Love the new menu. Excellent authentic Thai food. One of my favorite mom&pop restaurants. Definitely back to pre-pandemic quality and service (didn't the no-dine-in days suck?!?). Wonderful service, and there's always a relaxed atmosphere even when they are busy. I intend to work my way through all the new items. Love that they have soo many vegan and vegetarian options, and still have excellent meat for my carnivores. Specialty curries include Pumpkin and Mango. The yellow curry puffs are tasty. The hot Thai crispy chicken wings were the best appetizer so far! Super crispy wings, with a sweet and spicy sauce and crispy basil. The rice and pad Thai dishes are delicious. Today we got our favorite panang curry, the perfect ratio of curry, veggies and tender meat. Highly recommend the Tom Ka soup. Love happy food. Disability & sensory friendly.

I can't really complain about the food here. The Thai curries were all very good. I always go with the yellow curry and it was really good. I also ordered the coconut soup and it was just OK. I probably would get the other soup they offer for next time. my wife also ordered another curry and it was great. Service was pretty good and the restaurant is pretty basic. I thought the server help us very friendly cracked a few jokes.

Stopped by this Thai place on the way to Logan and was very pleased. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and vegetarian egg rolls. The shrimp fried rice lacked a little bit of salt or pizazz but overall was pretty yummy. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh (not that frozen taste). Now their salad dressing was probably my favorite haha. I asked what it was but the server doesn't even know because it's a restaurant secret. I wish I knew so I could have this yummy salad all the time! Great customer service with very attentive staff. I got a delicious banana wonton at the end of my meal as well. This place is ok, and if only comparing it to other Thai restaurants in Utah, I'd say it's pretty good. The portions are just a little small for the price. For example, my wife's shrimp pad Thai was $16.99 but only had 4 or 5 shrimp. I was glad though we were able to get a hot meal on a Sunday evening!

I was pleasantly surprised to find more Thai food I enjoy! I've been cautious entering this cuisine because of the coconut milk and the reputation for lots of heat. Shame on me! $8.99 Lunch specials during the week. Co-worker ordered the Thai Basil Chicken with the Coconut Milk Soup. I asked the waiter what he would suggest in curry for a beginner and he suggested what I was considering - Chicken Green Curry - and went with the hot and sour soup. HUGE portions! My co-worker eats Thai food frequently, and even he had to leave just a touch of it on his plate. He gifted me his egg roll, which I ate, along with my own. The salad had a wonderful dressing AND wonton chips, which I think belong on an Asian salad. The hot and sour soup was NOT like the Chinese soup I'm used to and it was amazing! As for the curry, it was contained in a bowl so I could fork out what I wanted and eat it with the rice at my own pace. The chili sauce on the side was tasty and wasn't very hot, which tells me he heard me when I said "beginner." They were seriously busy and appeared to have only 2 servers and some sporadic help from the kitchen. Even so, servers smiled and listened when it was your turn. DEFINITELY returning!

Dined here with my mom, sisters (including my sister in law, the pickiest eater who ever did eat), and my niece. Between the seven of us, we have a broad range of tastes and preferences when it comes to food, so dining out is always an experience (sometimes a not-so-fun one). We had lunch here on a Saturday around 1pm, and they were busy, but not full. They easily and quickly accommodated our larger group by pushing two tables together (it is a small-ish restaurant), and speedily brought out drinks. Most of us opted for the lunch special (props for it still being on offer on weekends!), and it is a steal at $8.99. In addition to your chosen entrée, it includes a salad, soup, egg roll, rice, and dessert. First off, they were a special, but if available, get yo'self an order of the curry puffs. Or two or three. EVERYONE loved them (again, consider those picky eaters), and while not possessing a strong curry flavor like I expected, they were just truly delicious deep fried crispy vegetable filled pockets of delight. For lunch, I had the green curry, and it was a good rendition, if unexceptional. Medium spice was a perfect level for me (be aware, it's the sort that builds). The salad is teeny, but the sesame dressing is yum. The dessert, too, is simply a wonton folded in half with a lil' banana inside, and a drizzle of honey, but overall you are getting a lot of food, and I really enjoyed the variety all these little sides afforded. Oh, and the well-cooked rice is served in the shape of a heart, guys. Awwww. Service was prompt and cheery. The owner was all over the place helping, greeting customers, and just being a cutie. Prices, not just for lunch specials but overall, are reasonable. It's a lil' divey, but in a charming way.

