The food was good and quick but our service was amazing! Victoria was consistent, never had empty drinks, and most importantly observant to our needs. 10/10 I will be coming back read more

Came here since we got offer in app for Thursday night 8.99 burger & Garden Bar. Crazy price. Got sat as we walked up. Right in the bar per our request w/ nice view of TVs. The cheeseburger was perfect. Tots were crunchy too. Tried most of the items on the buffet & they were all good. No issues with any of the food. Their croutons are to die for since they were perfectly crunchy and chewy. Only thing missing was some chopped up eggs and spinach leaves. Our server (Julia) was real nice & on the ball for real. We even met a nice couple next to us and was talking about Nazarene college together. Wish this place was by our house. read more

First time here and wasn't impressed. Food had ok flavor and I got a small piece of chicken. We didnt try the salad bar. Service was the issue. Lady had too many tables and we sat with empty glasses, finished plates and had to track her down to get out check and a to go container. read more

Well, the staff was good. Made sure we were taken care of. The $6 salad bar was worth the add on. I got the hickory bourbon chicken. The chicken breast was more like a half breast. It was flavorful, but that was all on my plate that gad any flavor. Husband got the catfish platter and was far from impressed. The only flavor it had was the Tabasco he added. He said it was easily the least flavored coleslaw he had ever eaten. Grandpa had fish and chips and said the same thing - and he doesn't even have an expansive pallet. Probably wouldn't come back. read more

Not edible. We received the absolute worst, tasteless, chewy steaks. A rock hard overcooked baked-potato that I couldn't cut or bite into. Fries that tasted like they were fried hours ago. They were happy to reduce our bill from $70 to $38. So basically, it was a $38 Diet Pepsi because neither of us could eat the food they brought us. We left hungry and went home to make ourselves something to eat at 9:30 at night. The waitress was nice and tried to be accommodating, but this is the third and final time we will give this particular Ruby Tuesday' another chance. She told me that she doesn't recommend the steak because their new supplier is subpar. Why not tell me that when I order steaks? Why does management not make sure the cook staff knows how to properly season and cook food? We won't be back. read more

I'm not sure who the owner, or management of this establishment might be. But, you know who you are, and should be so embarrassed at the condition of this place. I remember this location when it opened, it was a great Family restaurant. NOT ANYMORE. TOO BAD. Everything within view of my booth was in a state of disrepair. Even the menus were dirty, and greasy. We actually went there for the salad bar. Pathetic is a nice way of putting it. Don't waste your money. read more

The restaurant was filthy. Our silverware was dirty and so were the tables. The men's rooms disgusting. Our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I had to he to the front of the restaurant and request my check and takeout containers. Overall two thumbs down and will NEVER go back. read more

THE Waitress didn't give us our food we had to wait like 20-25 minutes Also she didn't check up on us and she didn't refill our drinks read more

Walked in on. Friday night and saw that the restaurant was less than half full. We were told there would be a 25 minute wait. We asked if we could sit at the mostly empty bar. Again, we were told there would be a 25 minute wait. This was at 7:40pm (well after a dinner rush) and people were leaving. We chose to leave as well as it was obvious that they did NOT AWANT US TO EAT THERE. read more

Horrible food. Steak for wife and some shrimp for me. Wife steak so bad she could not even eat it. Service sucked. Told them steak so bad she could not eat it. Waitress said sorry, here is your bill. Done. Will not go back, they can go bankrupt like all the other bad service places. read more

Great service by Sammy A friendly atmosphere and food was great I am always greeted with a welcoming smile!!!

