Cute little road side restaurant with ample parking. If you are passing by, I would definitely stop by for a quick meal. They are known for their biscuits and burgers. So that what we tried. They serve breakfast all day and offer carry out. Walking in, it was the standard, small town welcome. Everyone (staff and patrons) looks at you and stares. Even after you say hello, they just stare at you. As a person of color who has been refused service in a small town restaurant (Lynchburg VA) I get really self conscious. I was not sure if was order up or seat yourself. There were no signs or staff instructions. Luckily our friendly and lovely waitress ( Mickey) acknowledged my wife and I. We got our seat and ordered. Lots of seating options. Can seat groups of up to 6. The menu has lots of options, but even more are posted on the wall...they have something for everyone. The portions are big and prices are very decent. Our waitress was friendly but slow only because she was the only one in the front and the place was packed it took over an hour to get our food. Having time to sit ana wait for our food. It appeared that the kitchen staff was new and the morning staff ended their shift as we got there. So with lack of proper turn over, there was a bit of confusion. The food was OK. Nothing to spectacular but not bad or poor quality. They had scrapple which is hard to find. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. All of the workers are on drugs. The lady cook licked sausage gravy off of her hands and continued to work on food. Our order was wrong and looked like it was a science experiment. May be finger licking good for the workers, but for the customers, I'd rather eat rocks. I was in your restaurant today and questioned whether the two dogs were service animals and was told they were not. I voiced my opinion that it was unsanitary to bring them into a place that prepares and serves food. I was then assaulted by two gentlemen and both became very heated. The younger man came from the other end of restaurant to engage me and called me outside many times to fight He said he was your best friend. Not only were you ok with that, but you also encouraged your friend to meet me outside to inflict injuries upon my body (your friend was about thirty years old and enraged and you wanted to see him fight a 60-year-old disabled veteran). Went to this place on our way to Capon Springs. I didn't realize it was past our destination but it was well worth it. One of the best burgers I've had. Fresh cut fries, meat, and a home cooked cozy atmosphere. We chatted with other patrons and the staff was super friendly. We will be back next time we go to Capon even if it's 30 minutes out of our way! We got the cheese sticks, kid's pancake (the cook made it in the shape of Mickey ears), bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger, and the roast beef sub. Everything was delicious. Well, we went back the next day, mainly to leave a tip we forgot the day before! Service and smiles were just like the day before. The food was just as good. I ordered the same, but husband had a different meal. Again, it was well presented and very delicious. It's not a fancy place as you can see, but it's friendly and accommodating, though small. The friendly attitude prevailed, and strangely enough, I had lost my hotel key, so they were glad to see me. They thought the key might belong to me. Seems it had slipped from my pocket. I had no idea where I had left it. Turns out, I had left it there! That in itself was well worth the return visit. I'm glad we found this place. We sat in the hot crowded restaurant for 2 hours . My food came as ordered and was very good. My friend waited and waited and waited for hers. We were told it was coming then the waitress finally confessed , after about an hour, there was a mix up on the kitchen and didn't know there were 2 burgers ordered . There are about 7 tables in the place so how hard can it be to notice that someone hasn't been served! Anyway don't go hungry and if it's crowded dio yourself a favor and turn around. The owner personally greeted us as new customers and everyone is very friendly it's just like eating at home with a bunch of friends. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable.
