If you love Texas Roadhouse food, this place is worth stopping by. Food here taste just like any other Texas Roadhouse location. Great service. Our waitress were polite and attentive.

We went back to get our envelopes opened 1 week apart from our first visit in a while. Was immediately seated this time! Nice surprise! But we waited for several minutes for our server, like to the point it was like uhhhh should we leave? Anyways it didn't get any better after that. We started with fried pickles and they were great! Nice and crispy and not floppy! I got my usual vegetable plate house salad, 2 cups of chili and green beans and my partner had Barbecue chicken loaded baked potato and house salad and broccoli! Food was good! Music is blaring loud or maybe it's just country music? It's like coyote ugly up in there. We did see some older ladies putting their hands over their ears. We'll go back to use our prizes as it is a really awesome restaurant with great service and food!!!

First, the parking ambience was super easy, which I always appreciate--plenty of spaces and no hassle. Once inside, the staff was warm and welcoming, and our server was genuinely kind and attentive throughout the meal. I really enjoyed the chili and the lemonade--both were delicious! The chili had great flavor, and the lemonade was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. As for the main dishes, my steak was unfortunately overcooked, and the mac and cheese wasn't quite to my taste. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected from Texas Roadhouse, especially since they usually do a great job. Even with those issues, the service and some of the sides definitely made the visit worthwhile. I'd still come back and give them another try, especially since everything else was handled so nicely.

T-BONE STEAK! Nothing better for the teeth.

We went there for my birthday today. Our server was Sienna and she did a great job! The food was very good and portion size are exceptional. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and this location. Best time to go is early and prepare for some fun especially if it is your birthday or other celebration. The steaks are seasoned well and food come hot. There starter rolls are very good. If you like steak go there. My wife tried the shrimp and she said it was cooked perfectly.

Food was very good. The fresh warm rolls are excellent. Our server was so nice; we took up her table while visiting since she is from out of town. We gave her extra tip which she tried to refuse but we insisted. They were busy but she never rushed us. They get customers are important. The decor very cute....coins and signs on walls...old register. Will return.

The rib is pretty bad, it burns so bad we have to throw away most of them. The fries are soggy. The porter house saves the dinner.

We chose the outside patio area. First we ordered a rack of baby backs for $40 with two sides. Ribs cooked to perfection. Broccoli salad the best I've ever had. The restaurant had indoor seating, along with a large outdoor area with plenty of tables. We headed inside, got into a relatively short line, and tried to figure out the ordering process, which was a little confusing at first. We eventually figured it out. One thing on the menu caught my attention: "Moink balls," which were described as bacon-wrapped meatballs. When I asked the server what kind of meat was in them, he told me they were out of Moink balls. I said okay, but asked if he could still tell me what kind of meat was in the meatball. He seemed very annoyed by the question, said "meat," when I pressed him, he said that he didn't know. We ended up ordering pulled pork, ribs, roasted corn, and mac and cheese. The food itself was good, and I especially liked the corn. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get past the way that server responded to what seemed like a simple and reasonable question.

A Hidden Gem for Truly Great BBQ…read more We decided to try Iron and Oak after reading some online reviews, and I'm so glad we did. This place is truly a hidden little gem, tucked right beside a brewery. You place your order outside, and there are several outdoor tables with heaters to keep you warm. Our server also let us know we were welcome to sit inside if we preferred, but we chose a cozy outdoor table right by a heater. It was perfect. My husband was craving ribs, and he hasn't stopped talking about them since. He said they were some of the best he's ever had -- tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. He ordered slaw as his side and really enjoyed it. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, and honestly, it was exceptional. The server asked if I wanted it with onions and pickles -- I said yes -- and then asked her to add slaw on top. She said "Of course!" with no hesitation and then took a moment to explain the whole routine since it was our first visit: where to get sauces, forks, napkins, and how they deliver your food to the table when it's ready. She was wonderful. The pulled pork itself was outstanding -- not one bit of fat, just tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked meat. Truly one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. I chose potato salad as my side, and it was delicious -- definitely passed the test, since potato salad can be hit or miss at many places. I forgot to take pictures, but trust me: this place is worth the trip. If you're in the mood for BBQ, make the drive and enjoy what I would honestly call some of the best barbecue in Asheville.

On the plus side, the restaurant was incredibly easy to find and they actually have parking available, which is always a massive win when traveling. Once inside, we were seated at a high-top table, and our server was very pleasant throughout the meal. We started with the collard green and pimento cheese dip, which was supposed to come out hot in a skillet. Unfortunately, as I started dipping into the center, the middle of the dip was still cold. For mains, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of mac & cheese, and I went with the grilled cheese with candied bacon and tomato. Both of our sandwiches had the same issue: the tomato slices were cut incredibly thick--at least a half-inch. It made my husband's sandwich really hard to eat, to the point where he just took the tomato off and ate the chicken with a knife and fork. My grilled cheese was fine, but that massive tomato slice was just a bit much. As for the sides, my husband's mac & cheese was on the dry side. Mine wasn't dry, but it didn't really have a ton of flavor. I totally understand that the restaurant is trying to go for a fun, modern twist on southern classics, but for us, the execution fell a bit short. It was nice to try once while in town, but I'm not sure I'd visit again on a future trip to Asheville.

We found Hulu Sue's and there was a parking spot right in front so we decided to come in for lunch. The ambiance was friendly and inviting. Although it was really busy, we were immediately seated at the last indoor table. We ordered the Poke bowl and the combination bowl and a spam appetizer. The started was simple and delicious. I was never on the spam bandwagon, but this simple preparation was fantastic. The poke bowl was delicious. It was a little heavy on the mayo, but all the components were great. I loved the macaroni salad. It was the reason I wanted to come in and I was happy! I sampled some shrimp and chicken from my guy's dish and they were both great-well seasoned and well prepared. I wasn't a fan of the pork, it felt on the dry side. We also noticed that NC likes their sauces. I mean, I like sauces, but I never expect 4-6 options on the table. We tried a little of each and the curry based option and the mustard were my favorites! This is a great find. I didn't realize that small towns still close up shop early on Sundays. So unfortunately we didn't get to spend a lot of time exploring. Nonetheless, this was a great place to stop into.

First, a logistics tip for anyone else visiting: give yourself plenty of extra time to find parking, as it takes a while to hunt down a spot down here. Also, double-check that you are making your reservation for the right location! There are a couple in the area and it can get confusing quickly. As for the food, my meal was quite good. I ordered the fried chicken with green beans and grits, and everything on my plate was delicious. However, my husband's meal was a bit of a letdown. He had the chicken and waffles--he felt his chicken was on the overcooked side, and the waffle itself had the texture of pancakes rather than being crisp. Service was also a bit slow during our visit. The most frustrating part was noticing that our food came out after a table of four that had actually been seated after we were. It was worth a try while we were in town, but given the service pacing and the hiccups with my husband's food, I don't think we'd head back on a return trip.