Stopped by this place for dinner after a day on the slopes. We wanted something to hit the spot. This place was super yummy. Service was a little slow for a Sunday, as they had a ton of to go orders, but we we weren't in any rush. The food made up for that. We had green curry and salmon curry and it was delish! Will def be stopping by this place more, especially after boarding all day!

Last week we were on our way from Las Vegas to Washington. We stopped over Ogden,Utah for a night. Big mistake with hotel. That is another story to share. We figured let's try some Thai food here. This restaurant has decent reviews and nice website. We ordered 3 items. LET ME TELL YOU! We didn't enjoy them at all. Hate to say bad things about this restaurant but those of you who write good reviews and say you have been to Thailand or have visitors who had been to Thailand and love Thai food from this place. If you happen to be in Las Vegas please go to just about any Thai restaurants in town you will taste the difference. By the way I am Thai and sorry for my writing skills.

It sucks that I wasn't able to dine in with all that's going on, but I did pick up some chicken pad Thai for lunch one day. It was ready by the time he said it would be, so that was great. Let's start off with they give you a pretty decent amount. I def couldn't finish in one sitting. The give you crushed red pepper on the side. Which to me of course wasn't spicy but that's probably because I have a high spice tolerance. I wish they would ask how spicy you would like it and fry it straight into the dish. There's definitely a lot of bean sprouts put into this. It had good flavor but it could've used just a tad bit more flavor. Just felt like something was missing. I would actually order this again though, I love pad Thai, and they're worthy enough for another go around.

Great for take out! Called Raun Thai in Ogden for some takeout. Headed over and it was ready in 10 minutes. They brought it to the car and handled payment there in a friendly and efficient manner. Most importantly, it was packaged very well. Foil lined styrofoam wrapped in cling wrap. No leaks at all. Food was fantastic as expected. Conveniently located on 12th St.

I tried this place out today with my brother and husband. We were pleasantly surprised. Agreeing with other reviews stating that the outside isn't much -and walking in we may have had our doubts but the food speaks for itself. We got the lunch entrees and everything was delicious. Service was great and I particularly enjoyed the coconut appetizer soup as well as the salad! So delicious. The beef massaman curry was great too! :)

I paid the extra $4.00 to get the scallops added to my dish. I literally got 2 small scallops! My husband also did the same. So we just paid an extra $8.00 for 4 SMALL scallops!!! TOTAL rip-off! Not happy at all. read more

This was solid! We ordered way too much... but it was nice to try a little bit of everything. The curries were excellent, Pad Thai was great and the Papaya Salad was nice! I would suggest that "medium" is actually hot... very hot. read more

Ryan Thai has the most scrumptious Thai food I've ever eaten in the Ogden area. Friendly employees and a great chef! This location is convenient to the freeway and easy to find parking. They even have dancing and karaoke. While I don't sing, it's fun to watch others. read more

I ordered the shrimp pad Thai and they left the tails on and didn't clean the shrimp. It was rubbery and overcooked and had a fishy taste to it. Almost like it was going bad. The pad Thai was overcooked and stuck to itself so every bite was a big mess. The lemon that came with it had mold on the skin. Do not go here. Edit-I made this review before I tried out their mango sticky rice because I thought, hey you can't screw up mango sticky rice. Well I was wrong, they undercooked the rice so it was hard and uncomfortable to eat. The mango was good, though. read more

I have really enjoyed the food here, the curries are really good, the drunken noodles. Their appetizers are delicious. I didn't care much for a salad I got one night not my favorite. They could work on the atmosphere in the restaurant. But overall good food and great for take out if you don't want to dine in. read more

I love the authenticity of the place with the amazing chandelier in front (fun), the art work is beautiful ( I wanted to touch it!) They took us right in after our first reservation fell through. Tv has a great cooking show (unless paused) Fireplace is inviting. read more

