Castle electric had a reasonable hourly rate and although they have a quote fee, that amount is put towards the job if you choose to use them. well I liked the quoted amount(s) after they inspected the job and how much it would cost, they gave me the possible costs based on what they thought and it ended up costing me the lower of the 2 estimates they provided. they even quoted a couple of jobs I have been thinking of for the future.

During the visit, the technician spent very little time explaining the condition of my wiring or how much knob-and-tube wiring was actually present. I left with more questions than answers and didn't receive the detailed assessment I was expecting. Instead, the conversation quickly shifted toward recommending expensive electrical work without first providing a clear explanation of the inspection findings. Considering the upfront fee, I don't feel the assessment provided good value. I expected a thorough evaluation, a detailed explanation of the results, and enough information to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Finally, the power failed utterly to the problem circuits. Markarian sent Brandon Hill over in 15 minutes -- yes, FIFTEEN. He listened carefully to our description, gave his opinion that it was a utility problem, but that he would test for other possibilities first. After testing some of the circuits, he gave his hypothesis that we were having a phase problem: one of the two lines into the house was not supplying enough voltage. He tested the meter outside, showed us the low voltage on one line, and explained how the lines feed the circuits in a pattern that would cause the unpredictable outages. He also took pictures. He stood by while we called Eversource to make sure that we could answer all their questions. From initial call to final diagnosis, everyone at Markarian was efficient, courteous, and helpful. Brandon was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to and understand. I would recommend Markarian without hesitation.

Mike was a pleasure to communicate with. I've not worked an electrician before until this job, and Mike was able to answer all of the questions I had. After the work was completed, I paid the quoted price, which was VERY reasonable. I'm so grateful that Electrical Solutions took this project on. It's such a small job, but I'm very much enjoying our new bathroom exhaust fan. Thank you again for your time and care!

We found John McHugh Electric on Yelp, and we couldn't be happier that we decided to work with him. We moved to an old house with a basement that had hazardous wiring and light fixtures that weren't properly connected to the switches. There were also double tapped circuits in the electrical panel. So we hired John to remove old wires and outdated light fixtures, rewire junction boxes, replace old cable with romex, and install new LED light fixtures and an additional sub panel to add more space for future use. And John did an impeccable job with Mike! Not only was he a great electrician who is extremely knowledgable and professional, he was also honest, respectful, transparent, and all in all a total pleasure to work with. Unlike some other electricians who came by for a quote and then thereafter either went MIA or tried to upsell more things to us, John was super responsive, punctual, and candid. Look forward to working with him again in the future.
