I've tried the "blue light" competitor studios around the Reston/Ashburn area, I've tried the boot camp classes and cross fit.. but I felt that none gave me the options to tailor my training based on how I felt physically that day or week and none gave me the ability to control my own pace to achieve my personal fitness goals and stay motivated. In May 2019.. I found Club Pilates Sterling and I have been addicted ever since! The variety and skill levels of classes available are amazing. If you are a runner or any type of athlete - you NEED to add this to your training! If you're coming back from an injury or just getting started on a fitness program- this is definitely the right place! If you're looking for cardio or interval training - it's fantastic here too! And of all the places I have tried - nothing beats the expertise, genuine interest and support that these instructors provide. As an additional note - when COVID hit... the studio was proactive to reach out and find out what members wanted and the instructors quickly rolled out virtual classes which not only helped me keep off the COVID "15" but saved my emotional sanity as well. As of the date of this review (June 23) - the studio is back open!! with multiple layers of procedures and protections in place to protect everyone. And the class size is only 12 people. I tried my first "in studio" class post isolation last night and felt very comfortable and have already booked my next classes tomorrow and this weekend! I still plan to continue virtual classes on the days that I work from home. Again.. the key takeaway with this studio is you have options! Find what works for your body and soon you'll be addicted too.

Pilates really works parts of the body you never even thought were there. I like that Dominique pays attention to detail, such as my alignment and form when going through different moves and exercises...Basically things I never pay attention to but should. I have two more sessions left and after those I'm looking into trying classes also, especially the mat classes she plans on adding in the new year. I've been to a few classes here - like Arlington, it depends on who your instructor is but I'd say I like the Arlington instructors better. That said, many teach here, too, so you can catch them. Also, there have rarely been waitlists at this location for classes compared to Arlington which is now seemingly always full. The showers here feel super small and I'm not sure if the saunas are co-ed or not. The locker room set-up is odd and I didn't want to risk being seen naked by entering into a sauna where men could also go. I'll explore next time I'm clothed. Parking is free when validated but is usually pretty easy. I think the manager who worked there last year and was a nightmare is gone, so everyone I interacted with was super nice.
