The service was fantastic!! Such sweet people, the food was amazing, a bit on the pricier side but it's 2024, not really complaining anymore. The set up was really amazing too, even the fortune cookie my friend and I got were perfect for our lives!

The owners are so amazing!

I happened in this week and had the best tam yam I've had in the area. The owners are so sweet and hub does the cooking. Fine servers make the whole experience memorable. Try the summer rolls. Their satay sauce is amazing.

When you first walk in, it's a very unassuming place, very moderately decorated but definitely not your run of the mill thai restaurant. Dishes: Thai Basil Fried Chicken-100000% get this if you enjoy flavorful chicken that's fried to perfection. The shrimp curry paired nicely with the pineapple. Highly recommend this restaurant and worth a drive out here if you live a bit further away. Service was fast and friendly.

The best Thai food hands I've tasted in Dallas, TX, thus far -- this place is good! The hospitality is excellent (you'll feel like you're at the family's house even if you're not part of Thai culture), the service is pretty decent, and the food is easily a 10/10 - everything we've ever ordered here.

I've been to Ruang a few times over the years. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated and the service is very good. However, I've never thought the food was anything above average. It's not bad, but it doesn't stand out. I'd recommend Asian Mint food-wise.

The food at Ruang is good! They offer lunch specials and lots of options for dinner entrees. Their spice level is on a whole other level! For those who like spice, this place will definitely meet your need for heat. The staff is incredibly sweet and very attentive. The restaurant decor gives tribute to the country of Thailand and has a nice feel. My only note would be is their prices are on the higher side, but I'd still recommend giving them a try!

If you're looking for delicious Thai food that is consistently well made in a quiet atmosphere with friendly servers, this is the only restaurant you need to know about! On the corner of 15th and Custer, you may not notice it at first but after eating there you will find yourself back at this place for more. We had pad Thai with chicken (mild), Penang curry, Massaman curry (mild). All were beautifully presented and tasted amazing! I'll be back to try the pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and the Tom yum soup (which is what the table next to us ordered!) The ladies there are so nice and even gave out roses for Mother's Day! We were so touched!

This restaurant is a delicious, fast, friendly, and authentic Thai food establishment! I ordered on the phone for pick-up last Friday night some Thai takeout which included: Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Pad See Ew, and 1 order of Duck rolls (comes with 4 rolls). The portions were generous!!!! We were able to feed a family of 3-4 people with 2 entrees and the Duck rolls. The taste of the noodle entrees were great, filling, and had veggies included. I like that the pad Thai had fresh bean sprouts on top that stayed crisp in the take-out container. We all agreed the infamous Duck Rolls were the star of the show. Like another Yelper said, they do NOT skimp on the Duck! Each roll is packed with Duck, cucumber, hoisin (?) and just excellent flavor. (I'm sure the rolls would be even better fresh if we dined-in, since the wrapper got a little soggy due to driving 17 minutes home with the food). However, I can't wait to try the rolls again in the restaurant another time!! Delicious. You MUST try this dish! The service was EXCELLENT, 5/5 stars: The woman working Immediately knew my name when I walked in (from my phone call order), and my food was hot, packed, and ready for pick-up quickly: 15 minutes after I called. She was super sweet, friendly and kind. She even gave me some complimentary small candies after paying at the register. Included were also two fortune cookies with my take-out order. Overall, I always find it hard to stumble upon a good Thai restaurant but I'm so glad I found Ruang Thai. The food is authentic and great, generous portions, and fast and friendly service. This is a hidden gem!!!!

We went with the Tom Kha soup and papaya salad as starters and pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao as entrees. First, I'll kick off the review with a note about spice levels, when they say 1-5 this is not a time to be cute. 2 is plenty spicy for most consumers. The Tom Kha soup was honestly the best soup I've ever had! Not just best Thai soup, but best soup in general. I highly recommend it. Excellent flavors dance on the tongue with every taste. The papaya salad was okay, but had us googling and referring to Yelp reviews to see if it actually had Papaya included. It's a white variation of the fruit, so yes, it is incorporated within the salad. It's okay but wasn't the highlight of the night. The pad Thai is exceptional once you mix the peanuts in throughout. That provides the perfect blend of flavors. The Pad Kee Mao was delicious. Excellently seasoned and tasty. Again, here is where I go to the spice levels. I am someone who loves spicy foods, but at level 3 I found myself at the edge of what I would like. That said, it was a delicious dish. Absolutely loved the taste experience and would highly recommend.

My wife and I went for lunch today around 1pm for our first visit…read more Atmosphere: nice, quiet for Saturday at 1pm, we were a second table. Then two to four tables occupied during our visit. Food: We ordered large tom yum shrimp soup to share, Sakhuu white pad Thai with beef and pad kee mao with tofu. Spice level 3 for all. Order of food received at the table: pad kee Mao, tom yum soup then pad thai Wife ranked the tom yum to be the best so far that we have tried in the Dallas area. We didn't enjoy it as much as pad kee mao. We should have tried the traditional Pad Thai. We wouldn't order the Sakhuu white pad Thai again. Service: this is where we were disappointed. Started off good by getting seated, received glass of water with lemon slice without ice. Order was taken and as the food was served and dropped off there was no follow up to ask how the food was. Not even once. We had to ask another employee for our check only to see 18% gratuity included in the check. I expect automatic inclusion of gratuity for larger groups and don't have any problem with even higher percentage gratuity, but not for a two top with a sub par service. Very disappointed. Although food was above average, the lack of service received and automatic inclusion of 18% gratuity just left a very bad experience for us. We won't be back...atleast not this location.

I didn't enjoy the drunken noodles as much, they could've been a bit spicier and more flavorful. The sweet and savory flavor of the crispy basil pork belly was excellent but pork belly could've been crispier. The lard duck salad was also another fav. Good service, our waitress was sweet. Pretty spacious inside.

Everything was flavorful and delicious, and I loved how the dishes had such a nice balance of flavors. Nothing felt too overwhelming, and everything paired really well together. Our waiter was also very attentive and stopped by several times throughout our meal to refill our water, which was honestly a godsend because I didn't realize how much water I had been drinking! Toward the end of our meal, we started singing happy birthday to my friend, and the staff noticed and came over to offer us complimentary ice cream. It was such a kind gesture, and the portion was perfect for the three of us to share. I've been here before, but this visit definitely left a lasting impression on me. I ordered the chicken pad thai (spicy) and the Zaap combo set opting for the Zaap crispy wings with sticky rice. Located off the toll , Zaap is small inside so when it gets busy seems to be a more grab and go spot. I ordered online which was seamless and upon my arrival my food was ready and I was on my way. Everything looked good and was well packaged when I got home, I was genuinely excited to try. I made the perfect plate of pad thai, a couple wings, rice and papaya salad. The wing combo meal was my favorite. The wings were fresh, seasoned so well and I loved the garlic pieces/flakes on the wings, wished they added more honestly. The only critique is I wished the wings were actually crispy, they were kinda soft but I'd still get them again. Misses for me unfortunately was the chicken pad thai and papaya salad. I've never had pad thai before so I didn't really know what to expect but I didn't care for it overall. My biggest issue was the texture of the noodles and it was somewhat bland, the chili oil I got did help some but between the noodle texture, sparse chicken and it being lightly sauced, I wasn't a fan. Papaya salad again is new for me and just wasn't my thing, it was spiced to my specification but nothing about the flavor appealed to me sadly and I really wanted to enjoy it. I will say, portion sizes of everything was great, all my food was piping hot and customer service was good so I would come back for the wings and just try something else out.
