We came on a Tuesday afternoon after hitting a couple breweries in the Mills River area . The area that the taproom in is really beautiful with mature trees and it's a huge facility . We parked and walked inside and headed to the bar. I got a flight and my boyfriend got an IPA. I thought the beers were really good and I liked that there was some that you couldn't find anywhere else . We also ordered some duck fries that were so dang good . As we waited for our food , we went to do a self tour of the brewery and that was great to see the history of Sierra Nevada and the different rooms that the processing occurred in. After our food we cashed out and took the remainder of our beers to their outdoor area . Once you pass by their amphitheater you went down this trail towards a little river and we went farther still and there was this whole field of yard games and tables that you could sit and enjoy right next to the rushing river (French Broad River) . All the staff that we encountered with was very nice and knowledgeable. Just a really fun atmosphere to be in where even the staff looked like they were enjoying themselves . If I was home I would have taken them home to my chickens and I don't think even they could finish them all in one sitting. The other thing I didn't like was how they do seating...I had to sit at the bar with my kids because all of the tables were taken up by 1 or 2 people when they could seat six. We saw several people come in after us and one person from their group would go claim a table while their group was in line ordering, preventing the people ordering ahead of them from finding a spot.
