It is regrettable to see this store close. The professionalism and continuous courteous service provided by the owner and all the staff were unmatched compared with most other gun stores. My family wishes the owner and staff the best of luck for the future. read more

I was saddened to hear of the recent closing of RTBLA, will always have fond memories of the business done here. I've yet to buy or sell a forearm since its closing, just not looking forward to doing elsewhere. Thank you for all you did for the gun community Vache. read more

Have not purchased firearms/ammo directly from this establishment but used them as receiving FFL and complete DROS process to receive firearm purchased from another FFL. The experience was excellent. I purchased an item from another FFL and had it shipped to RTBALA as it is closer to home. No additional fees charged, just fee for DROS which is standard price. Will most likely have ammo purchased online and shipped to RTBALA as well moving forward since California does not allow ammo to be shipped to residence and charge additional tax. Good to know RTBALA charge low fee for this process. Vache, David, and the third staff member were accomodating, courteous, and professional. There can be waiting as they process one customer at a time. However, the waiting is usually no more than 5 - 10 minutes read more

Really good place to use as an FFL. Also the most affordable that I've found in the area. I've done 3 transfers here and each time Dave was super helpful. Keep in mind, gun stuff is inescapably slow. This is true everywhere in California. There's no way to rush the paperwork. But RTBA is efficient and they also have a waiting area where you can sit and hang out if they're helping other customers. If you've ever been to a bigger shop where you have to take a number and then just stand or wander around for an hour, the waiting area is a really nice courtesy. Only caveat: they're only open certain days of the week. Definitely check the hours on their website (not yelp or google) before heading over. read more

I love this place! They have a no-fee arrangement with Wilde Built Tactical (a San Diego area dealer specializing in CA-compliant firearms), and I've bought 3 guns this way. (RBTA LA takes shipment, runs the DROS when you come in, and holds the gun for the 10-day waiting period.) They also take shipment of all the bargain ammo I buy via AmmoSeek.com, run the background check and take just a modest fee. They administer the Firearms Safety Certificate exam & issue the FSC cards, too. All the people who work here are great. Highly recommend! read more

After a search for a FFL to receive ammo, I saw that RTBA wasn't charging customers an exorbitant amount for the service. So, I placed my order and contacted Vache to let him know a shipment was on its way. From start to finish, the customer service was AMAZING. Having ammo shipped rather than paying the outrageous prices to buy locally, I was assisted via email to make sure all my ducks were in a row for pick up. Once the order arrived, I called that evening and made arrangements to pick the ammo up on Thursday. I arrived that afternoon and it could not possibly have gone smoother. Vache was very friendly & personable, making small talk while we took care of the government required paperwork. It was as though we had known each other for some time. Not only will I return for my next ammo shipment, but my next firearm will be purchased through RTBA as well! read more

I did a PPT at RTBA recommended by the seller and had my first experience here. I was blown away on how fast and efficient these guys process transfers. I've done many transfers at big box stores and smaller stores and RTBA get the award for Best in the business. I think the whole PPT took 15min, which I have never seen with other places. I love that they don't limit transfers only to specific days or hours like other places, they actually answer emails quickly, and the owner remembers your name and knows the details about your transaction. The owner is super cool and treats everyone like a VIP. This is my new go to place in LA. read more

RTBA LA - RIA 1911 Tactical - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Burbank, California

My new go to FFL. I ordered a rifle through Wilde Built Tactical and had it shipped here with no transfer fee. It's appointment only which means no waiting and full attention of their staff. I had great conversations with the guys. While there I renewed my gun safety license and they did a nice job laminating my card. They also recommend an online ammo source and I had ammo delivered that I was able to pick up at the same time as my rifle. I currently have two revolvers ordered and another batch of ammo. Looking forward to working with RTBA again. read more

I'll put it this way, RTBA LA cares about the community it serves and they're here to serve the community and provide the safest, most informative, and best help for exercising our fundamental 2nd Amendment rights. With things getting crazier in our community, more and more folks are exercising theirs rights and it was great observing how attentive, supportive, and helpful Vache and team are to first timers. It's great to have people who care serving the community read more

Super cool place David and vache were super cool even started my DROS before my appointment. Will definitely have ammo transfer here for sure in the future. Can't wait to pick up my rifle. read more

Reasonable prices, excellent communication, and exceptional service. Thank you Vache and Dave!

I had a friend who was recently looking to make his first gun purchase and asked what shop I would recommend....the only person I could think of that wouldn't make me look bad at all was Vache at RTBA LA, I told him that he would be treated right and he wouldn't get price gouged like so many other shops out here. Later that week I get a text from my friend that everything went smooth and that Vache treated him very good. He was able to get his FSC and the gun he wanted ordered, the whole deal went as smooth as possible. I can't thank Vache enough for taking care of my friend and making me look good while doing it. Thanks again! read more

RTBA LA - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Burbank, California

I have been searching around and shopping for a new AR for roughly a year now. I shopped around several local gun stores and could not find a deal that made me pull the so-called trigger. Then I stumbled upon RTBA LA, I sent in a simple email asking to see what he could do for me on a DDM4 V7 PRO, I was expecting another over market value price just like all the other local dealers had offered. Vache responded within the same hour, with a price that I had to call in to confirm, just to make sure it really was what I had asked for as the price seemed unbelievable. Sure enough, everything was right. I placed a deposit over the phone immediately, waited a few days for the gun to ship in, and 10 days later... I am the owner of a new AR15. I could not be happier with the customer service, pricing, knowledge, and the experience that came with my purchase. I expect to do lots of business in the future with Vache, and RTBA LA. Thank you guys! read more

There is a reason why RTBALA only gets five star reviews: They are truly friendly and professional with every customer who comes through the door. Vache and Patrick are the real deal. There is no need to go anywhere else - unless you like to be treated like cattle. read more

By far the best, smoothest, easiest, fast, most friendly, great location, very professional gun transaction I've ever had. I purchased my first AK and did the transfer with Vache back in August 2023, I have since been to other gun shops (sometimes waited more than 2 hours) but RTBA LA is no match to others! You will receive the upmost 1:1 superior customer service from this shop. Trust me....you will not be disappointed!!! read more

I love this place because of Vache. A very knowledgable person who is also honest - A rare feat today. Great prices and selection.

