I drove 40 min to purchase ammo here. My license shows old address so I updated address info and got approved on cfars doj website and I took gas bill as secondary address verification. The guy at the counter who was very not welcoming said utility bill is not acceptable and it must be government issued. I explained to him that I was already approved of address change with doj and I'm only buying ammo. He still said no so I had to just walk out of there. I went to 2 other stores in the area after which both said it's no problem with gas bill to buy ammo. So I ended up buying them at the second store since first store didn't have any 9mm. I'm not sure if the guy didn't know the law or if he was just being racist, but definitely not going back here for anything. read more

I have been to this store twice - the first time for ammo & the second time I purchased a gun I had my eye on for weeks - a Ruger Redhawk. Before my first visit, I went to a store closer to me - Turner's Outdoorsman. After dealing with the morons they hire (plus the long wait), I looked up some other stores & Burbank Ammo & Guns had the gun I wanted, and a good selection of ammo. And the salesman was patient with me, which took some doing due to my hearing impairment. I'll definitely be doing business there again. read more

The service people were nice however this store does not deliver undetermined and they knew this ahead of time when they were selling me a consignment weapon and all sales are final they do charge you a restocking fee if your clearance from doj comes back undetermined they wasted my time took one month to get rejected and to pay a restocking fee read more

I went to this place after work to check things out. I was looking for a pistol and some ammo. Despite being very busy for a Saturday afternoon, I was happy with the service I received that day, especially from Minor, who helped me with everything while I was there. When you walk inside the store, it is a quaint place where you walk in, and the firearms are on your left while ammo is on the right in a fenced area. Accessory kiosks line the middle of the store. This place has a great and large selection of rifles and shotguns. They also have new and a small selection of used pistols. Minor helped me out by helping me with advice on ammo for my Desert Eagle, and helped me with looking for my next pistol. Looked at a couple of Benelll shotguns, a used Glock Gen4, and some 1911s. After looking and Minor helping me, I decided on a 1911. The purchasing process was smooth and Minor and I were shooting the s*** talking shop and sharing random funny stories. Very helpful associate and I will definitely go back to this place and only look for my guy Minor. I highly recommend this place! read more

After being coldly dismissed by a gun store near the Van Nuys Airport, who not only refused to ship firearms but also offered no guidance, I was relieved to find Burbank Ammo and Guns. Horrible First-Time Buyer Experience As a first-time gun buyer, I expected Burbank Guns and Ammo to help guide me through the process. Instead, I ran into terrible communication and was blindsided by a 20% restocking fee--for a gun I never even received due to DOJ issues. At no point did they clearly explain that this could happen, and they offered no support or solutions. After looking through prior reviews, this seems to be a common practice! The lack of transparency and customer service was frustrating and disappointing. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would not recommend this place to any first-time buyers. read more

Horrible gun store and awful employees. One of the employees was incredibly condescending when he approached me, and talked down to me like I had no reason to be in the store. We stopped in Burbank Ammo & Guns last Friday to take our FSC test ($25 and they laminate it for you). I'd studied up during the week and passed with 100%, which I was super stoked about. We were both interested in purchasing the Glock19 and were told they'd be having a sale during Thanksgiving week. We returned the day before Thanksgiving for two! Service has been quick, friendly and efficient each time we visit and they often have many customers. The guys that work here are all really nice and their pricing is very competitive. We were referred here from a friend whose family does a lot of purchasing here. Counting down the remaining days until I pick her up! Extremely thankful for Danny and the entire team here who made our purchases so swift and easy. I'll probably make a few customizations and look forward to those as well. I was in Burbank with some time to kill so I popped into a few gun shops because there's none in my town of Sherman Oaks. Burbank ammo and guns was the last of three that I visited and the smallest, but don't let the size fool you. Their shop is loaded with merchandise and quite a few employees all helping customers. I was surprised just how much inventory and what a variety of products they were offering. The deal I was hoping for on 9 mm had just ended the day before and I learned that since I had not bought guns or ammo in quite a few years, I needed to update my records and take a firearms safety test. The fellow helping me was patient and thorough even though he realized I was not going to be spending money there today. His attitude and vibe was refreshing as it's not what you normally get from gun shop employees. Next time I'm in Burbank, it will be the first shop I go to. May God bless America. read more

I went into BUR A&G the other day before heading out to the range to find some less expensive ammo than what the range offers. Not only did I find that, but I also found some hard to find parts for my custom ak build there. To top that all off, not only did they have those hard to find parts, one of those parts wasn't listed in their system so they gave it to me for free! Bottom line, BUR A&G may not be the biggest A&G store but I've never had a problem finding good deals on a vast array of ammo, they have a good selection of parts available for many different platforms and their customer service is almost second to none when compared to other A&G stores. They are always my first stop when I want to buy locally and I highly recommend checking them out for yourself. read more

I wanted to spend some time to write a five-star review for Burbank Ammo and Guns, and the salesman who assisted me that day, Angel. To any newcomers to the store: there is a lot of activity here, but don't be overwhelmed by this. A lot of shooters are drawn to the store for what is literally a jam-packed selection of ammo, firearms, and gear at very competitive prices. Still, to me, character matters most. Angel immediately greeted me when I entered the store, was incredibly attentive to what I wanted, and ended up selling me a great rifle. As we chatted amidst the mountain of CA-required paperwork, I got to know Angel a little: he is a Marine with a few tours under his belt (now a reservist), but is now working part time at Burbank Guns and Ammo. No typical "gun store" gruffness on his part: Angel is a man of character who set a high standard of politeness and professionalism. This store hires good people who will make you feel welcome. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. My experience here was incredibly disappointing. One of the staff members (tall, thin, skinny, bearded, older man) was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Instead of providing help or even basic courtesy, he was condescending and dismissive. It made the entire visit uncomfortable and left a terrible impression. I'm visiting from Bay Area and waited very patiently to get helped and when I asked employee if I purchase a something can they transfer it to SF and he tells me to call someone names Kelly Thompson to get an answer.
