Great food and the staff is really sweet. My friend had the 'Peacemaker' Benedict ( you can pick two out of the six or so they have.) She picked the shrimp and the salmon. She said is was the best breakfast of her life! I had shrimp and grits the first time I went--sooo good. The second time I had the shrimp omelette. Yummy, but next time I'll try the shrimp Benedict. (Can't get enough of that NoLa shrimp! Another friend had the praline pancakes. Wow! I don't even like pancakes that much but these are beyond good. Our waiter, Mario was very sweet and helpful. read more

I Delia was a great server. The food was awesome!! Must check it out!! The staff was very courteous..

LOVED this place. Our group of 10 went there 3 days in a row and it did not disappoint. Sometimes things got a little backed up in the kitchen, but Jack did a phenomenal job of making sure we were taken care of and happy! The eggs benedict with fried chicken and debris were two of my faves. read more

FANTASTIC. If you're in town come here for breakfast or brunch. The drinks are incredible, the food is top notch and the service is out of this world. Jack took great care of us and made it an enjoyable meal for us. I LOVE THE RUBY SLIPPER read more

Had the best brunch at the Ruby slipper! Bloody Mary's are delicious. Loved the pick two option of the Eggs Benedict. Two of our party really liked the Madam Croquet. Stuffed French toast of the day and the Maple bacon pancakes looked delicious. Great ambiance and our server Tanisha was so sweet. Very competent and personable! Thought she was a seasoned waitress and turned out it was her training day. Great job Tanisha!! read more

Food is amazing but the wait is a while. Id recommend to get your a number then go elsewhere. They will text your number when ready.

We had breakfast and the wait was acceptable. They have a bloody Mary that include a bacon infused alcoholic concoction (my buddies had to sample it). Portion sizes are good, overall I'll be back if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Yumminess....was travelling through and saw the crowd outside figured it must be worth it. The wait wasn't that long and the food was fantastic. read more

Best Bloody Mary in town. Great breakfast spot with unique cajun dishes. I get the Egg Cochon. It's a twist on Eggs Benedict, substituting the ham for pulled pork. It was extremely flavorful and a very filling dish. I just love it!! read more

The Eggs Cochon would definitely make my list of most delicious dishes I have ever consumed! I also enjoyed a delicious Banana Pecan Pancake. This will be a must have anytime I return to New Orleans! read more

We had the pancakes and they were light and fluffy with a great buttermilk flavor. Bacon was excellent but when is it not!

Wonderful breakfast/brunch place in NOLA. We first went to the Marigny location on a Thursday morning and had no problem getting a seat. We went back on Sunday morning and waited about 15 min. at around 11 am or so for two of us to be seated. They have a morning Happy Hour M-F from 7-10 am with great Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. The Challah Bread in the Croque Madame is amazing (I had never had it before). It was so good, the wife ordered it both times we visited. The Eggs Blackstone was also really good, as was their basic breakfast. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The only thing that stops this from being a five-star review is that I didn't like their biscuits as much as other restaurants I've been to (I like a fluffier, less dense biscuit). It's a really solid breakfast/brunch choice, and we'd definitely visit again. read more

This was the first brunch I'd ever been to in the city and I was really excited about it - sadly, it was pretty average. There are much better places to grab a fabulous breakfast. Maybe I ordered the wrong things or just tried it on a bad day? It was bustling, the atmosphere was great and service was quick. Just doesn't hold a candle to Tout de Suite in Algiers Point. read more

My wife and I are breakfast freaks. Quite possibly, this was the best breakfast that we've ever had. The service A+. Food A++.... Croquet Madame and Eggs Blackstone were incredible. The place is even in an old bank building with tons of character. Super highly recommended. read more

What a fabulous spot for a delicious breakfast. This restaurant is in a beautiful neighborhood just outside the French Quarter. There are a few tables for outdoor seating, but we chose to eat inside. It's a beautifully maintained old bank building. My husband had the eggs Cochon, which was on one of the most delicious biscuits I've ever tasted. My migas scramble was fantastic. The chipotle sour cream was delicious. The mimosas and bellinis were just okay. Our server Matthew was friendly and attentive. The best breakfast we have had in NOLA yet! read more

This cafe came highly recommended by friends. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, plus another 45 minutes for food. My sister, was served the wrong order and the grits were cold. Only consolation was the manager promptly removed the items from the bill. Good customer service, but definitely over hyped. read more

Food was good. Service was fast for me. Tried my first ever bloody Mary and I thought it was nasty.

We were spending the weekend in New Orleans and were searching for a place to have brunch on Sunday morning. Couldn't have chosen a better place. We ordered the house specialty, shredded pork meat over a biscuit and pouched eggs on top. Simply delicious!! I totally recommend this place. read more

Came here three times on my week long trip to New Orleans. Amazing breakfast and something for everyone- whether you want authentic cuisine or tasty breakfast food. Our waiter Michael was incredibly friendly, attentive, welcoming, knowledgable about the menu, never let our drinks get low and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I got the Skinny Migas omelette, INCREDIBLE! Also try the biscuit, grits, and fried green tomatoes-- nothing as tasty! Would give ten stars if I could! read more

Best French toast, loved this place. Great food, fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Cocktails and brunch. Yum!

