I went back again and the service and food quality drastically declined. Thevprices have also gone sky high compared to other local restaurants. I will not return.

Went to this place on our way to Capon Springs. I didn't realize it was past our destination but it was well worth it. One of the best burgers I've had. Fresh cut fries, meat, and a home cooked cozy atmosphere. We chatted with other patrons and the staff was super friendly. We will be back next time we go to Capon even if it's 30 minutes out of our way! We got the cheese sticks, kid's pancake (the cook made it in the shape of Mickey ears), bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger, and the roast beef sub. Everything was delicious. Prices are right and it's one of those little gems that locals frequent so you know it's good.

Well, we went back the next day, mainly to leave a tip we forgot the day before! Service and smiles were just like the day before. The food was just as good. I ordered the same, but husband had a different meal. Again, it was well presented and very delicious. It's not a fancy place as you can see, but it's friendly and accommodating, though small. The friendly attitude prevailed, and strangely enough, I had lost my hotel key, so they were glad to see me. They thought the key might belong to me. Seems it had slipped from my pocket. I had no idea where I had left it. Turns out, I had left it there! That in itself was well worth the return visit. I'm glad we found this place. If we should return to Romney WV, we're sure to try them again. They close at 2:00 PM, so breakfast and lunch are what they serve.

RT 50 Biscuits & Burgers. Best damn burger from a sailor of course! You want to take a nice little drive and see God's Country take a trip o

Ordered a cheese burger, a medium bowl of chicken noodle, and a ice tea. Food was good, but thought that $23.00 was s little pricey.

Not bad but consistency is lacking. Very good one day. Very bad the next day Recipes seem to vary depending on the cook.

I love places like this as I venture around the area, but the Hamburger I got was not that good here. Would not try again.

A group of 16 of us booked for the weekend and I honestly can't think of enough great things to say. Seriously, everything about this place was AMAZING! I organized the trip, so I got to work with one of the owners, Jesse, to get everything set up. He was helpful, responsive, accommodating, and really kind. I organize a lot for my friends and myself, and this was one of the easiest. Upon arrival we were checked in by the other owner, Gary, who immediately made us feel like we were at home. He gave us a wonderful tour of the property and told us everything we needed to know for a wonderful stay. This property is nestled in the hills of WV and the views are STUNNING! Every space and room is beautifully appointed, really leaning into the upscale rustic vibe you'd expect in a mountain retreat. So many beautiful nooks and crannies to sit and read or play games or just nap. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous and Logan at the pool bar will take amazing care of you! They provide a complimentary breakfast of freshly cooked eggs, meats, and biscuits/scones. The lunch and dinner menus are varied and everything we had was delicious. Our servers, Rain (spelling ??) and Angie were stellar and the ambience was just perfect. Every single one of us left feeling refreshed and we were all sad to leave. Do yourself a favor and make the trek out to Lost River and treat yourself. This place is amazing and I'm already planning my next trip here with my partner.

However, our visit was overshadowed by our concern for the wellbeing of the mini horse at the entrance. As I understand it, horses are social herd animals, so it's quite unfortunate to see this guy living in solitude without companionship. Also, his shelter seemed fairly small, with limited shading, and mostly on a steep hill that was largely unattended to. These were our general observations while visiting. Maybe this pretty pony has another home he visits and is there temporarily to entertain visitors? We couldn't be sure. Regardless, I hope others share in this concern and that the owners consider ways to improve this guy's digs and, ultimately, quality of life.

It obviously is catered to an older crowd, which is fine, and other places do that way worse. We walked in and were greeted by a very cheesy Elvis statue. So that set the tone as we half giggled and cringed. The wait staff was very friendly and allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit. The table and light fixtures seemed clean enough but the floor has definitely seen better days. We were handed a menu that was much smaller than I expected and I was very happy for that. We ordered our food and in less than ten minutes we had it. The food was served nice and warm-hot. We immediately felt that it is a comfort food. The taste was fine but improved after we added salt and pepper (most places that cater to elderly tend to not season their food a lot) and we were more than pleased with the meal. The serving size was spot on for us and the price was more than reasonable. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did and as a result will definitely go again next time I'm in the area and feeling hungry.