Went back again Sunday with the kids for lunch! Great food all around, still incredibly small portions but it was yummy! I will say I think the salad bar needs eggs! I would definitely do that salad bar pass if they added eggs! Other than that, keep up the great work! So much improvement!! read more

I went in earlier today and had Samantha as my server. She was incredibly respectful, nice, and fast with her service. The food was amazing also and I would 100% recommend!! read more

Went here on a Saturday night. We were seated promptly. Inside wasn't bright so it felt cozy without being dark enough to cause issues. Menu were pretty varied. Be warned there aren't a ton if vegan or vegetarian options. We both had an impossible burger and fries. Our good came out pretty fast and tasted good. The fried mushrooms and tater tots contained milk per the allergen menu online so skipped those. Considered the new brussel sprouts, but they aren't on the allergen menu. I do like how the allergens menu online lets you toggle a good variety of dietary restrictions. They even have an endless salad bar that had a surprising amount of options. There were chickpeas, banana pepoers, beets, and other choices not normally offered at salad bars so that was nice. The endless salad bar was currently $12.99 as an entrée or $5.99 as an add on. One issue was that the salad dressings weren't really labeled. Most of the spoons had their labels rubbed off from use so could only read three so he didn't feel safe trying the dressings. Nice evening out. read more

We usually love to eat at Ruby Tuesday's, and since they closed the one in our town, it means we look for this restaurant when we travel. We visited between lunch and dinner. Restaurant was nearly empty. The salad bar looked very untidy and picked over. There seemed to be no one tending it. We were disappointed that the turkey burger was discontinued as it is THE favorite of one member of our party. Cole slaw was WARM, and the limp greens in it suggested that it had been unrefrigerated for some time. It tasted awful, and the person who ordered it spat it out. Fortunately, no food poisoning resulted (nauseous afterwards). Only 3 servers working as restaurant filled up. Everything, as a result, took time. We will never visit this location again, and since the turkey burger is gone, we'll be less likely to visit Ruby's in the future. read more

The place was in disrepair. Wallpaper pealing off the wall. My food came out and 5 minutes later I asked where my wife's food was. They ran back and grabbed her salmon salad. Salmon was now cold. She said other than that the salad was good. My smash burger had zero flavor. Salad bar was nasty. We haven't been then in a couple years and chances are it will be a couple more before we go again. read more

It's simply hit or miss with this location. Our Server was perfectly fine. The 8oz Sirloin I ordered was subpar. Cooked to order, but bland. The baked potato was most likely baked that morning, if not, the day before and put in a warmer. Had that day old taste. Everyone at the table (4) total did not have a decent dinning experience. The "ribeye" was uneventful and my son's fish and shrimp were rather comical. Fish was overcooked and dry and he was short several shrimp according to the menu. The server brought out 1 shrimp in a bowl!! We had heard the restaurant was serving better cooked/presented food which is why we decided to give them a try. Nope! We all agreed, the salad bar is really the only thing that stands out at Ruby Tuesdays. Maybe the French fries are good??? Otherwise, hard No! read more

We had heard that the Mount Vernon, OH Ruby Tuesdays was working on re-establishing its reputation after years of decline. So we decided to try it tonight (5/19/24) and 8:30PM. When we arrived, we waited to be seated until my son asked what we do. I told him we wait for a host/hostess if we could find one. Then an employee stood up from a booth she was sitting at and said, "Sorry. I was cleaning a table." (She wasn't actively doing anything. I thought she was a customer waiting for service.) A server came to our table, took our drink orders, and we ordered loaded potato skins, two salad bars, and the NY Strip with Shrimp. The server returned with our drinks, asking me, "What did you have? Pibb? I've been here since 10 this morning, and I'm tired! [After answering Diet Coke]. "Well, just try it! I don't know what I got! I'm so tired!" Okay... We went to the salad bar, much of which was empty. Then we realized the hostess hadn't brought us silverware. Seeing no employees close by, I went to the hostess stand and got us some. When the food came, the surf & turf had four little shrimp on it. I retrieved a menu, and the photo had more than that. Also, the potato skins had no scallions on them. The server came and asked how everything looked, and I opened the menu to the s&t, and she replied, " Well, the menus are out of date. Prices keep going up, and the portions are going down. Corporate is terrible! They are impossible to get a hold of, and never respond! They have declared bankruptcy twice! Oh, and we're out of scallions for the potato skins." Wow! I wasn't expecting that tirade! I responded that, whether the menu was out of date or not, we had ordered off it. She came back later and said she asked the kitchen how many shrimp were supposed to be in the plate, and the kitchen responded, " I just put on a handful". Then she said she asked them to drop one more for us. (And what do you know, she later brought out a single shrimp on a plate for us. Not sure if it was an editorial comment or not. In the meantime, the ketchup on our table was empty. I went searching for a full ketchup, but only found other empty ones. The customers at the booth next to us slipped us theirs with a chuckle. (So far, we've gotten better service from the other customers than the staff! Just before 9, our server told us, "If you want anything else from the salad bar, you have to get it now because we are closed, and the salad bar people like to be out of here by 9:15!" Really?!? At 9:05 they stacked the chairs on top of the bar AROUND a customer who was sitting there eating! Meanwhile, we finally had to yell and ask for our check. This was the most laughable service I have ever seen! My wife and I have spent years working in restaurants, and this was ridiculous! We showed up right at our limit of arriving before closing because we understand cleaning and side work, etc but a half-hour before is very reasonable - especially when two are ordering the salad bar. From looking at other reviews, it will be interesting to see if the response is to repeat everything I have said in an email. (I purposely put all the details they ask for in this review.) read more