I have to say, this is my go to breakfast/brunch place on any day! Today sucked because last night, I had a friend randomly show up (unannounced) at my house and I, trying to be hospitable, tried to go all out and accommodate this unaware soul. Nothing was up to par in my friend's book, and I had so many choice words that I kept to myself. Finally got to bed at 1:30 and woke super early to calls for food (OMG! Grrr...) My patience, having been worn thin by then, prompted me to seek out my happy place. The wait was a bit long, but that is not the restaurant's fault...anyone with tastebuds would wait for this. I had the Bacon Pecan pancakes with praline sauce. Hot, ooey-gooey, and ah-mazing! Even my guest, who was worried about not getting enough food, or the food not tasting good, or _________ (fill-in-the-blank), was left speechless by the two pancakes that were honestly about the size of my head. There was not much complaining about anything after that as the Ruby Slipper showed out and didn't let me down. I can't speak for anyone else but my day went so much better, especially after my nap from all the deliciousness in my belly. Don't miss the chance to find your happy here too! I promise, you won't regret it read more

I absolutely love this restaurant so it hurts my heart to have to give them 3 stars (and I think I'm being pretty generous). I typically frequent the location in mid city or on canal but today, we decided to try the Marigny location. We brought friends from out of town with us because Ruby Slipper is always a must for tourists. I was so disappointed with our experience at this location and felt awful for my friends who were from out of state and expected so much more. We waited for about 25 min for a table, which was no big deal because it was crowded. We got drinks at the bar while we were waiting. But once seated, the server didn't get to our table for at least 10 min. We ordered our food immediately and it took a little longer than usual to come out. Usually this restaurant is pretty quick. When our food did come out, it was luke warm. It seemed to have been sitting in the kitchen for a while before it made it out to us. The grits were extremely runny and I know that it not the norm for the other locations. When we asked for new grits, the server stated that they put too much water in the grits today so they would all be like that.. I was confused by this because if you KNOW the grits have too much water, why would you not make another batch?? Also, our biscuits did not come with the delicious brown butter jelly stuff that it normally does. When I inquired about it, they stated they ran out... Which was kind of crazy to me. I was very annoyed by the entire experience and certainly can't say that I'll be back to this location. read more

I got the Puerto Rican and let's just say The water was seasoned better. Service was good though

GREAT service! we came for brunch. our waitress was incredibly warm and kind. one member of our party didn't have much of an appetite and she offered to refund the whole meal in case she hadn't enjoyed it. fun drink menu, extensive and creative menu in general, and pretty good food! read more

The food was great and the service was excellent.....super nice staff and always willing to accomodate.

Richard, our server, was amazing. Great drinks, food and company! Thanks for the recommendations!

Worth the wait I had the praline and bacon pancakes wow they have such a great selection I will be back they also have a great bloody mary

There's always a long wait at the one in the business district, so we opted for this location. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. They actually deserve a 5 star rating, but they have a serious fly problem. The flies would have made it impossible to enjoy the food, but the food was sooooo amazing that we overlooked it. The only other downfall was the biscuits. They looked light and fluffy, but when bit into, they were kind of hard and dry and didn't offer much flavor. The molasses butter also didn't add to the flavor. However, everyone enjoyed the rest of their food. I ordered the bacon pecan pancakes and tried the shrimp and grits. Both meals were like a taste of Heaven in your mouth and the portions were HUGE! Everything was cooked to perfection and brought out hot. The praline sauce for the pancakes took them to the next level! I ordered the peach Bellini mimosa. It wasn't the perfect balance because there was more champagne than there was purée, but that's not a bad thing if that's what you like. I was still able to enjoy it. I didn't try the omelette, but my brother said he enjoyed it. My parents had the pancakes and the shrimp and grits as well. They shared the same opinions as we did. I would definitely return and highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Great service and amazing food. A must stop while in NOLA. Make sure to download the no wait app to reserve your place in line.

Cinnamon pancakes were the best pancakes I've ever had. Biscuit was huge and so good. Corned beef hash is different but so good. My favorite place for breakfast our whole trip! read more

Delicious food and bloody mary's! We went on a Sunday morning around 9am and only had to wait about 15 minutes, which was awesome! The food is insanely good and really flavorful. The biscuits are huge and the sweetened butter is delish! Fried green tomatoes were so tasty there was no need for a remoulade for dipping and the grits are fantastic as well! My friend who had the candied bacon said it was super yum as well! Really great casual place for authentic southern breakfast and great drinks. Even gave us a to geaux cup so we could get the morning events started! read more

NOT GOOD FOR LARGE GROUPS. I have been to Ruby Slipper many many times and usually this location but always with between 2-4 people. This time I went with my family and an out of town guest (group total 7) and this location was not at all good about accommodations. Via the Nowait app instructs you to call the restaurant if its more than 7 people. I did around 11:00 and was instructed to list 6 with a note of 7. The app said arrive for 11:49. My fiance and I arrived first, to be there early to check in, and were told at 11:35 our group would be next. However, they do not combine tables or allow anyone to add a chair to the outside of a booth (My dad is a bigger fellow so this is usually what we do at places if a booth is offered). So there are 2 large tables in the back they use for groups. One was occupied when I arrived and another was seated right before us. 30+ minutes came and went, several other guests came in and were seated. Every so often they would say 5 more minutes and blame it on the first group not leaving. We were not seated until 1:00pm. My concern comes in that the appropriate wait time was not given. If there was a large group seated already and another on the wait list, my groups wait time should have been 2 hours. I would think to give any large group at least an hour and a half to eat with 15-30 min wiggle room. Otherwise we could have made other arrangements or arrived at the appropriate time and not be standing around (as there is limited waiting seating) for over an hour. Other than that food is always good and staff is always kind. read more
