we are in town.

I think this must be a family owned place, because at some point, I saw a 13 year old (ish) boy clearing tables and handing out candy at the tables. We were sitting for quite a while before anyone noticed us and brought menus. But once we did get the attention of our waitress, she was very nice. There's a kids menu with the typical offerings. They mostly have the standard beers and a handful of local offerings. I had the hazy pineapple beer, and it was okay. My husband tried a local IPA, and he liked it. I had the fried shrimp and the housemade potato chips. They make their own chips (good, although unevenly salted) and they come with a delicious french onion dip, just like the stuff I remember from childhood. My husband and I couldn't get enough. The menu is otherwise pretty burger-based, but that's fine for a setting like this. They have a pool table that takes quarters. That kept the kids occupied while the adults were able to watch some of the March Madness fun.

We went inside and while there were tables available, many were still dirty and stayed that way during the duration of our meal. Not a great look for the restaurant. We started the fancy fried pickles and chislic. The fried pickles were different with the prosciutto and mozzarella cheese, but we still enjoyed them. The chislic was tough/chewy and not as good as Thirsty's next door. My husband and I split the buffalo meatloaf. The meatloaf was dry, but I enjoyed the overall flavor. Overall, I was not impressed with this restaurant and was disappointed with service and how the meals were cooked at Murphy's. We just had better food during our trip, so it's hard to recommend this one.

Unfortunately, some of the sours were already sold out, so I didn't get to try the ones I was really hoping for. They did still have a few other sours available, though, and the ones we tried were pretty good. One thing I found a little strange was the beer flight. It was priced similarly to other flights we've had, but instead of the usual four beers, they only serve three. They bring the flight out on a paddle with four slots, but only allow three beers, which seemed a little odd. The food was pretty good. We got the buffalo burger, crab dip, and beer cheese soup, and enjoyed everything. The ambience is definitely one of the highlights the brewery is located inside a repurposed firehouse, which makes it a really cool and unique space. Overall, we had a good experience. I just wish more of the beers had been available and that the flight included four beers like the paddle suggests.

I ordered the SMALL value basket with two chicken tenders and fries which is what I ALWAYS order no matter what location I'm at. Very disappointing that it was almost $9 when at every other location it's only $7. I got my food and the tenders were SO FREAKIN SMALL!!!!! When you order a small value basket it's only the fries and drink that are small, not the chicken. So I paid more and got an even smaller portion than normal. Also ordered a small concrete mixer. It was good but the custard wasn't as thick and creamy as it usually is. It was very liquidy and was more like a thick milkshake. And that was when they handed it to me. And even that was more expensive. I usually pay $4 and this was almost $6. If you're gonna charge more for the same food, please make sure you give the customer what they pay for. I was very disappointed but still happy to have food to eat.