Ruby Tuesday - Closing around a customer! - Burgers Near Me - Mt. Vernon, Ohio

Great service, great food, amazing atmospher....Went in on a Sunday with the mindset that the food was going to take a few because of how busy they were. I ordered an appetizer and within 10 minutes it came out and it was awesome. highly recommend the mix trio its definitely worth the money. I ordered a shrimp scampi as my entree and it was delicious!!!! had just enough garlic butter but not to much and just the right amount of lemon to really make the flavor pop. will definitely be going back every chance I get!!!! Keep up the hard work Ruby Tuesday's!!! read more

Ruby Tuesday - 6 oz. "Rib Eye" steak, to be cooked medium rare. What a disappointment! - Burgers Near Me - Mt. Vernon, Ohio

Was there on Memorial Day as there were few choices in the area. The service was great considering they were short staffed they were helpful and attentive and did the best they could with a not so good situation. The food was meh, salad bar was ok, it was filled and the items seemed fresh but the taste of some of the salads were just very bland. The food we ordered for dinner was just average as well, nothing we got was great, but not bad either. Not many choices in the area so just expect average food. But thank you to those working that day they were excellent! read more

I have never been to a Ruby Tuesday before this. But we got there at about 7:26 pm. We walked in and the floor was really sticky. We got seated pretty quickly and the service was really good. The boneless chicken wings breading wasn't great and some of the chicken was chewy (not recommended) But other than that the food was alright and could have definitely been better. I would rather go to other places than this won't be visiting very often. read more

Ruby Tuesday - 8oz sirloin, fries and grilled zucchini - Burgers Near Me - Mt. Vernon, Ohio

Haven't been to a Ruby Tuesday for a long time as I thought they were all closed. Visiting Mt. Vernon with a friend so we decided to go. Compliments to our server. She was friendly and working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. It seemed as though the restaraunt was very under staffed. I ordered the wings, bone in 6 pieces, fried mushrooms and a drink. The wings were good the hickory burbon sauce was very good. The fried mushrooms however, not so good. Not fresh whole mushrooms but pieces in a crumbly coating that was very salty. I brought them home for the next day. They dont reheat well and taste bitter. They are in the trash. Disappointing concidering my bill with tip was $35. ....for lunch...6 wing pieces, a drink and what they called fried mushrooms. read more

The best salad bar around. Salad items are always fresh & bar is clean. Wait staff is good & very friendly.

fast and polite service. the waitress made sure that there were constant refills without having to be asked. the food was also delicious.