We had a Revolver transferred here and the owner took his time with us and made sure we understood the mechanics of the pistol. He also administered our tests so we may legally own a firearm. This is my new go to gun shop! It's an hour away from me, and I have to pass several other gun shops to get there, but it's worth it. I don't want to over sell it, but they are cool and down to earth guys and they want to help, not just make a sale. I will end with saying, these are tough times, so good people, good service, and Pro 2A Californians need to be supported. I have a ton more to say, but I don't think anyone will read beyond this. Haha. read more

Vache at RTBA LA is a breath of fresh air during these crazy panic-stricken times with pent-up demand and very little supply. He is currently appointment-only due to Covid-19 and unlike 95% of the FFL's I've visited, he requires a mask AND he wears a mask himself! Yes fellow Yelpers, you read that correctly. He actually wears a mask! You can stop pinching yourself folks because I don't want you to bruise too badly. We've officially reached unicorn territory at RTBA LA. I've visited and have done business with roughly 20 different FFL's this year throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and the Inland Empire. I've placed calls and have emailed dozens more so I definitely have personal experience with a variety of FFL's in Southern California. Of all the FFL's I've contacted or dealt with, I'd only return to do business with 5% of them. RTBA LA is one of the FFL's I'm going to continue to use. Vache is communicative, responsive, and helpful. I know he's receiving hundreds of emails and calls these days like every other gun shop in this city but he always replied promptly to my emails and was even able to squeeze me in last minute. This is the kind of service that is severely lacking right now in the gun industry so when I come across it, I recognize it immediately and appreciate it. The recent rise in demand of firearms and ammo has made the whole gun shopping experience extremely unpleasant. This problem is amplified because new-comers fail to do the easy but necessary research to understand the qualifications and requirements of purchasing a firearm in this state. Because of supply, material, and part issues combined with a ridiculous increase in demand, few gun shops have firearms and ammunition in stock so people are forced to locate firearms/ammo through private sellers on the secondary market or FFL's located in different states. When this is done, you'll need a local FFL to process a PPT (private party transfer) or FFL-to-FFL transfer. For all those who do not know, PPT's are not a money maker for a gun shop. The Department of Justice currently charges $37.19 for the DROS fee and the gun shop collects $10 to process the transaction. Paperwork needs to be completed and many times buyers will either not know what's required, forget to bring necessary documentation, or will not qualify for whatever reason. Simply put, FFL's dislike doing PPT's because it can potentially be a long process and it takes away time from processing other types of transactions that help keep the shop lights on and running. As a fellow business owner, I completely understand this. During the beginning of the pandemic, most gun shops were still processing PPT's for the most part. However, this changed over time and now only a few FFL's in Los Angeles are willing to do PPT transactions even for customers who made prior purchases with them!!! FFL's are actually obligated to handle PPT's or risk forfeiture of license so when an FFL tells me they are not handling PPT's, I cringe because I know they can get into trouble if they are reported. FFL's who are smart will tell you they process PPT's but give priority to customers who purchase items from them so what ends up happening is that the wait time easily becomes 2 to 3 hours for the initial document signing and then another 2 to 3 hours after your DROS clears and you pick your firearm up. This lengthy wait time also occurs when you visit one of those big-box gun shops. Yeah, hard pass on that for me. Vache has an online calendar via his website that allows customers to make appointments for a variety of transactions including PPT's which is rare in and of itself but what made my experience 10 times better was him notifying me about having an earlier date and time slot to process my PPT. When I arrived at RTBA LA, I had everything ready and because Vache was efficient, the entire PPT process took a record breaking 10 minutes to complete! If any of you have done PPT's in the past, you know this is unheard of. *Mind officially blown. Before I end this review, I just want to give new or aspiring gun owners a few side notes. It's exciting and great you want to embark on this new journey but please familiarize and educate yourself with the guns laws in our beloved but restrictive state before visiting a gun store. Also, if you decide to do a PPT at RTBA LA or any FFL who is willing to help you, don't flake on your appointment time if the shop gives you one. Also, make some other type of other purchase. If gun shops only processed PPT's and sold very few items or services, these shops will eventually be forced to close down. Lastly, remember and support the gun shops who are patient and take care of you. Those businesses are the ones that give the industry a good name and deserve to succeed. Happy plinking everyone! read more

Best service you'll find and very honest people. Fair pricing as well. Highly recommend

I've visited most of the local gun shops in LA and RTBA is by far the friendliest and courteous shop of them all. Vache and Henry are super kind, polite, attentive, and respectful. Most other shops treat you like a burden, assume you know nothing about guns, and are almost annoyed when you ask questions. These two guys are the opposite. They remember your name, ask how you're doing, ask about your family, and they do it with genuine care, not just bs formalities. These guys have my lifelong business. I'm so fortunate to have found a shop that makes me feel as welcome as my own family. Please, support this business. It will be the best decision you've made, and you will be blown away with the pleasantness of the whole thing. read more
