Well, this place has not gotten any better since my previous visit. The "super burger" isn't so super. The burger came out lukewarm and as dry as toast. The meat was way over-cooked and appeared the cook smashed all the juice and flavor right out of it. One of the worst burgers I've eaten. Our server was not the worst, but definitely not the best. She was more interested in talking to her buddies than taking care of all her customers. The seats are old and in need of replacing. Definitely last time I will waste my time and hard earned money at this dive.

The service and food here were A-OK. No one was wearing a mask so we won't be back.

Chat & Chew is a "Mom and Pop" restaurant, rich in history dating back to 1957. The decor is dated but has very interesting photos that date back to the beginning of the restaurant. The food is pretty good! The food is served hot and tastes good. I never had a bad meal here. The menu has a good variety of choices. The rolls look homemade. The service staff is friendly and welcoming. They make sure drinks are filled and the customer is happy. The restaurant is more than reasonably price. If you are looking for a good restaurant in a quaint small town, this would be the place.

Indoor gazebo for your dining pleasure.... Hysterical.

Waitresses are prompt, and accurate with orders. Food is presented fresh, and restaurant atmosphere is laid back.

Stopped here for their Valentines Day dinner. It was a train wreck from the start…read more We had reservations for their Valentine's Day menu meal. Reservations for 7. We got their at 7. and they had to "clean off some tables." That woman disappeared for ten minutes, then sat a group in front of us. I had about had it but but my lip and we were sat. Then we had three waitresses wait on us and struggle with our drink order before we got our final waitress who was a nice younger girl. That was about the nicest part of the outing. My crown and diet was watered down by the time it got to me. Yikes. I ordered a French onion soup to start. It looked good with the bread and melted cheese - but it was basically just cooked onions with no broth at all. Yikes again. For my meal I got the New York strip with peppercorn sauce and baked potato with veg. Well... the steak WAS NOT a strip steak - it was more like a ribeye. It wasn't cooked medium as I asked - it was a medium rare then rare then purple finish. The broccoli I received must have previously been located next to power lines - bc the vegetation on the stalks were trimmed off, and the peppercorn sauce was more like yogurt and flavorless with pepper sprinkled on top. Oh and the baked potato? It was a HALF that was plated in a way to seem like that was by design. Yikes. I'm usually able to suck it up, but if I'm paying $80 you have to bat at least 2/4. They went 0/4 and the bay never got off their shoulders. Won't be back. Sorry.

Bloody Mary's were very good and flavorful. My steak that was ordered medium was tough and small. The group agreed that overall the wait time from beginning to end was way too long and the food was mediocre at best. We were served a free glass of champagne by characters from a play at a local theatre. It was confusing for customers that didn't know what was happening.

(5 stars for flavor, 1 star for my wallet's feelings)…read more Dear Cafe Oasis, I want to start by saying I LOVE you. Your flavors? Elite. Your spice game? Immaculate. Your Pad Thai? Genuinely one of the best things I've put in my body. Your PRICES? Sir. MA'AM. EXCUSE ME. $26.50 for Pad Thai. Twenty. Six. Fifty. I ordered TWO, blissfully unaware, called it in like a man with a full savings account, and nearly needed medical attention when they said "$53 please." I looked at that bag like it should come with a deed to the restaurant. Now -- they told me it was HUGE, loaded with meat and shrimp. And listen, I believed them. I had hope. I had FAITH. What I did not have was more than 4 shrimp. Four. I've seen more shrimp on a cracker at a gas station happy hour. The chicken? A "scant amount" is being generous -- I'm talking a cameo, not a starring role. I travel for work. I eat carry-out for a living. I am a SEASONED VETERAN of the noodle arts. Pad Thai across this great nation runs $14.95 to $18.95. I would've happily paid $20 and left a tip with a smile. I would've paid $22 and told my coworkers about you. I MIGHT have even survived $24 with therapy. But $26.50 had me waking up the next morning in a cold sweat, staring at the ceiling, doing the math on four shrimp. Cafe Oasis -- I love your soul. I love your food. Please, for the love of all that is holy and saucy, love my bank account back. Bring those prices down and you'll have a customer for life. Keep them here and I'll be crying into my homemade, budget Pad Thai wondering what could have been.