Great Thai food in Ogden! The staff was completely friendly and attentive. Came in for lunch and left with a full belly. Lunch portions are super affordable and very filling. 4 stars due to lunch choices, wish we could get more choices. Regardless, the ones we picked were full of flavor. $8.99 gets you soup, salad, rice a meal, eggroll and dessert-great value for your buck! So I'm pretty sure some of the employees intentionally tried to poison me. I found a mixed veggie dish I wanted to try and asked for it without red peppers. When I got the dish it had a bunch of peppers in it and asked if they could remake it because I'm not being picky, I'm allergic. I waited for like 30 minutes for my new food and it looked fine when I finally got it. I had already taken multiple bites before I realized the entire bottom of the plate was a layer of peppers hidden by extra vegetables. Like I don't understand if it was just a miscommunication between the waiter and the cook or if it was an intentional "screw you" type of thing. It definitely seems like it was intentional since they went through the trouble of hiding the peppers at the bottom, but either way that's super illegal and just straight up dangerous. read more

This is our go to Thai restaurant in Ogden. All my kids love the sticky rice with peanut sauce. We also all love the Yellow Curry, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, Coconut soup, and the Happy Friendly to name a few. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. Ridiculously good food. To pull off Pho and Papaya salad in same place was very impressive. Was a random yelped spot on way from Oregon to Colorado. Props. Nothing really traditional per se but everything close to traditional flavors and delicious. Ask for the spicy oil. Always something good hiding in the back. Not cheap, solid value, cash discount. Good Asian food is few and far between in Ogden, UT. Quality of food here is good and the authenticity is tolerable. This is certainly not the best Thai place I've ever eaten at, but my go-to when I want Asian takeout nonetheless. read more

This was my favorite restaurant. Was. Tonight I walked in and spent close to a $50 bill to sit in the lobby and wait for over an hour only to find out that they completely forgot to even make my order to begin with. I've never had to ask for a refund at a restaurant ever. No refund was offered. What was offered was $5 off of my next meal. If anybody out there cares to use my gift card they may absolutely have it. I will not be coming back ever. It just hasn't been the same since the new ownership took over. I will be telling everyone about the experience, especially Social Media. And I literally just downloaded Yelp moments ago just to write this review. read more

First time ordering from this restaurant from DoorDash. I got Pad Thai and Golden Bags. I can't stop eating!! It's all AMAZING!! The Golden Bags specifically are truly one of the best things I've ever had. It's like a meld of an egg roll and pork gyoza with a sweet chili sauce, and they are INSANELY good. The distance from them to my house is a bit, but everything arrived piping hot. The container the Golden Bags came in had vents (genius!) and are perfectly crispy, even after the travel time. Perfect, perfect, perfect. I am so happy! Will definitely keep this restaurant at the top of my DoorDash list! read more

I was excited to come and try this place. I'm a pho addict but they gave us a table right away then after more than 30 min waiting the owner comes and ask if we want to wait because they have a lot of pick up order, honestly I couldn't even eat because I felt unwanted couples that showed up after me had their food on the table before me!! I asked for two containers and the owner asked me again one? I said 2! She gives me the smallest container and waited for another 30 for an extra container. I'm not one that gets offended easy but what? Even if I'm Hispanic my money has worth too. read more

I was so excited when I saw that another Thai restaurant was moving in to this building. Their Golden Bags are to DIE FOR. They are so neatly wrapped and fried to a delicious golden crisp. I also sampled their crab cheese won tons, which were sub-par. My husband and I tried their peanut sauce fried tofu, and the pad see ew. I loved both entree's. We will definitely be back here! read more

I love Ruan Thai and have gone there for years. However today when I picked up my order, prices had gone up, and the portion was 1/2 of the size it use to be a few months ago. I can understand prices needed to go up, but it doesn't explain why the portion amount got cut in half. Makes me sad because now I don't want order from there anymore. read more

