I usually purchased a block of 10 classes.Good for 3 months, although with the pandemic as well as her missing classes she was good about making up classes missed. However in the spring when my son began began playing soccer I couldnt make all the classes. And I guess by now her classes had started to get more full. So when I had a break from soccer I tried to register, called her and found out she would no longer honor the 5 remaining sessions I had paid for, nor the remaining mat classes. She said I could have attended the advanced class she held during the week. I had actually tried one of these classes only to be called out by her during the class, informing the other members that they were getting an easier workout due to my presence. After that I no longer felt comfortable attending this class. Anyway, make sure you either never miss a class or get in writing what the terms for makeup classes are before signing up.

I tried several places and finally stumbled upon Esenyls Pilates through a Groupon. I figured since the deal for reformer classes was great that it would be worth a try. After my first class I knew I was coming back because of the instructor and the small group setting. It was perfect! I love the fact that even in small group settings Freda pays attention to each of her clients and makes sure they are in correct form. Her prices are better than any of the other studios I visited in the area! Pilates is great for the body and it's so important to have a good instructor. That is why I LOVE coming to Esenyl's. I can feel the difference in improvement in my core strength and balance. When I come in after work I come in with the look of stress and major tension, but I leave class feeling like I just had a full body massage. We take the time to stretch in every class and work on troubled spots. There's even a stretching class that's absolutely AMAZING! I say that because my body felt so good at the end of the class and slept like a baby that following night. If you're looking for a really good place for pilates or yoga, Esenyl's is the place to be.

My friend and I recently attended a Reformer 1/2 class with Nancy Bright and left feeling humiliated and embarrassed. She was aggressive and dismissive, especially toward students unfamiliar with classical pilates, but familiar with contemporary pilates, which she deems as "not real pilates." Instructions were not explained, and solely used terminology. When we didn't immediately understand, she scolded us, showed frustration, and PHYSICALLY FORCED our bodies into the positions she wanted. These positions were often uncomfortable and borderline painful, with no attempts or offers of modifications. She even made a remark that she knew she was "manhandling" us. Egregiously, when she was unhappy with my plank and was frustrated, I did not understand how she wanted me to fix it, she SLAPPED MY BUTT REPEATEDLY and repeated what she wanted me to do as if that would suddenly make me understand. She even admitted to slapping previous students' butts to "get their attention." As someone new to Pilates, I felt unsafe, embarrassed, and extremely humiliated. I had high expectations based on positive reviews, but this experience has left me so unsettled that I will not be returning.
