Two guys including the mgr are just standing around chitchatting while a frustrated obvious newbie learning as he takes longer than usually to replace the tire and tube on one tire. I ask if one of the guys chitchatting could do the other tire so as to be more efficient. He just kept asking me to sit down and he'll be done in 10 minutes. He obviously was not used to changing tire tubes. It costs $48 for the labor!!! I am currently w/a strained back. Such a rip off. I could have gone to bike kitchen and done it there with help. I foolishly thought getting it done at REI would be faster and with good customer service-I was very wrong. Recommend giving your business to local bike shops!

Since my first purchase, I've returned for a rifle with a fixed mag, which I learned before picking up I could have converted to "featureless", so I could use replaceable mags. I asked Ramiro about this, and that's how I learned Ramiro is an armorer, and he walked me through the conversion. He sold me what I later found was the best featureless grip handle on the market, and then he completed the conversion for free with my purchase of the grip handle, and my 2 new replaceable mags. I've really appreciated Ramiro's advice, insights, and the personal experience Ramiro has shared with me , which has all turned out to be valid and true. I have the bruises to prove it. I wanted a KSG. That's how I found GD. Thats how I met Ramiro. He didn't lie to me. He warned me about the recoil on a pump action shotgun like the KSG. I said I'd get used to it. He asked if I was sure. I said "I have to." So not only did he sell me a KSG, he stopped me from getting the scratched unit I was looking at, and got me a blemish-free KSG. As a newbie with no mentor to walk me into this world, I was willing to just buy whatever a knowledgeable salesman would sell me, simply accepting that a scratch was just how firearms sales can sometimes be--but Ramiro didn't let that happen. Ramiro really has been a great guide. He helped me pick my first 9mm--S&W M&P 2.0-and it's such a great firearm. It's solid. Reliable. Accurate. Comfortable. Looks cool. Comes with switchable grips. I bought Trijicon night sights on Amazon, and took over a month to make my way to GD for the install, only to find I had bought sights for the wrong S&W 9mm. Since it had been over 30 days, I couldn't return them, but Ramiro not only found me an alternative option (Ameriglo optic compatible GRM tritium) night sights--but also included the install with the purchase. I love my new Ameriglo night sights on my M&P 2.0 9mm! What a difference. And great bang for your buck. And they are optic-ready sights, so I can add the red dot later on. I appreciated being guided so knowledgeably. I follow Ramiro's lead confidently. And while I was there doing this, Ramiro asks me if I had with me the adapters that came with the streamlight I had on my 9mm, because he was offering to fix the streamlight I improperly installed on my 9mm (which was sticking out too far). I did not have them, so he offered to fix it for me if I just brought the adapters. I really appreciated Ramiro's offer, but more importantly I appreciated him pointing out to me my improper installation. I soon realized I could fix it myself. I've since fixed it, and I have yet again Ramiro to thank. To be clear, every single rep at GD has been helpful and totally professional. I've really appreciated the service I've received. Alonso, Danny, Jerry, Sherri, Alex all super helpful professionals. Alonso and Danny both remembered my name, which is shocking because this place is popular. I love love love Guns Direct. My gun shop for life! I already have my eye on two more firearms, and Jerry even has me thinking about a revolver. And Ramiro makes me want a semiautomatic shotgun. I love it!

Customer service apparently sold separately…read more Came into Guns Direct looking for magazines for my Glock 21. The store had ONE customer and TWO salespeople helping him. Apparently, it was a team project. I stood there for about 20 minutes while they answered question after question. Finally, one employee broke away to tell me they were out of stock. He offered an alternative, so I asked a very complicated question: "Can you ship it to my house?" The gentleman with the memorable haircut replied, "I'm not a shipping service." Fair enough. I smiled and headed for the door. Apparently, even smiling and leaving was unacceptable, because he then came after me to tell me that I was rude. So, just to recap: I waited patiently for 20 minutes, asked about buying something, asked about shipping, smiled, and left -- and somehow I became the difficult customer. If Guns Direct ever starts carrying customer service, hopefully they'll keep that in stock.

I would also like to point out that their lifetime warranty doesn't include damage done from defective product . They also won't advocate for you on behalf to the companies . This is the type of customer service I expect out of a major corporation , not a small store. So if you're looking for the type of customer service and support, you can expect from a small business , I would recommend looking elsewhere . Yakima on the other hand has been great to work with, they back up their product , and have great customer service. I recommend buying products directly from the manufacturer .

I have a fear of heights so go figure...I chose to do this, but glad I did. With that said, the guides and the others in the group were extremely supportive, fun and safe. We rappelled from two rock formations: the first I considered the practice run; the second the real deal at about 100 feet. Be ready for a full day - we met at 7:45AM and ended about 2:45PM. A few of us from the group and the guides went to lunch afterwards. It was an awesome experience, am sure to do it again and would recommend these two guides (Olga and Carlos) for anything. RP