Just got charge SIX DOLLARS for 8 ounces of soup. And by the way it was disgusting. I called the manager and she said this was not a mistake. That this is the right size for $6. Ridiculous. Especially for pre-made soup in a bag that they added frozen broccoli to. read more

Ruby Tuesday - Broccoli cheddar soup. Gross! - Burgers Near Me - Mt. Vernon, Ohio

Mt Vernon Ohio has one "steak house", mainly only due to the liquor license in the city. The restaurant is very old and dingy. They are sitting on a gold mine but refuse to update. The salad bar on TV looks so good...we go in every time they advertise the additional items...never changes and any mention of it falls on deaf ears. If you don't want to update and improve, it's time to move on and let another restaurant come in and appreciate the community. We are going to try it one last time today (we always say that). If the salad bar is not changed again we are done. **Update! Went to lunch there today and.....the salad bar was updated and GREAT! So happy after several years of asking them for a good salad bar it has finally happened. read more

I haven't been here in a while, tried to place a pick up order and nobody would answer the phone. So I went in to do it, waited at the bar for a menu. The bartender kept putting me off ( nobody at the bar mind you), wouldn't give me a menu and was telling other customers she was sick of all these "bag people" lol referring to the take-outs. I totally understand her frustration, there is a REAL shortage of employees available to work right now. This is clearly a management issue, it seemed the bartender had probably 4 or 5 tops and also cashiering the in restaurant customers. Hopefully things aren't as bad there as it seems. read more

Salad bar was fresh and well stocked, staff was friendly and prompt! Smokehouse cheeseburger is a great selection as well!

Autumn was very attentive. All five of us enjoyed our food very much. it was a great experience.

very friendly staff. manager was very kind. great coffee Love the salad bar and steak

I was glad that we found a Ruby Tuesday for our lunch. I like their concept but I don't have a Ruby Tuesday very near me back home. I like their salad bar and they have a good selection of food on the menu. I had in mind to get the salad bar but ended up with just an entree for lunch. In their lite menu they have a spaghetti squash dish and I just had to try it a what other restaurant offers such a dish? It was good and very filling. Service was timely and the server took good care of us. read more

I was so impressed that I won't be returning anytime soon. The place wasn't busy but it took quite a while to receive our food. I ordered the tomato soup. There was way too much cheese on the top. Two heaping spoonfuls. I like cheese, but not when it kills the flavor of the soup. Two people in our party ordered burgers medium. The burgers looked more medium rare. Way too much pink. Service was lackluster. On another note, they do have their salad bar available. Not sure the Covid regulations with that. read more

I would really love to give this place a decent Review , as the facility is decorated nicely And is kept clean , however the service here is nothing short of abysmal , and for whatever reason has remained that way even After 4 different visits . This is NOT a typical problem with other Ruby Tuesday locations that I visit, ONLY the Mt Vernon Ohio location ! I'm Not sure whether the problem is an understaffed wait team Or just poor management , however after four visits in as many months , they've had 4 chances to redeem their lackadaisical performance , yet with no improvement or the hope thereof in sight ! Another issue is that the menu items seem to be Cooked catch as catch can by the kitchen staff . Sometimes they are tasty and precise , other times nearly Burnt or served lukewarm . Rather than Sitting in aggravation at a table waiting for even the slightest bit of attention and not getting didley squat ......or worrying about the way our meal will be cooked that particular day , we now go down the road to MASSAs restaurant , where then wait staff is oriented to deliver excellent customer service and the chef turns out fabulously tasting meals each and every visit ! I hope that our local Ruby Tuesday will be able to get back on track , as I do Like the menu items offered ... but please !!! .... change the wait staff , the kitchen staff , or the facility manager or whomever is responsible for this huge breakdown in customer service ! Continual Poor performance can only result In a further diminishing customer base . I do however believe that This place is still salvageable if the current customer complaints are addressed and promptly acted upon ! Sadly , My current rating , as of now , .... a lowly one star out of five ! My only suggestion to potential diners, again , as of now : Try Ruby Tuesday if you must , but bring a snack and bottled water with you , as you're gonna be in. For a looooong wait and possibly a burnt dinner ! ---------- //// ---------- Note : to be fair , we will try another visit for ONE last time two months from the date of this review , just to see if this particular RUBYS has changed its methods and can be resurrected from the dead ! If the situation remains the same we will never return again ! read more