I love this place! It's super close to my work so I go here often for a fresh fast lunch. They offer geat lunch specials so its a bargain to at here for what you get. I useally get the Pan ang it's amazing. Do your self a favor skip the pad thai and step out your your comfort zone and try the curries you will be glade you did! I've been watching the renovation of this Ruan Thai (formerly Thai Monk Gol) and waiting patiently for it to open. The new owners have done an excellent job remodeling this old run-down restaurant. I went in for a take out menu and and was pleasantly surprised that the new decor is clean, modern and inviting. A far cry from the old previous owners decor. I ordered my usual yellow curry with tofu. I brought it home and was really surprised by the quantity. For $7.50 I got what seemed more like a dinner portion. The menu says that my lunch combination should have come with rice, salad, crispy spring roll and soup. I was really disappointed that my spring roll and soup were missing. I can understand if they don't want to package soup for take out and that's okay, but I was really, really looking forward to trying a new spring roll. Next time I'll have to make sure it's in my bag before I leave. The salad was a surprise. I've never been served a complimentary salad with curry, and it was boring iceberg lettuce and carrots but it had a good dressing. The curry itself was quite tasty. A little strong on the lemongrass, but very good. The tofu was cooked just the way I like it, a chewy skin and soft on the inside. Overall I was pleased and Ruan Thai is definitely a place I will frequent. read more

Overall, though the food itself is pretty good, with the self serve and price factored in, I'm not sure if I'd visit again.

We went here around lunchtime and got the lunch combo special a Steak Pho which came with 1 spring roll or 1 egg roll. I got the egg roll and it had pork and shrimp in it. The steak pho's broth was good, but it didn't come with a lot of veggies. I am Vietnamese so I expected a lot of veggies on the side. You want to make your pho smell full of that veggie plus pho smell. Despite there not being a lot of veggies, it was okay. There were three things I didn't like about the pho. One, the noodles were cut. This should never be the case. All pho noodles should never be precut. And two, they never gave out chopsticks. You had to ask for them. So I'm assuming you expected everyone to eat with forks? Is that why the pho noodles were precut? Three, there weren't a lot of meat with the steak pho- maybe 4 pieces in total. The egg roll though was really good. I love the large egg roll piece. It was perfectly fried and there was a lot of filling in it. I would say that the egg roll was the star of the meal.

She lines the clamshell styrofoam container with tin foil which I appreciate - there's nothing worse than getting an order in styrofoam with the bottom melted into my food - and PACKED it full of Pad Thai. The Pad Thai comes with huge chunks of broccoli, cauliflower, marinated tofu (I just about died from deliciousness)! Even if veggies aren't your thing, it's so well flavored, you'll crave it. I ordered the panang curry for my husband, and it's a good thing I went with a double order because he loved every bite. The lime leaves flavored the broth beautifully and the amount of chicken is unbelievable. Try it. Seriously... try it.

The lovely lady tending us directed us to Z World Express. It took a couple of passes up and down Main street looking at both ends of the RV lot we were directed to look for before spying the brick building with red white and blue sign. Not much to see from the outside, no hint that groceries are there, but on inside, jackpot!! This place is packed floor to ceiling with tiny aisles you have to squeeze through. There is a nice representation of Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, and some Indian selections. There are several chest freezers filled with a plethora of frozen seafood. The back wall is a bank of coolers with a nice selection of fresh veggies, Fresh Pho Noodles, and other tasy treats. I picked up Tom Yum soup base, Masaman Curry Paste, coconut cream, Thai Tea, instant Pho broth, Mabo Tofu sauce and a nice selection of snacks. Prices are actually a little less than what I am used to paying in Seattle, another nice bonus. The owners were very engaging and very helpful. They directed us to Best Teriyaki for a Korean fix, which turned out to be spot on. Good service, excellent selection of foods, definitely a hidden gem

This place is ran by rude women! If you want to go into some rinky dink building and have the wait staff be rude then this is your place. God forbid you call in an order, then call back to add something and want the total. Apparently they only have one calculator. They think they are the only Thai restaurant around, hahaha I can name ten in the surrounding area. I will never step foot in this shed oh I mean "restaurant" again. Take your money down farther on 12th by that rent to own place. That place is so warm and inviting, and they want your business, unlike Ruan Thai. read more

I have tried every Thai food place around such as Aroy-D, which was our family favorite for a while until we found this restaurant.The food presentation was beautiful and it was made with all fresh vegetables.
